who I have been bragging about to no end about how well she's trained...she's been pooping on the blanket on my sofa - two days in a row - I punish her by locking her in her crate all day, but that doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions anyone? Pinky is just under 5 months old - Bichon Friese breed. She's my heart, and a love most of the time, but lately, she's been 'acting up' - what's up with that? Seems she's regressing...please help with suggestions/advise, I'm about to kill her!!! (just kidding)

Did she start acting out about the time you started becoming seriously involved with your guy? Animals are highly sensitive and she may be feeling left out or scared.

Dogs need excersize, lots of it, locking her in a crate all day will not solve your problem. She needs you to WALK her.

She may be afraid to get off of the couch... They are a smallish dog and that distance my seem like a canyon... Don't leave her in her crate, take her out shortly after she eats and whenever she wakes up...

Is there really a "right" and "wrong" way to go around a circle (well to be more exact a semi circle)? I was at an office building today and there was a circle of sorts where you drop off patients or pick them up. It was a wide area, wide enough for two cars going in opposite directions. At both sides of this circle there were two lanes going both ways. In other words, there were no "one way" connections to this circle.

I entered from the left side because that is the connective road i was on to pick up my mom. This "dude" runs out yelling at me and I could hear him through my rolled up window and over Fleetwood Mac, that I was "GOING THE WRONG WAY ON A ONE WAY CIRCLE".

I rolled my window down and told him that if the "freaking circle was one way they better get a freaking sign cause mind reading would cost them 40 bucks everytime I was expected to do that".

He was not pleased. I was not pleased.

Uggggggg, yeah more to the point i was PISSED OFF.

no easy way to say this but if a dog poops in the house it's not the dogs fault.

Punishing her in the crate has probably ruined her from every wanting to be in the crate in a positive way. The crate should be a good comfy cozy*den* not a punishment device.

5 months old = no more than 5 hours to hold her bladder.. at the MOST..

She should be out to walk after meals to poop... walking makes them poop! Bring treats.. the minute she poops give her a treat RIGHT then and there.. don't wait to come inside..if she does poop in the house take the poop outside to the same pooping spot you want her to use, it should be the same place.

You should praise the good and ignore the bad... then you get more good and less bad... and a very loyal dog.

I agree with what everyone else has said.

When my dog was a puppy and during the training, anytime he went into his cage / crate, I stopped in my tracks. I wanted him to know that was his safe place. I wanted him to feel comfortable. and now, he goes in that crate anytime he wants. He'll go in there just to lay in his bed.

puppies ( just like everyone else said ) need to be walked, exercise. and if it's a small breed , need to be taken out every 2 hours. after the puppy eats, take the puppy out at least 2 hours after the puppy eats.

if the puppy is playing, and playing big time then all of a sudden stops playing, take the puppy out right then and there. that is a sign that the puppy needs to go potty.

I think you're in a cold climate...which the puppy may not like going outside because of the cold, but teach the puppy that it needs to go outside to go potty. and just like Sassy said, as soon as the puppy goes, talk in a voice that praises the puppy and then give the puppy a treat.

sometimes people dont realize its hard for the toy breeds to get off couches. Especially when they had a full poo in them. You try jumping off a tall stack with a full poo! She just might be dropping it on the blankie because of that.

and I agree, babies shouldnt be punished by putting them in crates all day. No punishment should last all day. Your puppy needs to bond with its momma..to feel safe, secure, to learn it is in a loving, trusting environment. Its little mind cant wrap around a 24 hour punishment except to make it into a fearful world. Punishments should be kept to a short amount of time, and only be done when you catch them at it. If you didnt catch her as she pooped on the blankie, any punishment you give her meant nothing to her except to create a feeling of fear about you. She didnt know it related to the poo at all !!!

