Work has been busy paperwork creating training manuals in case I can't be here suddenly for sickness/quarantine. I'm the only person in my entire department so I need to make sure that someone untrained can somewhat step in on short notice and sort of do my job.
I'm half listening to a webinar on HUD/Shelter financing for COVID-19
Then hopefully a nap
Then hopefully time with Daddy. We haven't been together for almost two weeks because I had possible exposure. We visited on my porch a little here and there but that's it.

. . . Thinking about a squash casserole.
Now I'm thinking about a squash casserole too. Unfortunately, I don't have any squash. I will have to put it on my shopping list for next time (whenever that is). Supposedly, according to Science Vs (a podcast that looks at rumors and myths through the lens of science), if you leave your fruits and veggies out for 3 days, any Covid-19 will die. Also, cooking at 160*F or higher for at least 5 minutes will kill Covid-19. No problem for a squash casserole.
Today, I:
- printed out and downloaded a bunch of stuff for work
- scheduled a bunch of Zoom calls
- watched Ozark while I ate lunch
- am going to take a nap
- am going to change the kitty boxes
- am going to spot clean some carpet areas
- am going to take a long, luxurious spa bath and wash my hair
- am going to have leftover pizza and cream of tomato soup for dinner
- am going to listen to podcasts before I go to bed

Just came back from curbside pickup at Target. Included in my purchase was suction hooks. I'm excited to hang my sun catchers in my kitchen window.
Now I'm looking for a way to hang my stain glass pieces I made years ago. I'm excited to see them up again.
Watch crime shows and sew up some masks.
Plot a self quarantine drive in my car for tomorrow. I'm on a search for Texas bluebonnets.
P.S. Squash casserole was ok. Next time adding some jalapenos!

Daddy and I woke up early around 5:30 and spent a few hours going over all of the seeds we bought for planting. Daddy made a spreadsheet of every plant, if we plant inside or outside to start, germination period, harvest time, and notes about sun and light. I fed information to Daddy to fill in the blanks from reading seed packs and from things I already know. Then we planted all of the seeds that we can start inside and will transport later in the season. That took us until about 11am.
Now I'm back at my house waiting to zoom with my parents and sister in law and nephews for Easter.
Then I have a 3:00 story time zoom scheduled with my friends with young children. I have a few fun Easter books to read to them.
Then the day remains to be seen. Maybe yard work maybe my daughter and I will do a Bob Ross painting class, maybe we will just read quietly. It's still Sunday back to work tomorrow morning for us so we won't let loose as much as we might like.
Hoping for a fun Sunday for you all.

I met up with my bestie and her hubby to exchange stuff..lol. I made them masks and gave her some extra little storage boxes there were no longer needed. She gave me a Scentsy burner and jalapeno jelly. This social distance transaction happened in the grocery store parking.
Went to Lowe's for another coconut grass liner. I have this heart shape wire basket just asking for some colorful flowers. It's going to go on my front porch.

- I already wrote my appeal to the insurance company. I also took some pictures of my hips they said they wanted and that my doctor didn't take. The insurance company still hasn't approved my surgery. Now I just have to mail it this morning.
- I have to find a way to wake up. Caffeine isn't working. Maybe some exercise would do it. Maybe I could walk to the mailbox instead of driving.
- I have some Zoom calls this morning.
- I have some paperwork to finish.
- Watching the last two episodes of Homeland.
- Making a squash casserole (probably).

I've had a credit union account for 30 years, and I have never needed a commercial bank account in all that time, not once. I did have a commercial bank account once upon a time, but it was expensive - I have not missed it at all.

I love my credit union! They have more options than a traditional bank nowadays and often times higher interest earned.

I need "thoughts and prayers," going to Costco later. The carts are already well over the 6 feet distancing parameters, they're more like 10 or 15 feet, right? Every time I go there, my list is short maybe 4 or 5 items, YET.....my bill is 3 or 400 and the cart is bulging with crap I didn't need.
I know, I know, We will eventually use the 260 rolls of toilet paper. We will eventually use the 5 gallon drum of Tide. We will eventually use the 70 pack of toothpaste.

