In the middle of my Sunday shift at work, hearing hard rain on the metal roof in the stockroom  always a good sound.Also smiling...I think tomorrow will be the last day worked before vacation. I'm having more dental work, and I know for sure one sick day, but the next one will be just attached as , I need more rest

A successful family visit that could have been stressful. Family that was "removed" before I was born, due to a divorce, who I met for the first time 12 years ago. Two of my cousins from that family are in the military and are visiting this week so I went to visit and meet their new babies. The family is very conservative, anti-obama, and other stuff I won't get into here. We'll just say that our politics really conflict. However, they are also kind, run a farm, have a lot of kids, etc. We had a nice visit. We kept conversation to neutral and communal territory of parenting, homeschooling, food, and family we have in common. I got to hold little babies who slept and cooed on my lap. Left with a smile.

My daughter was putting bug spray on the kids today. My granddaughter's little boyfriend as she calls him, He is (age 4) says;
When you spray that on my arm and on the bugs, do they say BUG-A-CHEW? He was tottally serious but everyone in the room lost it...Ha!

The past few days, we've had nothing but pearly overcast skies and intermittent showers of very chilly rainfall and sitting near the west windows of my home, earlier, I wished that the clouds would somehow float on and let the warm sunshine of fall, come back.