In defense of Colorado... We have had some really ugly weather... Freezing temps and lots of snow... So for what it is worth sometimes things take a little bit longer to be received in the mail, most companies go by business days, so if you don't count the weekend your order is probably right on time... I hope your order arrives soon..
We may not be the North Pole but we are close... Have a great night...

If I may, these are really good for certain dogs and can be confusing to others. I prefer my own dogs to learn not to go in the house at all, and that outside in their *spot* is where they need to be. Not saying it's not what's needed for certain situations, but dogs want to be dogs, which means going outside to relieve themselves. It can be confusing to a dog to understand it's ok to go inside here, but not here... It's just as easy to train them to go out as it is to pee on a pad, and it's what their instinct wants them to do. It also trains them to hold their bladder if they have to wait. Personally I feel if you must leave a dog more than 4-5 hours you should have a dog walker walk them or figure out a schedule that allows you to take care of the dog, then there is doggie daycare (cringe).

Someone was forced to be homeless. This person lived paycheck to paycheck. Lost job, no family to help out. Friends come and go. Now in line at the food bank, and looking for a shelter. It pisses me off that there are so many social services being cut by the gov't. It could be any one of us.

I donate all I can. I encourage everyone to do the same. Donate food, bottles of water, feminine napkins, tampons, soap, toothpaste, tooth bruches, combs, brushes, shampoo, and so on. And donate the good stuff. Not the cheap $1 store items. They come in bulk in the food banks. We aren't picky but when I was homeless, it sure was nice to come across a good box of cereal.

How right you are on this, usely either me or my son is home so the furkids going out isnt a problem, but sometimes its nessary for me to leave the pads out incase they ned to go potty. Now they are 2 & 3 years old they go out before I go to work and hold it till I get home..I leave a couple of pads just incase...most times they just wait till I get home.

I smoke pipes and cigars. It pisses me off that everyone is so anti-smoking now. Before there were places where smokers could smoke. Now those places are being taken away. I am wondering about the money involved with the taxes states get from the smokers. And I also wonder about where our rights went.

Andrew I agree about the anto smokeing thing going on.one of the reasons I quit was because I couldnt find a comfy place to take a break at work with out haveing to go outside and deal with the weather, bugs ect.If I hadnt smoked then I could take a break in the airconditiond break room that had all sorts of vending machines. Now hear ypu can smoke in a resturaunt or some bars, parks or public places my taxes pay for yearly but I cant stop payin the taxes caue I quit the ciggys was my asthma wich was geting a lot flakyer than normal plus the cost went thrue the roof in so many places.Infact I have saved a bunch od $$ since I quit.I tryed the pipe and then ciggars but just didnt fit me well.

I guess I will simply say that I have asthma as a result of what I feel was growing up in a environment filled with second hand smoke. That pisses me off, even though it was unintentional. I've almost lost my life a few times and struggle daily. I don't see where it's someones *right* to inflict my lungs with anything.

I will also say that it breaks my heart to see people throw away a healthy set of lungs when I fight everyday to keep my working.

I have to find DJ's etc to promote the group, I found one DJ with 3000 plus pages of friends. I stopped on page 667 yesterday. I shut the computer down for the night. In order to continue today I have to CLICK ON EACH PAGE INDIVIDUALLY AGAIN. Starting back at page one and making my way to 667. WELL, I was on page 567 and my mouse slipped, I clicked on something by mistake and you guessed it I'm back on page one !$!@$%@%#%!@

Wrangling with the VA to get them to turn loose of my medications. :|

When they put your name up on the board in the waiting room, it means that one's prescriptions are filled and ready to be picked up. So, when my name came up, I went back to the pharmacy window (where the pharmacy clerk sits behind a bulletproof wall of plexiglass and medicines are dispensed via a little steel one way door) to pick my medicine up. I was told "Oh, we're sorry, Mr. Theo, your medicines are, in fact, NOT ready. It's going to be another 20 -30 minutes. Go sit down." :annoyed:

I went back and sat down, and I waited for the next 30 minutes. Then I got up and went back there again. I said, "Okay, it's been 30 minutes, so where's my medicines??". The clerk forked them over to me. :twitch:

I wouldn't normally be so annoyed, but this happens to me EVERY time I go up to that main pharmacy to pick up my prescriptions.

