hmmm interesting... thanx ... im going to see if our favorite high end super Super market ( Wegmans) sells this ... they sell a lot of specialty type items
in fact ....... 1 of there stores here .. the largest one .. on of them super /super markets lol ... had them mushrooms called truffles ..$75 an ounce i think it was marked and in the produce section in a pexi glass case with a lock , you had to get a produce person to come and unlock it if you wanted some.. lol

Barb, I have a few like that...one I call ploppy boy and he always lets me know when the bowls are empty of food, no matter what time of night it is, lol.

Yes Truffles are a very expensive high end mushroom. I have had them once when I lived in Scotland. They are very very good but I'm not paying that much for any kind of fungas..LOL

Now I love bleu cheese and British Stilton. It's wonderful with a good port wine.
