The older I get, the more I realize that it really does pay to choose one's friends wisely. Trustworthy friends are few and far between, and, those who are were not issued knives at birth.

The older I get, the more I realize that it served both my daughter and I well that we are not 'best friends', but have a very healthy Mother/Daughter relationship. We not only love each other, but like each other very much.

The older I get, the more I realize that alone time is healthy and feeds the calm and peaceful side of me.
