The S.F. LGBT Center is planning a memorial for Mike McLeod aka ChatDaddy, aka Mike, aka JYD sometime mid-February. They will let me know the exact date in a couple of days.

Mike worked as the Facilities Manager there for many years. If you would like to make a donation to the Center in Mike's name, go to their website to do so at www.sfcenter.org, any amount is welcome. OR mail a donation.

The San Francisco LGBT Center is located at 1800 Market Street, S.F., CA 94102

Parking is hellish in this neighborhood, I highly recommend public transportation. Nearest BART station is Civic Center and you can either wak the four blocks OR take MUNI from there one stop up.

I am visiting SoCal this week and was wondering if there are events on the radar? Are there any butch/femme friendly establishments anyone would recommend? I will be in LA all week...probably til after February 14th!

The memorial for Mike McLeod aka Chatdaddy, aka Mike, aka JYD will be March 16th at the LGBT Center, 1800 Market St., San Francisco. I know this is piece by piece information but I am waiting for them to confirm the exact time.

People interested in speaking at his memorial are asked to keep their remarks to under 3 minutes.

Any recommended things to do, places to go, people to see, for a older butch/femme couple in San Diego? I'll be there most of the summer, since my gf lives there, but she's not really connected with the lgbt community at all. Any activities for LGBT folks that aren't geared to the under-40 crowd?

Hi! I am from San Diego as well! I would look at events through The Center (www.thecentersd.org) and check out meetup.com. There are 2 lesbian groups, butch-femme meetup and San Diego lesbian meet up. The butch-femme meet up has no action, but there are sever events on San Diego lesbian meet up. There are also the hot flash dances that happen once a month that draws a late 30's and older crowd that is always fun.
