Actually enjoying being told off because I bought something, when I was told not to, cos, sometimes, random presents just have to be bought, no matter what's been said.

...his caring for my comfort enough to carry beach chairs, umbrella and a cooler of cold drinks down to the beach

...his noticing that the back yard was getting scruffy and mowing and edging it completely just because it needed it

...his putting gas in my car...paying and pumping...because it needed doing and the smell of gas makes me feel icky

...him assembling the new fans....rather than me doing it and cussing. I can assemble stuff and have done a ton with this house, but it stresses me out and he knows it

...him running to the store for ice and bread because we need them, instead of expecting me to do it

...talking about building raised beds, and the kiwis and tomatoes and peppers we will grow

...it's having a partner in life....the "we're in this together" and working together towards a goal and handling the tasks of daily life together kind
