It was another one of those days where my smiling was contagious. I was a little bit grumpy this morning when I realized I didn't have time to make coffee and the lineup was way too long to go buy one.

Work itself was great again. We had a few guys come in who were on a roll with jokes. It reminded me of the old men from the muppets, in all honesty. I spent my lunch reading and interacting a little with other clients.

I had a lot on my mind and as overwhelming as some of it was, I couldn't help but smile. I feel so good lately!

I get to stuff my face with a properly cooked roast and all of the trimmings now

We have been enjoying watching our new friend for several weeks, at the marina, a burrowing owl. Today, we discovered that there is not just one owl, but an entire colony, and it was so awesome to hear all of them chattering to each other from their burrows.

An unplanned (on my part) dinner out with my honey....

An unplanned visit to my mother's for a visit....and she made fresh sugar cookies!

Spending time with my eldest child...she is so excited about getting a new pet rat..and the rat is very cute and sweet..a good addition

Getting to see my mom's pit pup Mae Mobley...she is getting so big...and she is SO stinkin' smart! And yet strangely intimidated by random things...lol

I went for a late night coffee at a 24 hour cafe type chain. When I got in there it was empty. I went up to the counter to order, nobody was around. I waited patiently. Out of the corner of my eye I saw this ridiculously adorable flamboyant teen dancing away in the back room with the broom.

He turned BRIGHT red when he realized I was standing at the counter. I bought him a cup so he could relax and we had awesome small talk for 10 or 15 minutes. He's 18, has big dreams for a small place, openly gay and involved with GSA's and his idol is a Queen. How can I not smile?

I wanted to hug him and take him home! That would be wrong, I know. LOL. It felt nice to get out in the fresh air with nobody else around.

I'm smiling for so many reasons!
- was able to check in early yesterday - have an awesome room
- registered for the convention
- caught a few workshops and a few amazing groups
- within an hour, saw colleagues and friends - old and new
- had a great dinner and drinks with a few friends

I had a great day! Work was great, a friend brought me coffee, grocery shopping didn't take half as long as I thought, I saved a bunch of money, I had company for other errands , people on my mind, floating, a potential work placement for a few weeks and deciding that I'm going to order take out tonight because I CAN!
