Chuckling...watch the weather report, shakin my head it aint gonna last long.

Happiness is.......well was......Christmas in the early 80's probably 1983. I was living on the Tennessee river, that was happiness in itself, but, I came home (SC) for Christmas. We stayed at the lake house, because it was between our NC house my parents lived in and Columbia where my grandparents lived and where we had Christmas.

I had a week off from my job in Tn and of course the lake house was my haven from childhood. OK here is the happiness part....the whole week it was warm enough for shorts even at night. So for a whole week, I wore shorts and sat on the dock crappie fishing all day and all night, except Christmas Day.

Yep don't take much to bring me happiness, just a place to fish, and peace and quiet.

Fastforward 3 wks back to Tennessee and it's Superbowl 18...Raiders and Skins.....chuckling...that night it snowed asshole deep to a giraffe the wind was howling to beat the band and at that time I'd never been so cold in my life. Far cry from the happiness 3 wks earlier in SC.

Makeing an xtra buck selling jewlery..the things I have picked up playing pool.I started doing this as a nice thing to do for my elders at the center cause many arent able to shop often..omg its taken off like crazy..

Finding the inner peace that's been missing from My life for what feels like forever but has only been gone for 7 months at the most, I hadn't realised just how much I've missed this sense of serenity and how much of a loss My connection with everything around Me truly was.
I've done a lot of introspection to get back to here again, and I can't say I've been particularly enamoured with the way I've behaved, and the directions I've foolishly allowed Myself to take under the influence of people I trusted, but ultimately, I can only blame Myself for allowing it to happen, only I control My own actions, nobody else has that right.
Thank you to Mother Earth for returning Me to a state where I can see clearly once again.
So, for Me, Happiness is:
Finding Myself again :)

Happiness is seeing a retired client who volunteers at above organization on the way in AND the way out... and talking theatre to him and his volunteer partner...

Happiness is feeling back on track with work....

Happiness is walking through the parking lot of Ralphs and bumping into other business owners and standing in the warm sun to talk...

Happiness is coming home and my wife cooking me a healthy dinner...

Happiness is listening to a President speaking who I don't always agree with... but at least I am not afraid of him...

Seeing the light come on in my dog's eyes as I gave him the command to open the refrigerator. He finally got it today! He grabbed hold of the rope and pulled the door open happily! Yes! He was so proud of himself! lol

Next stage is to teach him to fetch me a soda from there, and to go back and close the door. :)