This sort of thing is my little reminder to keep my usual practice of ordering my refills online and getting my meds mailed to me every month. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go and take my blood pressure pill. :|

I complained then, but know in my heart that other people have it much worse and our Nation as a whole is in a Crisis that will not be easy to overcome. It pisses me off that much of our Crisis is "self-inflicted" by those we vote into office.

You will hardly ever hear me talk politics.... Being a Legislative Analyst and working for Health Care and Human Services and the Department of Public Welfare; I get burned out on politics and red-tape, as well as "red-folders" containing House and Senate Bills (I NEVER got paid near as much as the Legislators/Law Makers that would draft/write those awful Bills....but I sure did CLEAN UP AFTER them many times)..... But my inner self remains very passionate about many political things; sometimes I just don't have the right words to express those passions. .......I guess that's one reason being a Legislative Analyst pissed me off.... I'd get pissed when *I* as an Agency Employee had to draft an Analysis as "Support" or "This Agency Does Not Support" or "This Agency Remains Neutral" or "Support With Amendments Only" on a Bill that clearly went against my better judgment.

Hypocrites really piss me off. On one hand, they are being so politically correct leftest by saying they support labor during the WI public employee mess the past few weeks- then make jokes about government employees intelligence, etc. today. Bunch of bullshit.

I can't believe how lazy some people can be. At work today someone opened a new ream of paper and instead of walking just 5 feet to the paper can, they just tossed the wrapper on the floor.

It pisses me off when they think "let someone else pick it up". :annoyed:

So what pissed YOU off today????

This is too much!

I'm a bit pissed that I might have to purchase an entire new spa heater when it looks the problem is just a sensor!!! But, I am searching for a supplier that will sell me the one part.

I might still have to go with the whole unit, but there is quite a price difference (as well as installation time and difficulty) between the two. It is such a modular world!!!

One of my jobs is to sell crystal items at the local mall. (glass crystal, not the meth crystal)

So there I am... selling my crystal rings... and she walks in.

I think she is a customer, but in fact, she is not.

-- She is the one who makes me take out 7 rings, find them all in her size, and then inform me that she OWNS them all already ask how I like them on her hand.

Really?

You spend 45 min. of your life just to show me the rings you already own only to ask my opinion?

Really?

Talk about someone who needs a hobby...

So she leaves and my co-workers swamp me telling me that she does this ALLLLLL the time. (that was why they all scattered like rats when she walked into our shop)

Good Grief. 45 min. of trying on items you supposidly already own-- asking for different sizes -- making me work my tail off just to ask if I like them on your hand? I am in sales with commission. OF COURSE I AM GOING TO LIKE IT ON YOU IT IS MY JOB! Duh---

How sad is that?

There is my "pissed off" moment for the day.

Supposed Free clinic [false fuckin advertising], claiming they will help my ailing mother feel better, find out why she's in so much Pain, sick, headaches, high blood pressure, chest pains, fatigue, consistent coughing, sudden gagging when startled awake....
Maybe put her mind to ease that she's not dying [she's 54]
I feel fuckin' helpless when she cries about the pain, thankfully we both take 1 medication that is identical in dosage..
My hands are tied..
The Doc that called had the GALL to say despite it being Free care clinic, the Tests required to exam and diagnose will cost her...
The purpose of us even passing by {it took me MONTHS to convince her, she had doubts} was a last attempt for any Answers, and possibly Help...
Now she refuses to do any test , or visit the doctor, because she is very much afraid, with good reason, that our local {shitty} hospital will Sue her, force a collection from previous emergency room visits {pointless visits, and she's proven it to me, once they find out she has no medical, they pussyfoot, give her something mild and let her go after 4 hours.}, and yes, she's scared because the amount owed in crappy medical attention might send her to Jail....
I really reallllllly wanted to stop by and tear the fuckin' bitch a new asshole...
I'm well aware they'll tell me the same shit I tell her, w/o the tests there's not much they can do....
Not knowing what's wrong is worse, but, she says she has enough problems...
I've tried countless times to reassure her, and maybe find a 2nd or 3rd opinion...
My own PCP will occasionally give her advice when it's my check-up appt., but he can't give a thorough consult..
I've offered to pay for a consult, she refuses...
Stubborn, I'm very aware now where I got it from....
So, yeah....
I'm furious....
And upset...

