Yesterday was a fruitful day... I caught two rainbow trout.. both about 6lbs or so.. !! I was surprised that I landed them because there are so many people out there fishing. For Me, it is more the peaceful meditative feeling that I like when fishing.. than the catch itself. Most times I catch and release.. however, normally My first catch of the season I will keep.

Today is another gorgeous day.. and before I go to Easter dinner at My Mom's.. I am going to get all of My camping gear around.. get it sorted.. and see if there is anything I need to replace or just add to.. and then when the time comes.. I will be ready to just head out into the woods..

I hope everyone is enjoying the day.

6 lb Rainbow Trout???? thats a very nice catch indeed!

Hey count me in!! I love being out in nature. I really love riding my mountain bike, fishing, hiking with my dogs, camping, deep sea fishing trips,surfing, boogie boarding, and hiking.

This weekend is the local Lilac Festival, and the weather looks to be awesome. I'll be loading up a bike and a camera to head off to the park! It's a hilly park and will make for fun riding.

Sports.

Camping.

Kayaking

mountain biking

surfing

skiing

I want to go on a mountain biking trek to Franklin mountains during the school break. I know it's going to be hot as hell. Maybe some early morning biking then kicking it in El Paso during the day.

Anyone from El Paso or close by want to get into some outdoor fun?

I love to camp and have the tent and all the equipment. A large group of us used to go to the hill country several times a year to this wonderful private campground on 600 acres called Little Arkansas. You could float in the river, have open fires and relax to your heart's content...all without a huge crowd of people. I have also hiked to the Rim at Big Bend park where you can look over hundreds of miles of desert below and been to many of the major national parks such as Yellowstone, Glacier, Yosemite, the Grand Canyon, and rafted on the Rio Grande. Theres nothing like being out under the stars at night with a blazing fire and the people you love.
