1) tulips springing up that I planted when I first moved here.
2) reruns of Designing Women 3) faith of friends and family 4) chickens. I am getting chickens this year! 5) not having ANY alcohol or drinking around me. I am grateful every day of this environmental sobriety!

a tramp at opoutere beach (you tramp through da forest and it then spills out onto da beach) a 2nd tramp, at wentworth valley trails sendin' off a few postcards while waitin' on food to take back to da bach (an amazin' chicken and bean burrito) bein' delightfully knackered...

Why stop at just 5......
Late evening strolls at dusk with the scents of magnolia and gardenia wafting in the warm Southern air.
The dahlias I planted this spring growing tall and strong and ready to bud out. Leisurely shopping in the new art supply store and coming home with a bag full of potential joy. Brushing dirt off tomatoes still warm from the sun and tasting of all things summer. So juicy you eat them over the sink peaches. Stepping out into a soft morning breeze and the way the hem of my skirt brushes my calves. That tomorrow is Friday!

A lukewarm (kinda cool) shower on a hot day.
Feeling squeaky clean and fresh after said above shower. The scent of freshly laundered and dried on the outside line clothes. The feel of the muscles of the body relaxing into the recliner when it is kicked back. The luxury of a/c and a nice cold drink at the end of a long day. |

Date night with the girls... laughter with fishbowl sized margaritas!
The sites & sounds of the world slowing down at dusk (at least in mine). Sunsets the colors of cotton candy (warm pinks, purples & oranges). The smell of suntan lotion on warm, sunkissed skin. Early morning smiles that are just for me. |
