YSK: You Should Know.....

YSK I didn't know where to put this, so I put it here.

Tonight, I ran across something my friend who just passed said to me. At the time, it seemed out of place for him to say it...so much so that I texted it to myself so I wouldn't forget. Funny I should run across it right about when I needed to hear it. (2-3 days ago might have been nice, though.)

Here it is:

"You don't really have friends. You know a lot of nice people, but you don't let them do anything for you. You don't tell them any secrets. You don't reach out to them when you need help."

He was right.

And YSK, süß Ehrenmann, that I am working on that.

YSK that monster ninja sloth just needs a nice manicure.

YSK that friends are more valuable and precious than anything. Even if you don't call them up to say I'm hurting.

Ysk that after much deliberation maybe a pygme sloth would be a prudent choice.

YSK that even though I don't technically need a roommate, I was glad I had one tonight! She stayed up and talked to me for hours, even though I know she was tired as hell.

So glad I reached out (it's hard sometimes), and glad a true friend was there.

YSK... last day of kindergarten for the General Sprout. She is frantic about leaving her teacher for the year. And I guess she intends to celebrate by wearing her red Christmas dress, black leggings and hot pink sandals. I can only imagine what she will do to her hair while I am in the shower.