i'm so sorry to hear of how your mother is being treated! healthcare really sucks in this country if you are poor! i don't have any suggestions-i ran out of those after moving several times to different states-just empathy. been there, done that, both as a patient and as a friend and relative! for my own 2 cents, i'm in a place where i could claim extra SSD which would about double my income but can't afford to do so b/c it would knock me off SSI and medicaid, which i desperately need to pay for my healthcare! any extra money i received would be eaten up paying for drugs, co-pays, and transportation!

we are now fighting wars, declared or not, on three fronts, when the country is officially economically broke! schools are being shut down; teachers are being fired; the infrastructure is falling apart....
also, we are supposedly "aiding the freedom-seeking people of Libya and protecting civilians." what about those in countries like the Sudan, Yemen, Egypt, etc? Where the country either holds no strategic value for us or the ruler is a ally of the US? Also what about the protests that were violent and quickly suppressed in Saudi Arabia, the country that funds more extremist madrassas that encourage jihad against any non-believer of it's own Wahabbist (sorry to use that word but don't know another) Islamic sect than any other Islamic country in the world?
the US uses rhetoric to justify it's actions but behaves like any other super-power-in it's own interests! yes, we also do great humanitarian work, but much of it is spent in building back countries which WE destroyed!
i don't normally sound off about politics, but i'm so tired of the hypocritical face we show, both to ourselves and to the world. i apologize to any veterans or soldiers-i don't criticize you for following orders you are given. it's the political system which sometimes (if i think about it too much) that makes me sick.
i know i'm going to get flak for this post but so be it. every once in ten yrs or so, i have to vent!

Okay, I'm sitting here minding my own blessed business when my step daughter comes in at 9:45pm, after NOT coming home from school because her boyfriend picked her up from school earlier today. Because of this, she missed going out to dinner with everyone else. I didn't mind, she gets on my nerves anyways. I have a roommate right now who buys food with her own money but the kid just dives in and eats whatever she wants, without asking! I've told her more than once that my roommate buys things; I've gone so far as to put R's name on packages. I know this may sound selfish but R is on a fixed income and doesn't have the extra to try and feed us too. The deal is she can contribute if she wants but what she buys for herself, it's hers.

Anywho, the step daughter got in there and started finishing off a box of cereal that R had bought and when I merely asked which box of cereal she was pouring, she spouted off, "I don't appreciate your negative comment." That made my blood boil!!! My only recourse was to return her words right back to her, "and I don't appreciate your negative comment to me." Of course I kept saying it until she gave up and went to her room; yea! Point for me.

An old fart passive-aggressive neighbor of mine.

It has been a very cold, damp winter here- even up until this past week and my poly-osteoarthritis and RA have been kicking my butt. I haven't been able to get to yard trimming like I usually keep up with it. Actually, this can get to me as my yard and gardens are my meditation and art.

He made some comment about being worried about me because he hasn't seen me out in the yard working (meaning- the pampus next to his house is overgrown). We have had freakin' monsoons here- homes around my area are sliding down hills! today is the first day without any rain in nearly a month.

He knows I have severe arthritis. I wantd to get my garden nippers and take off his nose. The way long nose!

Whew.. feel better now...

