Going for a walk with my best buddy today down by the sea and getting hit by theeeeee biggest wave EVER! Only to find her doubled up on her hands and knees roaring with laughter completely bone dry while I am standing there soaked right through from my belt to my toes . . . . Haha!

Remembering my favorite guy at the shelter who recently moved out coming to visit Friday afternoon.
He: You're a mom right? Me: Yes? I've told you stories of my kids before. He: Yeh that's right. Well, Happy Mother's Day. Me: Awww thank you! That's very sweet of you. He: Sorry if I beat your kids to the draw but I won't see you over the weekend. Me: It's totally okay. I don't mind and I know my kids wouldn't either. Today he came in and asked how my Mother's Day went.

I work in "special education". I have the pleasure of watching the 2nd graders I work with blossom. One of the trickier ones totally rocked his "standardized reading" test. Passed with room to spare. Damn he rocked it!

Had dinner with the bestie. Perfect day for a ride with the top down.  Had a nice soak in the tub at the end of the day.  (the only thing that would have made it better would be a bath tub that's long enough to stretch all the way out in!
