Ok, I will share this even though I do not find it creepy. But it could be viewed that way by others.
I was once very close to someone who had powers beyond what I had ever imagined-one of the things she would tell me about was astral projection. One night, she and I were talking via IM to text. I was curled up and comfy in bed when something in my room fell. The noise was very loud, pretty close to me and I was absolutely petrified. I did not want to get up to turn the light on but, of course, I did. There was nothing; everything was in place and there was no reason for a noise to have happened. The very next message I get from her is that she is sorry, to not be scared but that she hit something in the dark when she came to visit. I did not have time to tell her what had happened. And, her telling me that she was the cause was enough to calm me down. I was used to to "odd happenings" since she and I had become close even though this particular thing was new. I know it sounds made up but I am telling the honest truth about it all. And even more so, there is so much more I could tell. ![]()

The girl I was working with, I had never met before this night. I came back with a message that made sense to her, not me. She came back in tears and apologizing and tells me word for word an event that had happened to me and a message. She thought she had made it all up as it was so awful and she thought I would be upset. It was that one event that instilled faith in me. I studied under that Shaman for about 8 years. It was so powerful.

Oh i just thought of another one. Like many of you i have tons of things that were really strange happen to me.
First i want to say i mean no disrespect and if i mess up on the usage of proper words for Wicca, i humbly apologize. This is how i remember it.... My ex, many years ago, not on this site, was a Wicca and i found it all quite interesting but never really got into it. Anyway, one hallows eve there was a Wicca ceremony held near where i live, in Townsend. I decided to go, honestly because it was Halloween and i thought it would be scary and also, it was an open ceremony and welcomed non Wiccan people. So we get there and my partner at the time, put a black cape on and joined her coven at the bottom of this hill. At the top of the hill were about 20 people that clearly didn't have a clue what was going to happen, including myself, so i felt very comfortable. The ceremony started as some of the group that were part of the Wiccan started separating and facing North, South, East and West. It was very beautiful and they were chanting and their gowns flowing. It was so peaceful and we non Wicca were on top of the hill nearby sorta clumped up together in awe. Within the chanting they would name names of who the spiritual person for each direction and then they would take a moment of silence. When they got to one of them, it was the one called Diana, something strange occurred. There was this amazing breeze. It wasn't wind and it's hard to explain. It was light, not like a "knock you down wind". It's like the only thing that felt pressure was our hair and mine was up high in the air in that breeze. It was cool, it was refreshing and for lack of a better term, it felt like pure love. The crowd in the field and on our little non member hill stood silent after it subsided. You could have heard a pin drop. The Mother Wicca (for lack of a better term) or leader, that stood in the middle of the coven, started slowly moving up the hill toward us. No one else moved. Not one single person. Then, she came to our little group and walked RIGHT UP TO ME. At this point i was crying. I don't know how i knew, but i KNEW she was coming to me. She kissed my hand. She said "Diane is eager for you to come home to her. That wind was a kiss for you". She turned and walked away back down the hill to the coven. I froze in place and continued to cry. It wasn't embarrassed tears, or scared tears, no other way to describe it other than peaceful, heartfelt tears. While at the event, i wasn't scared. Afterwards i sorta became scared. I have never been back. There is definitely something interesting about Wicca. I adore them and even though i am not a member, i feel a part of them in some way. And yet...another event in my life i will never forget.

This stuff is so cool. I'm the person that always wanted something like this to happen to me, but the closest thing that has ever happened to me is that I have zoned out while driving.
I do not recommend that, kids! It doesn't really happen anymore, but it would happen in FL all the time. I don't know if just knew the routes so well or what, but I'd be driving along and then BAM! I'm a minute from my destination and I have no memory of the past 10, 20, 40 minutes. None. It actually started to worry me quite a bit, because I didn't know what happened during that time and whether I was a good driver or if did some dangerous driving or fell asleep or if I hurt anyone or anything. That part of it was really scary....the not knowing. |

