Conservative lawmakers in the Ugandan Parliament are once again pushing a bill that would make being lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender a crime that is punishable by death.

The Ugandan "Kill the Gays" bill is back on the Parliament's schedule to be passed before the end of the year.

After he initially endorsed the bill, President Museveni responded to international pressure and promised to veto the bill. But it's going to take a massive outcry from activists to overcome intense pressure at home and ensure that he keeps this promise.
