NOW, would You like the Oscar Meyer Weiner song? :devil:

Dean Thoreau
11-19-2009, 02:28 PM
Oh!!!!!! Please not the weiner song............... perhaps a little ABC poem instead:

New Alphabet
A is for apple, and B is for boat,
That used to be right, but now it won't float!
Age before beauty is what we once said,
But let's be a bit more realistic instead.

Now
The Alphabet:

A's for arthritis;
B's the bad back,
C's the chest pains,
perhaps car-d-iac?

D is for dental decay and decline,
E is for eyesight, can't read that top line!
F is for fissures and fluid retention,
G is for gas which I'd rather not mention.

H . high blood pressure--I'd rather it low;
I . for incisions with scars you can show.
J is for joints, out of socket, won't mend,
K is for knees that crack when they bend.
L for libido, what happened to sex?
M is for memory, I forget what comes next.
N is neuralgia, in nerves way down low;
O is for osteo, bones that don't grow!

P for prescriptions, I have quite a few,
just give me a pill and I'll be good as new!
Q is for queasy, is it fatal or flu?
R is for reflux, one meal turns to two.

S is for sleepless nights, counting my fears,
T is for Tinnitus; bells in my ears!
U is for urinary; troubles with flow;
V for vertigo, that's 'dizzy,' you know.

W for worry, N OW what's going 'round?
X is for X ray, and what might be found.
Y for another year I'm left here behind,
Z is for zest I still have-- in my mind.

I've survived all the symptoms, my body's deployed,
and I'm keeping twenty-six doctors fully employed!!!

Usually I'm really quiet... maybe I need to get out more often.

Your sentence needs to begin with an R. Each sentence begins with the next letter in the alphabet and when we get to Z, we start over at A. That's why it's called the ABC Game. :)

Give it a shot! :)

A

As we approach the holidays: Chanukah, Winter solstice, Christmas, Kwanzaa, New Years it is always a good thing to remember: not everyone will have candles to light, warmth on the longest night of the year, presents under the tree, materials to make a gift, and on new years their meal of simpleness is out of necessity not choice.

Gemme
12-01-2009, 11:00 PM
Of course you did. We all do and some of us are right in our thinking....depending on WHAT we are thinking. Being wealthy wouldn't make me happier by itself but having the money to pay for dance classes and to go to school without having to work two or three jobs and killing myself would help me to love myself. It's all in how you look at it.

weatherboi
12-01-2009, 11:12 PM
Positively correct you are Gemme. It is all in the outlook. I understand/understood the place you were coming from. Working 2 and 3 jobs has been/is something I am familiar with.

Quite the pain in the tookus, isn't it? I would work graveyard at a hotel, go to school where I worked in a work study program, then took classes, went home, did homework, got two hours of sleep, and started it all over again. Not fun.

Gazpacho is a cold veggie soup.....it's Spanish in origin, I believe.....

Tomato juice based, it's very colorful. I put red, yellow & orange bell peppers, onions, thinly~sliced yellow squash, celery sometimes....and sometimes to shake things up, I add peeled, de~tailed shrimp....Holy GAY that's good! <giggle>