Okay, I've got another one. This happened when my cousin and I were children. We were playing in the front room by the fireplace. The fireplace wasn't lit and it was somewhere around mid-afternoon. Out of nowhere, this booming whooshing roar came from what sounded like the fireplace. We were both 8 and 6 respectively so it freaked us out. We screamed, got up, and ran into the den to tell my aunt what happened. She wasn't there. Scared to death, we ran all over the house screaming our heads off trying to find her mom.
Finally, we went back into the den. My aunt had been there the whole time and never heard us screaming (impossible). Now that I think back on that memory, I recall no sound. Nothing but our screaming and footsteps. No birds. No traffic outside. Nothing. It was this weird silence and I only noticed it was gone when we got back into the den and sound started again, like somebody had pulled earplugs out of my ears. I think we slipped in and out of a time vortex. I have no idea what the roaring sound could have been but I'm sure it had something to do with the time slippage. Weird.

Again, years ago, different ex. We were having dinner at a really nice restaurant. There was a salad bowl between us. Clear glass. We're just talking when out of nowhere, straight down a white/clear orb slams into the middle of the salad and shatter the bowl and sends salad flying everywhere. There was no further sign of anything in the bowl, just shards of glass and salad. No ball, or lightbulb, or rock, or anything. We both saw the orb. I still don't know what the heck it was or why it was pissed at us. LOL

Something happened TODAY that was kind of cool, actually.
It was nearing lunch time and I closed the gate after allowing one customer in. The customer came into the office and we talked for a minute and he paid. As he was leaving, I glanced out the window and saw a beach ball resting against the gate. I inquired if it was the customer's and he said no and that it had been rolling down the middle of the parking lot (my property is very long and narrow) while he was driving in. I had customers on the property that run a thrift store and so I thought that it must be theirs. No one else but the two customers had come in or out for more than an hour. So, I went down to them and yelled at them to keep their balls to theirselves from now on (we're good like that) and we all laughed and then the customer tells me that the ball is not theirs. I asked them if anyone had driven past them and she said no, but she had seen the ball rolling past them earlier and thought that someone's kid had dropped it. There was no one at the back of the property. I had just checked it less than 15 minutes prior to this exchange. There are no homes near my property. I'm in the middle of a field that has one commercial business next door (but I never see/hear anyone), railroad tracks several hundred feet behind me and nothing to the other side. I'm surrounded by razor wire. So, this blow up beach ball just materialized, apparently, since no one went in and no one went out and it did not belong to the two customers that did go in and out. There was no one on the camera surveillance and the ball rolls from around the side of a building that has a blind spot. ![]() At first, I thought "Kewl!" and then I thought "I've got to post this!" and then I thought "F*ck!" cuz at that point it started to remind me of the movie IT and instead of balloons with blood, there was an air-filled beach ball. ![]() gulp Although, I still say it's kind of cool. As long as Tim Curry stays the Hell away. |

When I was about 13, my uncle bought this big old triple decker by the Connecticut River. It needed lots of work and what not. I guess to start out I need to be at the beginning....
He was taking a bunch of us through the house, showing us the first 2 floors which were empty. We were on the 2nd floor going out the front door to see the attic apartment. When he opened the door I felt this HUGE gust of wind pass through it and around the group of us...my hair didn't move though...and no one else felt it. That was my sign.... After we moved in, we got the place fixed up: painted new carpet in the bedrooms etc. So within a few months, things started happening. First off, nearly every night I would feel "someone" sit down on the edge of my bed. At first I thought it was my hefty Maine coon cat....but soon realized...it wasn't him....lol Along with the feeling of the bed depressing right in that spot, I would hear this very regular breathing...coming from the corner closest to my bed. You should understand that I was raised not to fear the dead...we are Irish....lol So after a few times this became my normal nightly routine. The strange thing is, my mom would come in to say goodnight and I would tell her about the breathing and she could never hear it! (There was ONE TIME she did hear it coming from the rocking chair in her room....that was the only time) Im thinking this will be a series of posts about this house because there were OODLES of experiences there...it was very interesting to say the least. We spent about 6 years living there....all good things.... ![]() |