Well, let's see:
1. I had to go over to the VA clinic and get some labs drawn this morning.
2. I took our big guy, Rocko, over to the groomer's for his lion cut and nail trim. I just got back from picking him up.
3. The lawn guy and the exterminator are both coming today to cut/trim the lawn and shrubs and do our periodic pest control treatment that we have done every 3 months.
4. I'd really enjoy a bit of a nap later on, after everyone clears out and it's just Dear Wife and me.
5. Dear Wife's got some projects (like her flower garden in the front flower beds) going on that she's been working on for the past couple of days. I may get "requisitioned" for some of that, which would be okay. I love just "hanging out" with my beautiful wife and doing little projects with her. :winky:
It's a beautiful day in central Texas today, sunny, with the temperatures in the high 70's/low 80's. We live on a hill, so we've always got a nice breeze going. :)

Last year I planned on doing my 2018 taxes on Presidents Day, but that morning as I was going to make coffee I fell and hurt my wrist and ended in the hospital with a couple surgeries. That was a rough day and week and I forgot all about my taxes. Totally blocked it out. Well, I was reminded that they weren’t done when I didn’t get the Covid19 check. So I’m starting them today and will probably be finished tomorrow. Glad I have until July to do the 2019 taxes.

You can make your own. You need about 20 inches of material and something to loop it around your ears, like hair ties or rubber bands. If you can't find a decent filter, people have been using coffee filters successfully. You can also cut up an old shirt or check Etsy because tons of people are making them. Just wash it before you use it when it gets there. Don't worry; there are a lot of options out there if you look for them. Here's a video that shows you 3 different ways to make your own with materials usually found at home.

Not too much, sadly. I did get a load of laundry washed and put away and I scrubbed the stove top plus used, cleaned and seasoned my cast iron skillet and I took the trash and recycling out but other than that, not much. I did watch a whole season of a cute show about a ghost rock band on Netflix, but to be fair it wasn't much of an accomplishment as the episodes were short and there weren't a ton of them. I also forgot to eat lunch so I guess that doesn't help matters. Oh! I paid 2 bills too and verified all of my account balances/statuses. That's still not much, though. It was a stormy, rainy day so it was nice to just stay inside and be lazy.

AND NOW THE FEMALE COLLABORATORS ARE BEING FOISTED UPON US.
MAY THEY MEET THE SAME FATE AS THEIR TRAITOROUS SISTERS AFTER WWII
I'm going to read up on Marguerite Duras and other remarkable French feminist intellectuals ...
for instance:
The Manifesto of 343 was a petition signed by 343 French women in 1971. The petition stated that these women “had the courage to say, ‘I’ve had an abortion.'” At the time, abortion was illegal in France and therefore the petition was considered an act of disobedience.
The text of the manifesto was written by the famous French feminist and writer Simone de Beauvoir. The top of the manifesto stated:
“One million women in France have abortions every year. Condemned to secrecy, they do so in dangerous conditions, while under medical supervision, this is one of the simplest procedures. Society is silencing these millions of women. I declare that I am one of them. I declare that I have had an abortion. Just as we demand free access to contraception, we demand the freedom to have an abortion.”
The manifesto was published in the magazine Le Nouvel Observateur in 1971, and would go on to influence the passing of a law that legalized abortion in France in 1975. The law was named after another famous French feminist Simone Veil, under the name the “Veil Law.”

What kinda Commie is Harris?
I might try to read up on and memorize all the various versions of "Communism" that are out there.
I can never get through it and every time I try, I doze off.
I wonder what kind of Communist Trump thinks Harris is.
I'm not so sure he could tell a Bolshevik from a Menshevik never mind the Prachanda Path, the Hoxhaists and in particular, the Luxemburgists.
Maybe he'll have time soon in his "retirement" to read up.

Well, I made some plans and then kind of said to Hell with them when I turned my alarm off and went back to sleep so who knows? I need to stop into the office for a few minutes today and I need to start putting the house back together from the flooring project. I got the bones of everything back into place immediately afterwards but have stalled on the little bits of gooblety gook and brick-a-brack that makes a home a home. Also, the kitties are cute today and I want to play with them.

1. Get dishwasher fixed. (only 2 yrs old and stopped working)
2. Get my flu shot and make sure my pneumovax (pneumonia shot) is up to date. It has to be done every 5 years and is important for us "older" folks.
3. Get some lab work done at the VA (routine).
4. Get an oil change for my truck.
5. Early voting for the general 2020 election starts today. I need to scope the line out.

And on the flip side boob smash is done and over. Wow, so different than any others before. I remember getting called, taken to a room, given a locker and a pretty fluffy robe to wear while you wait. One of the reasons it's taking me awhile to unpack is because I sold a desk, filing cabinets, drawers, and tables when I moved and I need to purchase and assemble replacements parts on this end. And, my kitchen is half the size of my last one so Im really taking my time unpacking the kitchen because some things I'll need to get rid of and I'm not looking forward to that.
I've already assembled computer desk and sewing table, but these drawers are in a different league. There's a youtube video on assembling these drawers here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnxP_tvZNWY), but that isn't always helpful. Still, I'll give it a try.

