Breaking News FT. HOOD TX:: active shootings on post at Ft. Hood TX. Gunman is on the loose and on the run. MY local news says 14 injured, 4 critical, 1 deceased. Nearest local trauma center to Ft. Hood is in Killeen, Tx, just minutes away from Ft. HOOD. called Scott and White Hospital.

Please turn on your local news stations to keep posted. I have also posted this in the breaking news events thread. I will keep posting any updates that I get from my local news.

THE SHOOTER IS STILL ACTIVE so please pray for our BFP family members at FT. HOOD and for the victims and their families as well as the shooters families.

ONE FT. HOOD SHOOTER CONFIRMED DEAD BY U.S. OFFICIALS. ON CNN NEWS. THEY WILL NOT CONFIRM YET IF THERE ARE MORE THAN 1 SHOOTERS AT THIS TIME.

FT. HOOD STILL ON LOCKDOWN WHILE SEARCH CONTINUES.

TOTAL OF 18 VICTIMS , 4 CONFIRMED DEAD INCLUDING 1 SHOOTER NOW.....ACCORDING TO CNN NEWS.

IT IS BELIEVED TO BE A FT. HOOD SOLDIER THAT DID THE SHOOTING.......A SOLDIER ON SOLDIER ATTACK AND NOT RELATED TO TERRORISM SO THEY ARE NOW SAYING....YET TO BE CONFIRMED.

We are seeing on the news only 8 wounded, 4 critical. Shooter killed himself. It is believed that there is no second shooter. Fort Hood is no longer on lockdown.

I'm not sure what you are seeing Trutexan, but it seems to me that there is no longer reason to be alarmed.

CNN is now saying multiple reported injured, multiple fatalities, 3 reportedly sent to Scott and White Memorial hospital and The shooter is dead.

waiting on official report news conference from Ft. Hood.

According to CNN news 4 shooting victims sent to Scott and White Hospital in TEMPLE TX not killeen, and 2 more in route of which one by land and 1 by air to hospital. The hospital spokesman said the injured vary from stable to severe critical.

Still waiting on Ft. Hood Spokesman to speak on news to give more information.

It would be really good if those in our community who are stationed at Fort Hood would post and let us know they are okay.

16 confirmed injured, 4 confirmed fatalities including the shooter according to Ft. Hood General during press conference. It is an ongoing investigation to find out anymore information as to why it happened and how.
It is confirmed that the shooter used a .45 caliber smith and wesson handgun that was purchased in the local area of Ft. Hood. They are investigating the shooter's psychiatric background,background history, searching twitter, facebook, etc, his home, computers, etc, and anything else they can search about him and why this happened. It is confirmed that the shooter shot himself in the head and died. The soldier was married and his family was in the local area, they are awaiting to notify his family members. He was undergoing evaluation for behavioral health and mental health, he was on medication for depression, he was not wounded in war.
