I am so right there with you aishah on the beets!
My parents forced me to eat everything on my plate and many a night a dinner that started at 5:30PM, saw me still looking at the plate of beets at 9:00PM. Just looking at them can still make me gag.

i'm extremely grateful my parents never forced me to eat anything. it was a requirement at the pre-school i went to though
 i don't understand why schools do that.
