Compliment someone on BFP!

My compliment is to EVERY individual who makes up this community. It would not be what it is without any of you! So many times we hear someone say, "I just can't stand the drama." Well, quite honestly drama is life. It is how people live each and every day of their lives. It is the interactions between one another and that does include good and bad experiences. This unfolding drama within our community has taken both forms. We see people timed out or permanently banned for their behaviors. We hear whispers of what happened with this individual or that one. Quite frankly most people are interested in hearing because it has been people we all have interacted with at some point on the forums or boards or even in real life! For this reason, I want to thank the Admins and those who keep the site going and for each and every member of the community...whether we know each other or not. I think it is also important to make a post like this to be all inclusive. We do not want others to feel excluded from our community or for them to feel there is a clique among a select few. Yes. Some people have been members for longer time than others and some have been afforded the luxury of attending reunions, but let us be ever mindful that there are also others in the community that just do not have the means to do so and still would like to be included. For this reason, in my opinion, ALL members of the community receive a compliment from me. Thank you for being YOU and being a member of a community of which I am a member too. That's all. *Smiles.

I'd like to bounce my thoughts off this post because I think it goes beyond complimenting everyone at the same time. First I want to say, we have no cliques here and everyone usually gets along fine even when we agree to disagree. Mostly what I want to share is there are times when an individual(s) stands out above the crowd and deserves to be recognized in a post by someone that sees this. Personally, I don't care if you've been here a week or I've known you online or in real life for years, if I see your selfless acts of kindness, I'll let you know, whether it be in this thread or another.

BTW, PaPa, I wasn't calling you out on your post, I was just expanding my own thoughts past your own thoughts. It's why we're all individuals with our own opinions.

I want to compliment everyone who have hung in there recently for a challenging and sometimes emotional discussion about gun violence, ownership and control. It was tense at times and we had our moments, but in the end, people stayed calm and seemed committed to communicating with respect.

I want to compliment a certain femme (she knows who she is!) on her indefatigable honesty, even when her opinions might be unpopular in any given thread. I’ve grown some (little teeny) balls watching her speak her mind.

I want to compliment the butches I’ve come to appreciate for being gentlemen with their kind reps. Butches who reach out to femmes they are not hitting on, well, they make me feel optimistic about the world and to realize I've just been traveling in the wrong circles.

I want to compliment the femmes on this site who have been incredibly open about their sexuality, with humor and brains, to boot. I read your posts nodding my head and going, Oh yeah, I can see that…

I want to compliment the people who have gone through breakups in the last year, with people on the site, and remained classy about it; not a single snarky passive-aggressive moment, at least not that I noticed. One femme was even able to be particularly vulnerable about her feelings; again, without trashing her Ex. I’m raising my class to her.

I want to compliment the admins on this site for keeping their commitment to tolerance a central driving force behind their interventions. I’ve never been on a site where butch/butch love, bisexuality and other sometimes frowned-upon ways of being were protected in such a consistent way.

I want to compliment nycfembbw for coming up with the concept for this thread. She knows a lot about community building and speaking to people's strengths.

I could think of a lot more compliments, but for now I'll just end with this:

Group hug!

(I’m so NOT a group hug person. If you knew me, you would have laughed at that one.)
