...but I am sooooooo happy!!
I called about a practicum site again today and the woman remarked at how I have been having a hard time getting her all week and she was just headed in for a group session. She said she was going to turn the phone over to her secretary and she would give me the telephone number of the main facility to speak to Human Resources. I got the number, the name, and extension. I called and she told me she would call back the woman I just spoke to and have her do an interview. I would have an application to fill out and I needed to talk to her again in the afternoon. So I called this afternoon and this woman tells me she really doesn't want to do an interview, but she wanted to let me know there is much more involved than just apply and interview. I would have to go through fingerprinting, child abuse clearances, federal clearances, etc...and asked if I had a problem with that. I told her I had no problem with any of that and actually already had my child abuse clearances. She informed me she wanted new ones because of how old these were. I said ok - that would be fine. I asked if all of the paperwork would go through by the end of May and she said we will make it work. Soooo...she asked me to call her cell phone on Sunday to make an appointment for Monday. It looks like I am in! this woman is also working on her Master's degree AND is the sister of a gentleman I have not seen in years, but used to be friends with. Her and her brother also know my parents from attending the same church years ago when my parents were still able to do that. It sounds like a good situation and after the conversation I felt a BIG HUGE weight lifted off of my shoulders. Have I said lately how blessed that I am? I truly am blessed.
