Wonderful day for a monday! I needed a day like this.

no alarm day

saw my hair dresser, always a good conversation and relaxing time

Did some shopping

Went for an evening swim that almost didn't happen. I saw lightning in the sky. It seemed quite a distance. So did some laps and watched the sky light up.

Now sitting in rocking chair on the front porch in my swimsuit, feeling the summer evening breeze and still keeping my eye in the sky.

good days in da states...

got back from a 5 day visit wit' me oldest sista. good food, good fun, good times.

am hea in mah youngest sista's home until da weekend. LOVE me some lulu.

a mini high school reunion this weekend. am so excited i could squee.

off to va/dc on da 28th fo a 5 day visit wit' mates i've known fo' 25 and 15 years, respectively. will be good food, good fun and lively conversation for sure.

and me niece jus' walked in to get cereal, and we talked fo' 10 minutes about school startin' on thursday.

Highlight: the trees are simply gorgeous as their leaves become vibrant shades of deep reds, oranges and golden yellows.

Highlight: the sky dressed in shades of pearly clouds, ranging from deep slates to mid-scales of gray to nearly cotton-tipped white fluff of magic, rolling across the heavens.

Highlight: making homemade oatmeal cookies with steel-cut oats, plump raisins, shredded sweet coconut and chocolate chips. The hint of cinnamon and Mexican vanilla permeating the air as the cookies bake in the oven.

Lowlight (yet, it's a highlight surely): working a12 hour shift tomorrow. The silver lining is overtime. Will come in handy for time off in November. : )

Highlight: I love the month of October.

High: it's Friday and I made through a chaotic mess of a day without offending coworkers too much. I am working tomorrow but it will but it will be a change of scenery.

Hearing about my son's first dance experience. :-)

I went to a production where the cast was mostly comprised of physically and intellectually disabled youth. It was great. I talked to the producer about my children joining.

Low: messy chaotic day. Anxiety attack. Neck and shoulder pain. I got snappy with coworkers. I got snappy a lot.

Low: my ear is still full of fluid. It goes from painful to annoying. I just want to jab a pin in there.

Highlight: Going for a walk/jog with Kermie...one of the cutest pups I know!
