I know here in Orlando, they keep the government offices open and usually someone will keep your spot for you. I am addicted to my iPhone, but I normally just go on this site and look for things on the web.

I'm wondering if they work straight through (someone relieves the Deputy for lunch) or if they shut down and we start this mess all over again. No wonder work said "when you are finished filing those, you can go home". I also wonder if I can put my water bottle down to save my space in line while I go to the ladies room? Well, I'm going to try to engage in real conversation with the cell phone addicts, see what the rules are for waiting in line.........geeze. I had
false delusions of me sitting under a tree reading a book this afternoon.

Hi Zimmy,

Well, I was the big evil villian when I said *excuse me* to the lady in front of me, when inquiring about the ladies room, she shruuged her shoulders. I thought heck, we are adults, if children can make that work, certainly we can. So I sat my giant Fiji down and went to the ladies room. When I came back, others started doing the same (line hasn't moved) so I kicked off the shoes too. I think hell, so what if my feet get dirty. It's not the holding cell for prisoners and my chances of contracting MRSA are sort of slim. At least its nice and cool in here and I'm not in line outside. Then the jacket and the panty hose would be off. Big evil grin.

Now that I am much more comfortable......oh la de, oh la da

They arent showing the pics on Trutv InSession either...i bet orlando is a zoo with all the media and ppl coming from all over to try to get in everyday..i heard on radio talk show outta west palm that this lady from NY planned her vacation around the beginning of the trial....and then i saw on the news or something the scene every morning when the courthouse opens for the trial...ppl running,pushing to get in bc there are less than 50 seats for the common folk.

I have to disagree about the reason she is crying--but only part way..i believe Baez said it would be good,but i also think part of it is the reality of seeing it all now...and im sure this isnt gonna sit well with you,but even tho i believe she had some role in the death of that poor child i dont think she was alone or even the primary,and i also think Baez is gonna pull off an OJ type thing...Altho unlike OJ,Casey WILL have to serve time just not get the death penalty. I wont bore the rest of the thread with this convo,but suffice to say i got a lot of opinions and i try to catch as much as i can everyday


P.S. altho i love Bob Evans if McDs sold biscuits and gravy in these parts i would rather go there...back home it was the bvest around!

I agree that she isn't the only who is guilty. Baez is trying to show that she isn't the only one that should be held accountable to what happened to that baby. The Medical Examiner is having fun with defense team. That is why I am not going near downtown Orlando. They are saying she might not get the death penalty, but serve time in jail for lying to the officers. Either way, justice needs to be giving to that poor little girl.

McDonalds sells biscuits and gravy? Cracker Barrel has some really good biscuits and gravy, which I can find here in Orlando.

It's been kind of a crazy time....and a big day today...Rooster's middle school graduation is this evening.

In Kentucky they did...was freaking awesom i tell ya.

And yeah that whole family has REALLY got some issues. And i hope the others that are involved get theirs as well..i think once Baez gets his chance he s gonna let some bombshells fall that are gonna blow everyone away.

I wouldnt take any amount of money to be down in that circus right now! i cant even imagine the insanity.

I just got back from WPB and a "culture" meeting...basically what i like/dislike about the company and my boss etc etc...cant wait for the results of all the information they got from all of us.

Good morning everyone

Coffee is on....and here's what I want for breakfast...



Just dropped the Rooster off for his last day of school....short day and no doubt all movies and games. The Prince opted to sleep in and skip it. He's gone the last 2 days (all short days) with ever-dwindling numbers of students....by yesterday there were only 1 or 2 showing up for all of his classes.

Yesterday was Rooster's graduation...cap and gown...it feels really odd to see him hit that milestone, have him be as tall as I am, take pictures of him posing with his girlfriend...when it feels like he was an infant and a toddler just a little while ago.

My mother gets out of the hospital today...evidently she's made great progress in her recovery so they're letting her go early. She'll stay with a friend for a couple days before going back to her own house since she lives in the middle of nowhere. When I spoke to her yesterday she admitted that she's "not going to be back where I was before"....the Crohn's has progressed enough that she's facing that fact (at last) and acknowledging that she might need to hire some help in her house and yard. It's progress.

Off to work for me...which means switching to the other computer ....hope you all have a great day.

Jo Jo, hope your mom is settling in after being released from the hospital. It is strange to see my oldest nephew and how he is taller than me. But I know, when he graduates from high school, I will definately be there. He is making me feel old, hehe. I cannot believe they are going home at the end of this month, and I have only seen them once. I am off on Friday and I will be making the trip to see them!

Once again I've tried and failed to sleep in late...oh well...Sunday morning and I'm awake at 8 a.m. Made coffee and tea, unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher...and trying to decide if I want to be lazy or productive today. Hmmmm....so far, lazy is winning...even though the back yard is screaming for my attention.

One more cup of coffee and then I'll decide...

I've been having a lot of trouble sleeping again, so I'm dragging around so far today....and so, so thankful that I work from home. I can be logged in and working....and still be unshowered and in my pj's....and they have no clue how tired and bedraggled I really am.

I just keep telling myself....next week at this time, I'll be waking up in the Bahamas...no phone, no work, no computer....just us, the pool and whatever restaurant we wander into.

Have fun in the Bahamas Jo Jo! Next Thursday, I will be at an Alumni event for DeVry and I am supposed to wear something nice...Thank goodness for black slacks and nice heels. I love the days when you can wander around your house and be in pj's all day...

I worked until 1:30am lastnight and came home to crash! I had the other two ladies in my department laughing at me all night, so hard, that one of them almost had issues. I tried talking to a guest and he said that must have been one funny joke. The night before, I had a guest laughing at me. I think the 's and hit me lastnight and I need a day off...I had Clay laughing hard to...Gotta love when a joke turns into a image.

Good morning everyone

Sounds like the job is going well Zimmy....I'm so glad to hear that!

Coffee is on....and here's breakfast...



We're in serious "countdown" mode here.....today, tomorrow, the weekend...then we're off on a week of vacation. We already decided that (because international rates and the internet at the resort is insanely expensive) we're leaving cell phones and computers behind....and just going to enjoy each other and our time there without the electronics.

Scoote is still getting jerked around by the insurance company's doctors....makes me furious. We aren't rocking the boat until after the trip, but then I'm hoping that she'll consult an attorney, and a neurosurgeon....even if we have to pay for it out of pocket. We really need to know what's going on with her back and what can be done to get her feeling better.

I'm also in a much better situation at work soon....my difficult boss has resigned and her last day in the office is tomorrow. By the time I'm back from vacation, she'll be a memory....and my new boss is a "hands off" kind of guy. Some people don't like that in a manager, but I infinitely prefer it. I already drive myself on deadlines and assign myself work (did it again yesterday!)....so I'm good with someone who takes a more distant and less controlling approach. I'm also letting it be known that I want to be considered for her job if they decide to fill it.....we'll see.

Speaking of work....I'm back to it! Have a great day everyone!
