What is the ickiest food you've eaten

And people wonder why I'm very reluctant to try new foods.

I've had some terrible food in my lifetime, but right off the top of my head, what's coming to mind is a moment back when I was in college and stopped into a cafe owned and operated by my college and decided to try an espresso.

I've heard of people asking what the worst that can happen upon trying a new food/drink/whatever is, and my answer to them is "The desire to rip out your own tongue to make the suffering stop."