Trying to get back to sleep after a very restless night....

"Willy! Hush! It's not time to get up yet!"
a few minutes later, just after I relax, HE BARKS HIS HEAD OFF!!
I drag my tired ass outa bed, reach for his doggy door latch, then hear a rooster crow several times, off in the distance.... WILLY BARKS HIS HEAD OFF!!

He was barking at that damn rooster BEFORE THE SUN WAS UP!!
Every time the rooster went off, Willy went off!

Pfffft...
One of the girls walks in {because I AM a woman, until proven otherwise, Sensei told me to use Womens area}, her eyes went Wide..I quietly begged her to stay quiet {hands in prayer mode}, she saw the big bruises on my legs...
Never mind the fact they're starting to fade..

Y'know what a BITCH it is, to remove that stuff, right after youre done putting it on ?!?!?1
Anyways, I showed him, he rubbed his face and said "Until that's gone, you're not to practice, don't even touch a Shinai without a Doctors permission in my Dojo."
I wanted to explain, but, the look on his face was enough for me, I bowed, got into regular clothes, walked out and ignored the girls babbling, I sat on the bench and waited....

Brenda - " Eli, I'm very very sorry, I had to.."

Me - "I asked you to stay quiet, it's not serious.."

Brenda - " I had to"

Me- "U ain't my momma, u sure as Fuck ain't my Daddy..you didn't have to do shit."

today while walking out, I heard the "aww, look a yorkie" followed by same dude saying " geez, he's fat just like his owner" same dude goes on to say "it's true that dogs do look like their owners"

i was like WTF? I turned around, same dude was with his wife and she was smiling. by then I was pissed off, couldnt believe this asshole said this.

so, I looked at him and said, "if that is the case, then your dog is a real fuckin asshole" and then i smiled at the fucker.

Elderly woman starts unloading her cart...A very loaded cart, I looked at the aisle's sign..Yup "20 or less"..Funny, when I have 30 items, I get glared at by cashier who happily reminds me..
Meanwhile, the old lady has at Least 40, and boxes of beverages...
And for added bonus + shits and giggles, when she is supposed to pay, she fishes through Ginormous purse, pulling out a checkbook...
I saw people getting their stuff, skipping to the next cashier..
She was writing s-l-o-o-o-o-o-w, I got fed up and went to the next aisle...
I know Elderly people need one to be patient, but then I also know a few Elderly people are quite capable of using their age to get away with bullshit like this...

the other..well I go to the dr's office and get infrount of the wiundo with no one at the desk cause sooner or later soneone will open it and ask me what I need to do..often I get in lots sooner than if I had gone to the other one. That day both ad sat in places that are for others and ignored the aid who was trying to get it all worked out over the four oldies who were involved in all this...some days.

The general public scares me. You never know who is ready to go off and when. I have a wonderful co-worker who got shot at home in a drive-by and is now in a wheel chair. His personality is different now. In fact, everything about him is different. That makes me quite angry that people think it's ok to just shot people for no reason at all.

Good Morning Gemme,

After this happened to me, the owner's of the hotel told me to let people in after the bar closed at 2am. I explained to them, that my life was more important and I would not work in a place that thought about their profits over their employees. I never opened that door after the bar closed and used the night window to check people in. I left three months later and when I go power walking around 7pm, I have my cell phone with me, since we have quite a few of not so nice people who live in the apartment complex next to me.

Have a good day,

Zimmy

[QUOTE=ZimmygLrL;322173]I was sitting at a red light today on my way to a Starbucks to meet Violane, and this guy comes up behind me and starts honking the horn. When I stopped at the light it was red and less than two minutes later it turned green. I guess the guy wanted me to hit the gas and find out if my Saturn can do 0-60 in under 30 seconds. Needless say, the guy in the SUV backed off of my rear end and understood that I have no issues with calling him a douchebag and a few other choice names...:praying:

new england is really bad with the honking- before the changing colour. i don't mind. let them.

this really bothered me the other day [leaving the birds/dogs]: watching an SUV get way too close to a motorcycle; i asked the woman on the bike, stopped at the red light, if she knew them, and she turned around, yelled, "no! and they're on my ass!" i took out a pen and paper, showed the driver of SUV, and he backed off. i'm less amused when i see it happen to other drivers/bikers.