Nothing but enjoy the silence. Monte and I let the kids know while J is taking her weekend vacation break from mommyhood – don't call us we'll call you. This will be the first weekend since my grandson was born that my oldest will be home, entirely alone with the baby, without someone close by on hand to call should he run into problems, find himself wishing he had help. I'm taking a break from grandmahood and the least favorite grandparents are out of town so – Good luck son. We love you.

Besides surviving work, I wanted to shave my legs as I'm getting a mani-pedi tomorrow but I'm just going to do it in the morning since it's getting late now and I'll have them skip the salt scrub.
Tomorrow's agenda is going to be a lot more interesting, though. A friend will come over to see the difference in the place since she was here last and pick up some tops I put aside for her as I reorganized, we'll load up her SUV with donation items, then we'll go to the mall and get doted on for a hour or two at the salon, walk around the mall some then make our way back to our town, drop the donations off and visit a brand spanking new Market Basket grocery store and most likely we'll both pick up fresh rolled sushi. It's been ages since I've had :sushi:! After that, we'll likely split ways but maybe not before walking a path she showed me last month that was fun and had an adult 'playground' with exercise equipment on it.
Once home, it'll be more reorganization and maybe a movie. Tomorrow is about taking it easy and just having fun the whole day.

Made a few phone calls and chatted away the afternoon. Now I'm going to do some organizing and straightening up in my bedroom while I listen to the news. No idea what I'm making for dinner yet, and it's getting kind of late - we might just graze on nibbly snacks, charcuterie and pickles and hummus and such.

That was the plan and most of it was achieved! I had more donation items than she thought so we dropped those off first and went to Starbucks for her, then went to her store to drop something off and visit the facilities before continuing on to the mall where we each got a mani/pedi and bought stuff that we really didn't need but what the Hell.
We both found gorgeous winter jackets for $19.99 that were originally $160 and $250. Call us crazy but that was too good of a deal to pass up. I also got a bookbag/handbag hybrid that was discounted $180. Score! We went to a store where each piece of clothing was $8.88. She got two dresses and I got a pair of workout leggings with lots of pockets and a tee that says, "I'm Speaking" and has Kamala's signature on it. She got a bubble tea and I drooled over some fudge (but did NOT buy it----go me!) and we spent a lot of time going up and down the Boscov's escalators because we both got turned around a bit and it was kind of fun.
No hiking as time got away from us but we did visit the new grocery store and it was crazy busy. We both picked up sushi and soy sauce and she picked up a papaya, some avocados, chips and something else that escapes me at this moment. I got Halos, bananas and batteries for my pedometer now that I finally found the teensy weensy screwdriver to open the back of the casing.
Most of today's agenda was achieved and it was a wonderful day. My afternoon and evening agenda of reorganization and a movie has not played out quite like I thought. I did get some stuff out of my craft room and into a staged 'sell' area but after dinner my time was spent getting rid of the last of the litter that could be causing Gracie's allergic reaction, scrubbing Loki's box, sweeping and vacuuming the rugs and floors and I have a load of laundry in the washer now that it's cooling down. It was miserable hot today. So glad I was in a freezing cold mall most of the day!
My main goal for the day was to let work go and have fun with a good friend and that was achieved 98% so I feel the day was successful and am quite content right now.

Today I plan to tackle some projects in My house. I have 2 boxes left to go through of My Mom's stuff that I brought home when we emptied her storage unit a few days ago. I had about 7 boxes in all.
So today will be:
Hanging up some of her pictures, etc. in My kitchen and living room.
Trip to the store for potting soil, batteries, and other misc. stuff
Sweep, mop, dust the downstairs
Hang Edison lights in My office (they were going to be for the deck but as it turns out the outlet outside does not work so I let the property manager know that - but given I do not know when it will be fixed - I am going to buy solar Edison lights for out there)
Make some deviled eggs
Work on the slowness issue that just started with My other laptop last night.
Write up My agenda for this coming week
and hopefully if I am not dead tired - tonight I will binge watch season 7 of Alone on the History channel as Season 8 starts this coming week.

No, Hands wasn’t there. But, she was there the time before when I went in and she gave me a big smile when I said, Hiiiii (I was very cute that day—had on my bell bottoms and clingy blue top), though she was busy with another worker so we didn’t get a chance to chat.
The time before that she helped me search for something (sprouts, asparagus, who knows what) and we ended up laughing and giggling for some reason.
It’s fun to have someone to look forward to flirting with.
Today’s agenda is to exercise, pull in the garbage can, get the car cleaned.

