FEMME DAY!

We saw a movie last night called 'Snow Flower and the Secret Fan'. It's a beautiful movie, dealing as it does with the special relationship between two pairs of Chinese women (born in different times) and the 'laotong' - sisterhood? - relationship that binds them. Reminded me a lot of the femme-femme relationships I see here and whenever I'm lucky enough to share space with other femmes (which sadly, isn't that often).
