The Winter Ball was fabulous. 220 butch/femme folks in all our finery and diversity. There were out-of-towners, some first time ButchFemmeSocials attendees as well as familiar faces. Thanks to all you for helping create community.
We also raised $435 in cash and food gift cards (Safeway, Trader Joes's, etc) for the Meals for Reals folks. This is double what we raised last year!!! Meals for Reals provides food gift cards to lesbians in Alameda County who don't qualify for food stamps or their food stamps have timed out. Many many thanks to those who donated in this crappy economy. You are helping lots of b/f folks and other lesbians with your generosity. And DJ Luna rocked the house with an amazing variety of music with sets of salsa to country western to waltz to hip hop.
