One of the problems im haveing in my work outs is low back/leg fatigue,I do a lot of core and leg work,infact 75% of my work out.I listen to how it feels so some days its not to much and I do what im comfy with but use those muscles as much as I dare.I got down to 245 and have gained 15 back because I was haveing so much trouble with my sciatica I could barely do a work out at all.The doc said for me to to rehab but the stuff he had me doing was really not enough plus I still was haveing the same probs.SO one day I was in his office and ask if he had a chiro on staff or a masage therapist....noooo he said...so ow I have nedicare that covers a chiro,I was going to go to one.He was thappy to hear that but I went any way.Its been two weeks and im doing better than ever,I have little to no sciatica pain.What I do have is one spot about half a palm of you hand sise at my tail bone that is definatly still there.The pain in my neck ,arms no more pinchy headakes or tingling to my fingers.All this is a major plus,I have more energy now than ive had in a long while.Goddess bless the chiro.

![]() I have been quite challenged lately. Mainly because I am not challenging myself due to my umbilical hernia. I have been eating well, just can't seem to keep on the exercise wagon when I am not allowed to do my favorite exercises. Our trip to Virginia Beach added 4 pounds of happily gained vacation weight. Delicious (bad) food, and spectacular company. I am absolutely positive that I would have gained more than that, if Gaige and I had not spent so much enjoyable time walking during our trip. I am completely impressed at her fitness level, and football tossing prowess. She is the first person who has not only kept up with my fast walking pace, but may even walk faster. I love that about her (among many other things ![]() So, since my return from VB heaven, I have only worked out a few times. I really need to shift it back into high gear. I have so many big plans that cannot be accomplished unless I keep moving forward, despite my injuries. I hope you are all enjoying your Sunday! |

It amazes me how one simple show, and one transformation, can really change a person's perspective not only on their lives but on life in general. I just finished watching Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss edition and it was a very emotional episode. The gentleman on the show, Tony, weighed in at the beginning at 398 lbs and the show profiled his year long weight loss journey. In that year he had so much life thrown at him; one of his sons died, he got out of a serious relationship and was also homeless for 6 months. Yet even with all of that thrown in his way he didn't let any of it stop him from reaching his goals and by the time the show was over he weighed in at 200 lbs.
His dedication and determination to lose the weight even in the face of all the adversity he went through is truly inspiring, and it hit a real nerve with me. I, like many of us here, have had life thrown at me from all angles and food has always been my crutch. I've allowed myself to get to a point where I am endangering my own life simply because I've let food get the better of me. I must change this and as of today I will no longer let myself be a slave to food ~ its upto me to say no thanks and know that I am worth more than what I put into my mouth ![]()
