Yes they sure do! You're making me blush over here :P I haven't stopped smiling all day but I have been having my share of moods too. Care for some whine while we sit and catch up?

Giddy is good! I think our energy might play off of each other a bit tonight. I am really caffeinated and fluttering around, even after a long day

Well maybe I AM a little cute when I blush *laughs* Not too cute though. I don't want to draw attention Do you like red wine with chocolate or white? I have been on a red kick since the holidays, not that I drink that much these days.

LOL I can feel your enthusiasm as loud as I can hear my productivity calling. What do you have to read for school? I love to read but I can also whine about having to do something when I'd rather be procrastinating with something fun.

I will then likely kick myself for actually taking a break.

Hey Folks-

I just wanted to give an update on the chat room situation.

We have been going back and forth for a week with the new chat solution and I just sent a very stern email to them about their piss poor customer service on helping us get the issue resolved.

It appears to me that it might be best to reload the old chat solution for the time being until we figure out if the new company is going to be a good thing. I tend to get pissed off when Im trying to spend almost $500 a year for a product and they can't bother to answer many emails. Needless to say, doesn't bode well for what their customer service would be like under a new platform.

In the meantime, I wanted to say I appreciate the folks who have been patient and understanding about this issue rather than making shitty comments about how long it's taking.

Linus and I both work full time jobs (that often entails WAY more than 50 hours per week) and do not receive any income from the Planet. We are working for free for this community and have to do that on our personal time in addition to our real time jobs and families. That is sometimes inconvenient for both us and for you and we do appreciate your understanding as we work out the kinks.

It's the least we can do! You do so much for the community here. THANK YOU Medusa (((Hugs))) I know you really don't get enough credit for all of the time each of you put in on top of everything else.

I am really sorry that they haven't been responding and I appreciate you keeping us in the loop for what's happening. It would be great to have chat back until you can figure out a solution but just know that we have managed so far and really understand that you have other things to do besides trying to fix chat. Obviously you care, otherwise you wouldn't be working so darn hard all of the time!

Would the old room be safe to use right now?

We completely disabled and off-loaded the old chat solution so I actually need to reload the files and scripts to the server before it will be usable.

I'm working on that now. It could be a lengthy process depending on how our server cooperates and I hate so say we might have the old chat solution back online tonight because I don't want to get your hopes up, but know that I am working on it!

Although I am one of those who migrated to this site for the sake of chat and have been anxious for restoration of the chat room, I've come to find over the last week that the forums have been both entertaining and interesting. So in a way, the delay of the new chat room has benefitted me greatly. I'm sure there must be others who feel this way too.

My message? I appreciate all the effort you and others have made to provide this civil venue for us communicate about things that matter to us, as well as things that amuse us.

Hi Medusa,
Please know that I am grateful for you and Linus giving so much of your time, unpaid, to help the site run as smoothly as it does. Patiently waiting to chat, no big deal here. I've used the forums to talk in and dont' mind using this temporary chat forum to connect with others. I appreciate all the hard work all of you give to the site and for trying to give us a chat that works.
We can wait til you get it fixed. Getting to know others here is kinda fun this way. Bantering back and forth is always fun. But seriously, thank you and thank you to everyone else that helps this site to run.

Yall must have more patience then I do! I work in the IT industry for work and trust me if something doesn't get fixed and I usually give them about a week max to get the ball rolling. I will be demanding money back or speaking to the supervisor. Again I am not speaking for just myself we all appreciate what yall do for us, and realize you are doing this on your spare time.