I've posted this story once before a while back, but I thought I'd share it again.
Back in the day, a few friends of mine and I decided to spend a night drinking and attempting to reach new heights of "consciousness". I don't condone drinking and driving, but my best friend was a better driver under the influence than sober. Besides the fact we were young, stupid and didn't care to know better. She took the wheel and we proceeded to party on. Keep in mind, there were four of us. We were driving around this area of Jersey City by the Colgate factory by the waterfront. At night, this place is dark, deserted and creepy in itself. This was the area where most people who wanted to get their party on would go pretty much undisturbed. As we are driving around laughing and goofing off, we see three children - one taller boy and possibly two girls running from the factory's basement steps across the road and behind some other buildings. We ALL saw this at the same time. We drove around to look for them because it was really late at night and there was no reason why kids should be out that late - but we couldn't find them. As we drove back around the block, we all saw the shadows of these kids running from one side of the building across the street behind another. We drove around again, and found nothing. The interesting thing I remember about these kids was how they were dressed. It was not fashioned to recent times. The boy had on an old fashioned kind of hat and clothes that were reminiscent of earlier times. I started to feel as if we were witnessing ghosts that have been wandering this area for a very, very long time. What was even creepier was that we heard children's laughter. Faint, but identifiable. We drove around and could not find these kids. It got to a point where we were so creeped out by this event, we were not about to get out of the car and further investigate. We eventually got the hell out of there and took our party elsewhere. One might say that this could have been a suggestive hallucination, especially since we were under the influence. But .... it wasn't. We all saw this at the same time and even shouted out a "did you see that?" at basically the same time. It wasn't like one made a suggestion and the others followed. We talked about this for a long time afterwards. I am a woman of logic and reason. But I am also a believer in the strange and unexplained. If I can't find any logical explanation to a given situation, I willingly concede - and this was one of those times.

The morning of Saturday May 21, 1983, I was sitting on my front porch steps enjoying the Springtime. All I saw out were a group of little girls doing something way down at the end of the block. I have never seen them before, so, I thought they were just visiting someone who lived there. Suddenly these beautiful little girls came to where I was sitting, and without even a word spoken, started running around, picking flowers nearby, and silently giving them to me. Everytime they returned with more flowers, I softly smiled, and thanked them, but was wondering why they were doing this for me, and not saying anything. It was surreal. Then, I got "The Call", and my good father died in an ER, totally unexpectently, a couple of hours later. I left, and after I returned, I never saw those beautiful little girls at the end of the block again. I will always wonder how those little girls knew my father was going to die so suddenly, silently, giving me all those freshly picked flowers, for his funeral.

I bought my home three years ago in a probate sale. The lady who owned it and passed away was the original owner from 1958 until 2008 (when she died). When I bought it, nothing was stated that she died in the house (I know if she did, they are legally responsible for telling me and nothing was disclosed so I am assuming she died elsewhere).
I have never had any issues in the house. I have had two roommates who never complained of anything, so I never have had any reason to believe that there as any activity in the house, lol. I recently got a new roommate. She moved in on October 30, so it hasn't been that long. I came home really late one night, and she and her girlfriend were in the kitchen and the house reeked of sage *cough cough*. I figured they were smoking pot in the house and were trying to cover it up. I really don't care so I didn't ask what was going on. The next day, we were talking and she asked me if I had ever experienced any "weirdness" in the house. I said, no.... Why? She the first day she moved in, she hung a light from the ceiling. When she came home, the light was shattered all over the floor, which was impossible since it as secured tightly. She also said that night the house reeked, they had done a "cleansing" because her motorcycle helmet had been kicked across the room. So, I start freaking thinking wtf?? Why now? I never had any issues and this and going to start my paranoia about a freaking angry ghost in my house. Ugh. Maybe everything has an explanation behind it. I don't know how a motorcycle helmet gets kicked across the room, maybe she was high, who knows. So last night we are all sitting watching TV and talking. We hear this really weird noise in the kitchen and a bang. We look, and there was a rug, which was securely resting on the wall and had been for several days with no issues, fell over and slammed on the floor. Huh? My roommate looks at me and says, "see!?" dammit!