I learned from living in Daytona, that you don't tailgate a biker. If they have to drop that bike, they don't have time to see if someone is right there...

My primary client's daughter cancelled overnights yesterday.

She's going private caretaker

It all comes down to money...

She's afraid he's going to run out of it in a couple years and then his children will have to help support him..

The woman who is replacing me showed up glassy eyed and nodding out..
Oxcotten is my guess..

I spent 40 mins going over the care and handling of a 92 yr old Parkensen Patient with a UTI and dementia.

She fell asleep standing up twice...

She thought she was just going to show up and then go to bed. She was a little suprised to hear that it was a little more invoved than that and she wasn't going to get a good 8 hours of sleep...

I'm a little scared for him... She had no idea that he fell, that his feet/legs don't work the way he wants them too and that she might have to pick him up off the floor.

I left her my phone number and told her to call if she couldn't get him back up..... I think I should have told her to call the daughter...

I am so upset. People are driving so much faster these days, and are hitting more animals. I pray for the animals who lay along the roadside dead. I just cannot imagine hitting and killing an animal w/out stopping and burying it. Now I am not able to dig a hole to bury animals should I hit one, but I sure do call the State to have someone pick it up. Rosie and I saw a dead horse, of all things, laying out along the roadside. It took the State 3 weeks to get to that poor creature.

Not today, but yesterday I was extremely pissed with a salon I went to. Actually, two of them.

The first, I went in and asked if they did underarm waxing. They said yes. I asked how long and they said 5 minutes. They called me over and I started to go down the hall and they said "No" and gestured to a chair across from the pedicure chairs. With raised eyebrows, I asked if they expected me to take my shirt off right there, in public, and they said "Oh, no!".

Apparently, my very direct "Do you do underarm waxes?" was not clear enough. I did get them to give me a referral for another salon that was close by.

So, I went there and they said it would be a couple of minutes. The back room was extremely tiny and there was a clear window in it from the main room that they had placed a small sign in, to keep it "private". The girl was not prepared for this and had to move equipment into the room and then, when she started to actually do the waxing, it was evident that she was not very experienced. She tweezed as much as she waxed off.

When done, I went out to the front area to pay and she had the nerve to tell me it was $25. Twenty-flippin-five dollars for a stupid underarm wax! I used to pay that for my legs!!! Grrrr...

Though I wish I'd asked before I had it done, it was a necessity. I'm considering this a learning experience. I'm just going to have to go farther than I would prefer to get a decent, respective waxing.

Today has been a spider/insect day.

This morning when i left for work there was a spider or mosquito or something that was icky with legs and stuff on my drivers side window. I couldn't really tell if it was in or out of the car so i just grabbed something and hit it. It was sooooooo inside the car and it's guts went all over the window. I was doing that blaq blaq noise trying not to hurl, searching for something that i could wipe if off with. Found my baby wipes and took care of it. However the biscuit i had just bought for breakfast..did not get eaten.

Thennnnnn this afternoon i decided to get one of those movies in those look alike "atm" machines for a buck. I finally figured it out and went to put my debit card in and low and behold there is this hairy spider crawling all around where you put the card in. It had three white dots on it's back and two green ones on its head. Not sure what kind that was but i figured it wasn't good. I stepped back and then saw it's brother. Needless to say i left without my movies.

I don't like bugs. I don't like spiders. They scare me so hard. I hope i've seen the last of them for awhile. Today i paid my dues. Gross!!!!!!!! :(

The extreme degree of male privilege at work. It makes me SICK.

