As one who hopes to join the ranks of Huma Abedin (though in a much lower State Dept position), it REALLY pisses me off to see people attack bureaucrats. Your elected reps are the ones you can blame for laws and policies - the bureaucracy just carries these out.

Bachmann's attack on Ms. Abedin is so far out of line, members of her own party are distancing themselves from her, John McCain chief amongst them.

Now, one of the most conservative members of Congress has to explain to his own constituent at a town hall why there is no religious test to hold public office. DO PEOPLE READ THE FREAKING CONSTITUTION?!?!

Anyway, it gives me hope to see even the most conservative folks starting to do the right thing. I hope this is a trend that will continue.

I am SICK about Bachman's comments and wish she would get censured or SOMETHING.

Oh, and apparently there were 3 or 4 other Representatives who signed or supported Bachman's statement. Seriously?!
