 An early Valentine's gift from Gaige. She sent this to the office today, so that I could have more accessible nature, when I am in the call center. I found it so soothing to look up at this today during difficult calls. It reminds me of her, and the many creeks and streams that I see when I am out hiking in Oregon. It is beautiful, and it really shows how well she knows me (I really love live plants, not flowers that die), and how thoughtful she is. Thank you very much my sweet Butch, I love you.

I've been trying to put my money where my mouth is with regards to self-care and treating myself well. It's so easy to make excuses!
Today, I had to grab lunch while running errands. I considered McD's or Wendy's, but then decided "what the heck?" and went to my favorite deli and sandwich shop, that I'm always "too busy" to go to. I had the best hot corned beef sandwich with potato chips and a pickle, and even threw in a piece of carrot cake . It was so pleasant, none of it sitting under heat lamps and wrapped in foil, in a nice dining room with a real fork. Best of all, from counter to food delivery at my table was no more than 15 minutes. All for the same or less cost than fast food.It was so worth it, and I felt so cared for, even if I was caring for myself .

Tonight at work, I walked into see my very good femme friend sitting in the interpreting chair! I thought I was supposed to be working with another one who made discriminating gay remarks to me not knowing I was gay, and is just an overall pain in the ass!!! In the middle of class, the mean interpreter walked in 20 min late. There was a scheduling snafu, and after femme and mean terp talked, mean interpreter left! Yay! Femme interpreters rule! Lol...