I have only had two employers (talking full time work as an adult). The first one I was at for 12 years and it really was about one's quality of work, there. This job, after 5 years, I STILL get blown away by the privilege. Why, I don't know...'cause it is nonprofit mental health maybe? I expect more I suppose. What the hell? It sucks.

I can't wait for the current chairman to retire. I believe that will help some. The misogyny is palatable at this place.

My workplace literally looks like a cyclone came thru. As soon as I walked in the gate, there were toys, books and coffee mugs sitting out in the rain. Every light in the place was on and the tv blaring, yet everyone in bed. Clothes, toys, dirty dishes and glasses, shoes, trash, and used kleenex scattered all over the house. I can understand that the lady can not do much herself since she is in a leg cast, but she has 5 children (2 of whom are teenagers) who could certainly pick up after themselves a little better. Hell, I have to move things around just to use the restroom because the bathroom floor is littered with wet towels, diapers and trash. *shudder* It does not need to be like this, especially since her family is no longer the only family in-house. I felt bad for the other young family who had to come in to this mess tonight. (And I sure as hell ain't gonna clean it up.)

I call this "Attack of the Giant Assumptions"

I was in a class, and the teacher opened with one of those darn icebreaker activities. This one was a kind of "Bingo", with questions in squares. The questions were mostly things like "Someone who has three or more kids", or "Someone who has run a marathon". You had to circulate around and find those people, and they signed the correct box (did that make sense?).

First, there is one African-American woman in the class. As soon as the teacher said "Go", everyone else was swarming around her. The reason? One of the questions was "Someone who knows what Juneteenth is". I couldn't believe one student actually said, "I'm sure you'd know what that is!"

Another question was "Someone who knows what a Seder is". People were searching all over for someone to sign that one, and I'm just sitting there, sort of amused. Finally, I spoke up, and I cannot be sure, but I think someone really said "You don't look Jewish". If I'd really heard that clearly, I might have snapped back, "Yeah, neither did Sammy Davis Jr. and Marilyn Monroe." What do Jews look like, anyway?

What if the Black woman hadn't been born in America, or otherwise didn't know what Juneteenth is? Assumptions, anyone?

Have to trim my trees because my neighbor keeps coming into my yard when I am not home to whack off branches on ny tree (big beautiful 50 year old tree). He says he is not cutting my tree but my other neighbor sees him in my yard with his ladder.

Sometimes I wonder about my doctors....
And family....
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate their concern...
However, I'd like to believe I know my own fucking limits...
If I've done great in the past 3 weeks within my Derby team, that should say something about my physical capacity....
Right?....
I did 2 bouts, 4 scrimmage....Countless bruises, yes, but all of 'em within reason, and I had fun...
Tuesday, madam kracka le whipski (another fun part of Derby, u can pick a fucked up/ funny or sexual pun "Name") called me over, told me as much as she's going to hate doing it, she had to have me Sit the rest out until I received Medical approval, she told me she got my medical history monday...
I understand, safety, insurance, bla bla...I was beginning to wonder why they never asked for a medical....
Next time, I won't fuckin jinx myself......
Hoping on the itty bitty 1% chance my doc would understand the benefits over the bad parts...
I made an appt.
Good Doc, I never questioned...longest Doctor I ever had..{I'm a picky bastard}
He walks thru the door, eyes wide, and deeeeeeeeep inside I thought 'ahh, fuck'....
He asked if I was crazy, if I lost my mind, if I understood the risks involved..
I said yes, explained why I liked the Sport, and how I'd benefit...
He nodded, and said with a smile "No...Absolutely Not, I'm sorry, I know how fun it can be, and I understand your need for some new hobby, my first priority as your Doctor is your well-being, and I can't say yes...not to this, no....I'm stunned u even entertained the thought I'd say yes..."
To which I shrugged with "I knew you'd say no, but then, it doesn't hurt to ask..and hope"....I pondered the sad kiddie eyes, but I waved it off quick, we both knew each other well enough that he'd be immune..
He did ask "Why don't u just....roller skate? Same benefits"
I had to glare at that, and told him it's not the same...
He agreed, but then he also figured it was better than Risking a broken arm, rib cage, dangerous Kidney damage, all because I wanted to " ram into some girls and knock 'em out while skating incredibly fast"
I told him the same I told my family....I'm not made of bone china, I've done, and endured far worse than Derby could...
Shit, I've seen & done stuff that would make him blush....
He smiled with "I'm sure u have, but my answer's No....U could ask your nephrologist"
Grumbling, I said "No, that's alright...We both know he'd kill me verbally...Besides, I respect your opinion...so, that's that..."
I might push the issue of being a "Zebra" ......Might....
Which would be nice...
The Grrls still want me on the Team, just...because of this little bit of hockey-puck sized bullshit...it'd be as NSO(non-skating Official)