Also, one more story...
My grandmother passed away June 30th of this year. When I got the call that she was sick, I was making plans to go up to see her (5 hour drive away). My family didn't tell me the extent of how sick she was, or I would have left days before. She was in hospice at home, so we knew she was going to die eventually but didn't expect it to happen so fast. So, the night before I was going to leave, I was really struggling with the fact that I didn't leave that night. When I went to sleep, my grandmother came to me in a dream and told me something to the effect of "I will be ok" (I can't remember exactly, but I remember sitting with her and looking at her and feeling a sense of calm). That morning, I packed my stuff and as soon as I pulled out of my driveway, my cousin called me to tell me she passed. I will never forget that, and I still get extremely emotional when I think about it. But, at the same time I feel lucky because I was able to "talk" with her before she died. It gave me some closure since I wasn't there with her. ![]()

About 10 years ago, my then-husband, my brother and I had gone to see my dad in Amarillo. When we got on the highway, I ended up accidentally headed the wrong way. I didn't realize for a while until I saw a sign showing the miles to some place in Oklahoma. We had driven for a while, so rather than turn back and go the way we'd come, we decided to take the smaller farm to market roads to get us going south again. However, we did have to turn the car around first before we could do this. When I did turn around, I saw for a moment an image of Jesus in my rear-view mirror. At the time I was a pretty staunch atheist. In this image, he was floating above the highway median, looked to be about 10 feet tall and had his hands slightly out at his sides. I knew it was just one of those things you see out of the corner of your eye sort of things - I didn't think Jesus was really floating above the highway median.
Anyway, I mentioned it to my then-husband and described it to him because he tends to be interested in these sorts of things. And we went on our way down the back roads toward the highway we were supposed to be on. We came to a small town about 15 minutes later where we stopped for gas There was a border collie there with a bent muzzle (I assume from an accident). He was very charming and seemed very much to want to get in somebody's car. He was pretty pathetic - just trying to make friends with anybody. We asked about him inside the gas station and they said they'd never seen him before but he was probably dumped. My ex and I were already beyond our limit with the number of animals we had, and we didn't know really what we should do. We gave the dog some hot dogs from the gas station and drove off. And within 5 minutes we were back with a plan to pick up the dog, bring him back with us to Austin and see if we could find him a home since we couldn't keep him. He happily jumped in our car when we came back. As we drove out of town, we realized we were in Nazareth, Texas. When we got back to Austin, we went straight to the emergency vet I used to work for and asked if we could turn in a stray to them. The girl who worked there loved border collies, had a border collie, accepted the dog and said she'd contact the local border collie rescue group who would snap him up. I always kinda felt like the rearview jesus was a random sign that we were supposed to help the dog in Nazareth, but it's been pointed out to me that you really can't throw a stick without hitting a town in Texas with some sort of biblical name. Still most don't relate directly to jesus and as an atheist I didn't spend much time thinking about the guy.

I was 13 or 14 when this happened and I was living on Oahu.
I was home alone one Saturday afternoon watching the telly. I started to hear my mother's music boxes go off in the other room for no reason. So, I thought this is strange so I got up and had a look. They stopped right before I got to them. A few months passed and it happen again to me. This never happened to anyone else in my family. I know there are plenty of ghosts and other weird things that live on Oahu. So, it all kinda of made sense in a way. |

I didn't expect to be writing anything about our current house..it's probably under 20 years old....but
Today...I was alone in the house... I was working at the stove, cleaning the stove top....I had the hall light on (to my immediate left) and while I was standing there, the light got interrupted as if someone had walked by. It was very distinct and it took me about 3 seconds to stop what I was doing and realize that since no one was home, that should NOT happen.... Then, later I was getting ready to go to the store. I was looking everywhere for my keys. I figured I left them in the hatch when I was getting stuff in. I went out and put the dogs in the car and looked. Nada. Went in and did a sweep of the entire house. Still nothing. I went back outside to the car, and was about to check all over it when I suddenly heard the back door close. I froze...knowing I was entirely alone in the house...and then decided to go look ![]() "There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, Than are dreamt of in your philosophy...."
