My daughter performed at a nursing home with her dance company this afternoon. I was rushing to get there and wasn't really expecting it to be so emotional. Those girls performing for the people in the nursing home - it was such a big deal to them. One lady started crying - said she was reminiscing about when she was a dancer. The girl's stayed after and talked to the residents. What a good and special feeling to be able to do something for someone else.

Our cat has been running around the house like a bat out of hell all morning. Stalking invisible bugs, hissing at his own tail, running up and down the cat tree. He is usually lazy as can be. He can definitely use the exercise.

Finally getting my emerald (after they mounted in the incorrect setting and having to wait for them to fix it)
This was cut from a raw stone...having to wait to see how it turned out was like waiting for my first New Year's kiss!! I'm not much into material things...but this emerald is so fun because I'm the one that found the raw stone at the gem mine! An experience I hope to enjoy again one day.
