I survived! I also left my keys in the first guy’s back seat which I didn’t realize until after 4:00am when the second guy dropped me back off at home. Had to call my dad to bring my spare key in the wee hours of the morning. Good times. :D

I have used Uber at least 5-6 times. The only problems that I ever had with Uber had was with one guy that could not find his way out of a paper bag, even with his GPS and a second one that accepted my ride but never showed up.

I have also had really bad USA taxi drivers.

The only exception to some negative taxi experiences was when I visited London. Those drivers are outstanding.

Brushed Monte the Magnificent, clipped his front nails. Ran out of dishtabs - scraped, rinsed, put through dish washer so they wouldn't smell up the place. Put in SOS to son - please bring dish packs ASAP. Washed dishes again with dish packs. Three did three loads laundry, folded, put away instead of just leaving it stacked on top of dryer. Condensed five different pieces of paper shopping list into one page, both sides. Inventoried contents of fridge and freezer, cleaned kitchen counters. A little bit of TV, news and some playing on the planet. Saturday, is my day of rest.

Well, I bought tickets on line to see the billions of lights at the zoo.

We had an early dinner close by, because we have a time schedule for mister Mortgage, diabetic cat. Came home, gave the shot and headed off downtown, with all the others who wanted to see the lights. Omg...traffic was at a stand still forever. I was getting frustrated and was giving up even going. I made a u-turn and said, that's it!

Past 20 cars parked at the curb, I saw a family loading up! I put the turn signal on and scored! Then we hiked over to the entrance. To a line even longer than the traffic!

Problem of not getting an email with my tickets, escorted us to guest services for a super shorter line. Then we were picked out of line to be let in a side gate. Amazing!

After the frustration of getting there, it was worth it to be inside. The only animals that were really out, we're the giraffes. All the others were inside away from the crowds. It was a perfect place to take Christmas pictures.

There were trees with billions of lights that played to music. It turned out to be a good Saturday night!

Kittens, totally unexpected. Neighbor said probably 2, maybe even 3 weeks still to go. Feeling in no rush my plan was to sleep the day away, have coffee, then order some things off Amazon for the big event. Instead Monte woke me, led me to her. Nothing looked out of the ordinary so I fed and watered and treated them both. Turned around to exit kitchen and yep surprise she was going to have them. I had to quick throw together a makeshift birthing center in the bathroom. She had five – all healthy and robust. I was worried about the last one though, the runt of the litter. Mom was too exhausted to cut its cord, so I had to help her finish delivering it. But now it's in there kicking ass and taking names, fighting for food with the best of them. These kittens are such wild things, I've never seen newborn kittens whoop on each other this much! Next hurdle, seeing them weaned. :) Now even though it's only 7:30 I'm exhausted and unless I get a second wind expect to be in bed by 9 maybe even earlier. Kittens, totally unexpected. Neighbor said probably 2, maybe even 3 weeks still to go. Feeling in no rush my plan was to sleep the day away, have coffee, then order some things off Amazon for the big event. Instead Monte woke me, led me to her. Nothing looked out of the ordinary so I fed and watered and treated them both. Turned around to exit kitchen and yep surprise she was going to have them. I had to quick throw together a makeshift birthing center in the bathroom. She had five – all healthy and robust. I was worried about the last one though, the runt of the litter. Mom was too exhausted to cut its cord, so I had to help her finish delivering it. But now it's in there kicking ass and taking names, fighting for food with the best of them. These kittens are such wild things, I've never seen newborn kittens whoop on each other this much! Next hurdle, seeing them weaned. :) Now even though it's only 7:30 I'm exhausted and unless I get a second wind expect to be in bed by 9 maybe even earlier. But it's a good kind of tired – new life brought into the world and all. Birth is just amazing.

Congratulations on your new feline brood! Years ago my cat, Oreo, waited for me to get off of work before settling in to deliver. It was an amazing thing to witness.

So... i actually worked on my taxes for about 45 mins getting all my receipts into right folders for my rentals.I HATE DOING TAX PREP! I am glad my duplex is sold one less tax category for 2018.My goal is taxes in on time.....for the first time in 8 years??? Only because i get a refund,cuz if you owe the IRS its alot of penalty $. I must also admit its the first time in 8 years i have not had a family member in hospice or gravely sick.So i can be the priority finally!

Recuperating from long day. First lunch with my eldest and his new girlfriend. Clothes shopping to pick up something decent for my youngest son's wedding. This because I realized the only formal clothes I have are all black, since I only ever dress that formal these days if it's a funeral. Attended my youngest son's wedding. Back home gave each cat a bit of individual attention. Now I'm skying down with some warm milk, and playing on the planet a bit before flunking in bed to escape the way I'm feeling. It's due to this recent med change. Over time it will improve but first it has to build up in my system.

Well, Saturday was low key for me. Power was still out so I went out and grabbed some hot food and had dinner by candlelight with the fur babies. Bed was early and inviting. Tons of blankets and covers because it seems to get cold in the NE in the winter when you have no heat.

Must be afraid of bats and vampires?) ...then back to house to unload trucks, walk dogs, and RELAX).... Sat night is being spent crashing in the AC.

went to a Halloween party. There was a contest for the grossest food. Absolutely disgusting...kitty litter, intestines and black deviled eggs.
(The kitty litter was good after you got over how it looked. The intestines, were cinnamon rolls opened up with red food coloring added to the topping. )

I got to dress up in all things I don't normally do. Lol. Fishnets, pink streaks in my hair, and super long false eyelashes.

Drank many Harvest beers ! Good times.

As usual we do all our fun stuff during the day...

We started out with a leisurely breakfast/lunch at our favorite local spot, then proceeded to the New England Fiber festival. Got a few things there AND I tried my hand at yarn spinning. Definitely a learned task that looks easier than it is.

After that, we went trying to look at a kitten to adopt but just found chicken stuff.

We stopped for lunch at a place with “brewing” in its name only to find they did NOT make their own beer. It was kind of divey but the food and beer was very good.

Then returned home and watched an awesome special about the National Parks that gives snippets about each one. My honey is finally getting excited about full time RV living (next year) and we’re making lists of places to go!