Then a meeting with the Director of HR because my salary may be at the highest end when they recalibrate the salary scale which would mean that my annual raise would come in the form of a bonus every year instead of spread out. I've spent several hours studying up on setting things aside for a rainy day . I've learned a lot from this pandemic. In some areas, in terms of planning ahead, I've done much better than expected. In others though, nowhere nears as well as I thought I had. Still, overall, it's easy to see how much better life has been due to having had a plan in place than it probably would have been if before the pandemic I hadn't bothered to do any planning at all. Anyhow I worked on that as long as I could, finally breaking for a late lunch as my first meal of the day. Now I'm going to spend some time online goofing off and in between taking some breaks here and there to start dishes, run some laundry and force my self to just do it- roll up my sleeves and get that Walmart delivery order in. Why I keep procrastinating I don't know. I mean it's for food, not cleaning agents.

Catch up on dishes, with the kids out of town and no one to see I've really let things pile up.
Inventory food stores/count and rotate cans
Clean/disinfect bathtub and launder shower curtain
Make out Christmas card and holiday gift lists
Renew license
Measure for things - curtains, shelving, freezer
Look online and search for bedding to gift myself for Christmas
Play laser tag with/exhaust Monte. Give him his beauty, spa treatments – mani/pedi, blow out/comb out, relaxing massage. Feed him a hearty meal. Then let him sleep good and hard for hopefully a long rest. He likes to “help” me with can chores if I don't zonk him out and I'd like to do it while he's asleep, won't be under foot.

I wanted to get a mani/pedi and I did. I wanted to also stop at a couple of places and then pick up some things at Wally World, which I did. The rest of my day was supposed to be spent at home, which it was, but I was supposed to be reorganizing and cleaning, which I was not.

Get my cards ready to send out next month. Wrap the little stocking stuffers I got for the little one . I wrap all of them before I stuff the stocking as I know kids love to open presents no matter how small LOL. I finally found a box to put her snow globe in. Her stocking has a snowman sewn on the side of it. Slippers for all three when they visit. Once that's wrapped I have to order some other things I saw.

We wrap stocking stuffers too - no peeking. Mom started that tradition. One year dad put a lump of coal in each of our stockings. The next year we dumped all his stocking stuffers out then filled it up with Kingsford briquettes. Now that I think about it we should have been nicer because the year he gifted us coal was the only year I can ever remember him not intentionally trying to piss mom off by inverting the crucifix – There I decorated for the holiday, happy?

Given I have the day off:
Finally wrapping and securing the furniture, etc. on my back deck for winter.
A trip to Walmart to buy printer ink and finish off shopping for my adopted "Christmas family".
Organize my home office.
Hook up with my sister's fiance and get my truck back over here. (I had to leave it at my sister's when I picked up my new car) Wait - scratch that - he has to work today - so that will be a no go.
I am sure there are other minor things - dishes, etc.

Well I have to go to work tonight at 7pm. I’ll need to get a nap in later but right now I’m wide awake. Clean the house a little, laundry, clean up after our 16 year old Boston Terrier who is blind, deaf, and has doggie dementia. Push myself to get out of this funk and try to LIVE life…….

An entire day off for me!
Slept in..well an extra hour.
Pulled up the fall mums.
I need to trellis up my sweet peas
Pull some weeds
Move the seedlings to their own pots.
Finish sewing up a sea turtle quilt for a friends xmas gift.
Practice recipe for toffee I want to make for family and friends.
Wow..I best get moving, but I'm sitting here enjoying my coffee and ignoring my Mom's chatter to Fox News. Yeah, that's my life now. However, I fixed that! New TV stand was put together yesterday so I can escape to my own space.

Well, I am starting a new job next Monday so I have a lot of things to get out of the way before then - so this all will be spread out over the next 4 days:
Laundry
Barber
Grocery shopping
Deliver gifts I purchased for "adopted" Christmas family
Organize this disaster of a home office I am sitting in
Wrap furniture on the back deck
A/C unit is out of the window - now I have to box/wrap it for winter
I am sure there is more - things will pop up as I go along, as they usually do.

I'm going to pick up a dear friend's teenage daughter to take her out to lunch and give her a gift card to Advance Auto for her birthday. Then drop her off at work.
Then back to my sister's to pack a small bag of necessary items for my over night(s) stay in the hospital starting tomorrow at 8am.
Help my sister make dinner.
Spoil my doggy before I leave tomorrow.
Get a long hot shower and have my sister French braid my hair so I don't have to mess with it a couple days.
Maybe take a short hike while the sun/sky is still pretty.
