Hey Blade. While I have never tried any of the following you might want to see if any are available in your area. Let us know if any are and you can be are Gluten Free Beer Critic :-).

My favorite commercial beer is Fuller's ESB. When I was in London some years ago, I looked for a Fuller's pub, to no avail. But I take it on draught here in the States whenever I can find it.

I brew my own beer- I brew ales and stouts/porters. I've got a CO2 system (or in the case of stout, nitrogen), but I also bottle some of each batch to give away. I don't brew lagers- fermentation for ales occurs at room temperature, but lager fermentation must be refrigerated- I'm not buying a refrigerator for that (or giving up room in mine to fit 5 gallons of fermenting beer!). Luckily, my own taste is for ales, so it works out. I've got a batch of porter on hand- my next batch will be a red ale.

Oh, and I just checked- there are gluten-free beer kits! I'll put that on the brew list.

Yee Haw! When's the party. Sounds great. I have wanted to make my own beer but I simply do not have the time.

Usually prefer a bock or a lager but will drink the ale and pilsner beer if they aren't available.

Guinness. I can never pass up Guinness on tap, and love it in the can. It seems to be the only beer that doesn't sour my stomach.

As I have been trying to eat gluten- free I am checking out those listed on the link posted by Okiebug61.

Damn, now I want a beer.

I tend to like the darker beers like Guinness. I am also fond of the mexican beers like Modelo and Victoria, but my current fav is Dos Equis Amber. I will also occasionally drink a pale ale like Rolling Rock. Of course it always has to be super cold or in a frosted glass. Uno mas cerveza, por favor!

I have never had the Amber! Heard it is really good. I can't say Dos Equis without laughing about the commercials.

I'm having a Widmer Brothers seasonal ale tonight (brrr!):
WB makes it for the holidays and it has a slightly warm, spicy taste.

sidenote: Widmer Brothers makes two other special brews: Alchemy & Drop Top
(I like both of them, as well). Widmer Brothers is a local brewery (1984).
They're the 9th largest brewery in the US.

Default It's Winter!

So, one of my favorite stouts is here again.

http://brooklynbrewery.com/brooklyn-...hocolate-stout

Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout

It is an Imperial stout, which are my favorite. 10% alcohol, so you have to be careful! I decided to buy a whole case as my store only got 5 cases and the manager explained that is is possible they won't get anymore until next year. She said this is something they do not have control over. Last year I had a hard time finding it, so I thought I should plan ahead!

I set the case aside and won't have more than just a few a week.

If you like an Imperial stout with chocolate notes, this is your beer! AND, it is only 320 calories!

Side note, it should be served in a snifter glass.

Default Growlers

I'm a little late to the table, but I've recently discovered the joys of beer growlers. I can sample the beer before I choose, and get ~3 pints out of one growler-- all of which makes me much more game to try beers that I usually wouldn't buy in a 6-pack. Plus, it's draft, and tastes so much fresher than bottled beer!

A recent purchase was creme brûlée stout. I liked the sip or two I sampled in the store, but when I poured a pint of it at home, I was over it in three sips. It's like drinking an alcoholic milkshake…gah!

My current favorite is Southern Tier 2x IPA. Damn good!

Speaking of fatty beers... we just put a Bourbon Soaked Vanilla Bean Porter into primary fermentation the other day and our Wildflower Wheat (brewed with chamomile) is ready for secondary fermentation. As you can tell it's obviously a no calorie summer!

Any other home/hobby brewers?

i am drinking an Aviator DEVILS TRAMPING GROUND TRIPEL. It is a canned Belgian, brewed by the Aviator Brewing Company.

It is a typical, high APV, Tripel. Goes well with a turkey sandwich.
