My Gilmore Girls plans were re- routed. I got home earlier this evening to a message that my Butch lesbian folk singer crush from my 20s was playing at a coffee house 10 miles from where I live. I haven't seen her in probably 15 years or more. I had 5 minutes to fluff my hair and put on a clean shirt and I ran out the door. It was really fun. She sounded phenomenal and we chatted for a few minutes. Yay. Now to squeeze in the Gilmore girls as previously scheduled.

Today is the last day of my semester where I teach Saturday seminars at a local college. I'm looking forward to wrapping that up. Tonight I want to relax from that. I got out of work early today, went to the bank and got gas, then hit up the craft stores and grabbed dinner and some grub from the market on the way home. Now, it's Law & Order and web surfing until I decide to either go to bed or turn up the music and bounce around the house for a while. I miss my new friend Susie, but she called me last night to tell me that she caught pneumonia and that her whole ward on the third floor of the nursing home is sealed off until they all recover from this illness.

But, my Cuban Sugarman (boyfriend) is coming over to stay with me this weekend, to cook for me and lounge in bed with me. We both discovered, last weekend when he was here, that we both were each other's neighbor, but didn't know it, lol. I showed Juan pictures of my son's showing off for me in the driveway by our townhouse, and he pointed to his door, in the photo. We actually were neighbors twice...in two apartment home communities. It's such a small, small world.

Anyway, that's what I'm looking forward to this weekend: My Cuban Sugarman, his music, his cooking, his kisses. :stillheart:

Also I might challenge myself- I was going to go to the store to get provisions for company coming for dinner tomorrow. However, it's crazy snow out there. My home was hit by a loving and chaotic tornado tonight, involving my daughter and I, my parents, brother and sister in law, and two nephews, both under 4 years old. We were getting together for an overdue high school graduation party for my daughter- she graduated in December. Well we found out in December that she had graduated in June. Long confusing story of homeschool weirdness. Anyway it was good. My house is trashed. My computer is being weird and running updates. Happy Saturday!

I invited a friend to dinner after work. We went to a Vietnamese restaurant that re-opened after being closed for three years. We had wonderful food and beverages and caught up with each other, in a tiny hole in the wall (maximum occupancy 10 people,) that was cozy warm and smelled wonderful, and was pretty packed. It tested both of our spatial tolerances. lol

We went for a stroll afterwards and turned right around the corner only to discover another restaurant, by the same name, that used the same kitchen, and was spacious, and empty! lol
