Closed face reels work just fine, thank you Sir! In FL, I have a couple of smaller "lake fishing" rods,and one big-assed ocean fishing rod. That was great for pier fishing, or to take out on a boat. Unfortunately, I never got to use that one.

You have room for me if I come out the night before? Awwww, how cool is that???
