When it takes 15 minutes of fiddling (and reading glasses) to break into the simplest packaging.

When you drop something on the floor and do a mental review as to whether or not it is worth picking up or if it could just wait a while. Especially in the kitchen where it's pretty certain other things will join it and it could all be picked up in "one trip".