But really, it's HIS fault I'm working my ass off. And it's his fault I can't go. He is the one who refused to fill positions open in my understaffed department.

I forgot to undo the passenger seat air bag detonator wire when I was removing the passenger seat from my truck after work today. Thinking the seat was free and clear, I hoisted it up rather quickly to pull it out. The wire practically snatched it out of my hands and almost back into my truck. The seat adjuster bar kicked the heck out of my lower right shin. No, I DID NOT cry but cussed under my breath. If there had not been little kids playing in the yard next door, the vulgarities would have been much worse and a great deal louder.

First off, what the heck is a goat head???

My pissed off moment today: a very dear friend since high school posting anti-gay sentiments on facebook. Then not bothering to comment on my rebuttal to his biblical logic. I did find it semi-funny that despite the fact that I quoted my own "abomination" verses in response to his, some other guy tried to argue for the bible side by basically saying that once you are "born again" you can pretty much have a sin free-for-all and it doesn't count. I told him that by his own logic, if being gay is a sin then all that gay folks needed to do is to be born again, hence making gay no longer a sin (or yet, a non-countable sin). Needless to say, he had no further comment either. Idiots. I guess it just pisses me off when folks quote the bible without having any understanding whatsoever of what the bible actually says. But, seeing as how I live three miles from one of the southern Baptist headquarter offices, it's an almost daily occurrence around here. I'm not even religious yet those are the only debates I ever get to see around my hometown. *shrug*

First off, what the heck is a goat head???

Goat heads are a terrible weed with a thorny pod, they poke you and are hard to get rid of!

Sorry about your FB stuff, I have friends from school on mine and I am amazed how they sound, often very ignorant and angry...ugh

And it's nice to finally know what those are...lol I tried google before I really knew what it was, but needless to say, a lot of very satanic looking images popped up. :seeingstars: lol

In the realty of things I know pool games isnt high on the list,BUT if u r an avid pool player its more that a casual thing.Tonight we played in the finals of this session, the whole team sat around after a gamne three weeks ago and maped out how and when we were going to play this round, most have tables at home some(like myself) go to a pool hall dureing happy hour to play on the free tables or find somewhere to play.I have busted my ass to tighten up my game so at practis I was dead on on all shots,I got to the pool hall and did some really good before game warm up.I was ready to play.My team members came in draging like they have been on a ten day drunk or didnt have there minds on pool at all.We lost our ass cause of players not being up to par. This was our ladies team,we have played together for two years and this is the third time this has happened.Im not takeing anything away from the other team cause they deserved to win, they played well.We also play 9 ball on friday nights...I dont want to hear any crap about excuses and wineing tomorrow night from the ones who had there heads up who knows what tonight.Im not mad about loseing, just pissed off at the folks who didnt make an effort when on any other nght its like APA finals somewhere. No,I didnt play as the team has 8 members and only 5 can play so some had to sit out. Thanks for have a place to vent,I needed it tonight.
