Coming in to work this morning and on my desk, I found a quart tupperware container with just a smiley face drawing on a POST-IT stuck to top of it. It was full of Beef and Cabbage soup. I immediately called Becky. No, wasn't her. Poured 3/4 of it in a bowl and put it in the microwave. Then checked with Rosemary but one of our secretaries said she is not in today. Then I thought, has to be Laura or my supervisor's wife who cooked it. Saw Laura in hallway on the way to supervisor's office. Yes, it was Laura!!! I hugged and thanked her! It is so good!! Ate a bite even before I stuck it in the microwave. I have 1/4 of the quart left ... trying to save it for later ... hmmm ... but probably will eat it sooner.

Right now is as good of a time as any, wouldn't you say? ;)

When after getting to know someone only having met them or chatted with them for several months but yet it feels like you've known the person your whole life so when you at some point meet for the first time and after you both say hello and you both reach for each other hand and have that feeling , tingly warm sensation go from your hands to the rest of your body feeling safe you know she's the right one!

Happiness is 100 acres of land, backed against woods and a small mountain. A grassy area in front with a large pond/lake to swim or row a boat in. No neighbors as far as the eye can see. Being able to be outside, laying in a hammock naked if I wanted. Temperature never exceeding 78 and not dropping below 50. Endless fruit, herb and vegetable plants.

Pure happiness... THRILLING, EXCITING, HEART FLUTTERING HAPPINESS... was/is conquering fears of deep, dark water while taking my very first, solo kayak ride on a huge lake with choppy water and learning to navigate and turn thru fast currents that tried to sweep me way out into the wrong side of the lake. ..I was so thrilled and happy I did it all by myself without a single lesson or anyone to help...and how intensely happy it made me to face and overcome my fears of getting dumped in dark water. ...at first I was terrified, but it was my determination and stubborn will that made that quickly turn to thrilling excitement and happiness!

For over an hour (in a rented kayak) I navigated around obstacles such as an ancient cement spillway platform, buoys, old submerged tree stumps left from when they made the lake, tall metal poles used as markers where the swimming beach drops off and (close to shore) a tangle of lilly pads. ...I used the buoys to learn how to turn and weave between them...then I turned around and learned how to fight upstream against the current. ....after ,that, I skimmed near shore and got to quietly sneak up on a family of Killdeer birds as the babies were learning to leave their nest. Ohhhh boy did their momma scold me.

Everything about my adventure made me sooooo happy!! This is such a huge accomplishment for me on so many levels!!

Happiness to me is...first of all ... an inside job... it is me who makes me happy...first and foremost...living out of gratitude is the key I dare say.

but but but...if one should be so lucky to find a yang to their ying...
there can be an unexpected new level of happy...

Advocating for myself and "finding my Voice"....having a long, very productive conversation with a Supervisor (going over the head of my previous case reviewer) of one of the State's Health Care Policy offices today and getting VERY GOOD news about my case and the progress we are working towards. She absolutely made my day!

Happiness is being greeted with, and acknowledging true PROFESSIONALISM in the Health Care field, especially state offices...and finding someone that really does know what she's talking about, to help me navigate the system.

Happiness is, knowing I am a HUGE step closer to reaching my goal!!

Spending over the last hour online with my niece so she could share her pictures from the last couple years. I love that girl and her sister beyond measure!! I may not be able to be there in person with them, but it sure was fun as she shared memories with me and I got to see how she's grown up, even if it's through pictures.

And I swear my oldest niece is my twin, one generation removed! right down to her freckles, smile, laughter and her interests and hobbies. Both girls just light up my world!

Getting news my oldest niece has once again hit the A-B Honor Roll (which is a huge turn around from 2 years ago).
Having hope and making plans to attend her graduation next year.

Finally finding the perfect setting/necklace "glass memory locket" for my cut emerald that also has a small silver Tree Of Life (2 of my favorite things in one)

On my way home, the pouring rain had almost stopped (had been worried about flooding).

When I got home, it was fun being so happy and excited to put together my locket and see how the emerald sparkles. I very rarely wear any jewelry unless it really means something.

Now... time for some of my favorite, local :wine:
