This last week has been fun and wild. Glad to have a long Sunday to relax and tomorrow to get ready for the week. Planning on doing a little grilling or watching Red do a little grilling :-). Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend.

I bought a McMuffin and iced coffee on the way to the walk-in clinic to deal with an ear infection. The new insurance is good though. And I am now full of antibiotics and ear drops and in bed watching White Collar on Netflix. AND it's a three-day weekend. Could be worse.

I was sitting on the patio with a cup of coffee this morning enjoying the cool breeze and overcast skies when I decided the weather was perfect for a cruise on my motorcycle. I finished my coffee and went inside to get ready to go when my phone rang...it was a buddy of mine that had the same thought about riding that I did. A couple of phone calls later, four of us met up and went cruising for a couple of hours, then we stopped for breakfast before parting ways. Wish I could do this every Sunday!

After a very nice day of rain we so needed. The sun is shining and the flowers are blooming nicely in the back garden. Stayed up really late finishing up a series we had been watching on Netflix.
Busy working on getting ready for my first Groovefest! I am more than excited about the opportunities this is going to bring to my business.
Red and I are have no plans today other than a few things to get ready for the work week.

After a humungously long [and really challenging in parts] day and a late night, I woke at 10.30am, in time for the omnibus edition of The Archers.
Radio sounds freakin' amazing on the newly acquired Bose Wave radio...aux connection means I can also use it for the ipod for music and laptop when watching movies.
Heard most of the world's longest running radio 'soap opera' but fell asleep curled up around Miss Pottymouse and woke up listening to a political history programme until finally getting out of the pit at around 1.30pm.
It's almost 5pm as I type and already I can hear the siren call of Teh Pit.
It really was a very long day yesterday.

I ran into a good friend on the beach this morning and we ended up hanging out talking for a couple of hours because I'm moving soon. It's tough to say these goodbyes.

We ended up wanting to talk longer so she treated me to a wonderful brunch at an outdoor garden tea shop that had fantastic quiche and veg pate`. I will miss her... There are some amazing people here.

I spent the entire day preparing for the Groovefest on the 28th of this month. My business partner and I are ready to rock! Red spent the day lounging with the pups and reading all of her favorite magazines. Nice cool weather. Ready for the Fall.

Busy does not describe how this Sunday has been. It's down to the wire for the Groovefest and are finally ready to roll everything out. I so wanted a rainy weekend with nothing to do but finishing everything for the festival was what needed to be done.

Fall is officially here, well at least late at night. As always if you want the weather in Oklahoma to change just hang around a bit. Lot's going on for the fall around our house. We are the odd couple that does spring cleaning in the fall. Floors done, cabinets in the kitchen done, winter clothes out, summer clothes sort of put up. Winterizing for the home started. We enjoyed getting up early and making a dent, cooked a nice breakfast and enjoyed some us time.

What a wonderful weekend in this has been. My Sooners squeaked out a win at the Red River Rivalry and the trip home for all that went was fun. Boomer Sooner Boys. The sun is shining this morning the high temp will be the upper 70's. Not bad for and October day. Omelet's are on the menu this morning, made with fresh brown free range farm eggs, stuffed with Canadian bacon, American Cheese and smothered in hot homemade salsa for Red. I'm stuffing mine with spicy veggie sausage and garlic herb goat cheese. Hope everyone has a wonderful laid back Sunday.

I had to finish it. It was personal at that point.

I think they were trying to parody several movies at once....You've Got Mail, When Harry Met Sally and the brand new movie This is Where I Leave You (all really good movies!) to name a few....but try to make it seem like a real movie but still *wink, wink* let you know it wasn't by some serious overacting and some disconnected celebrity cameos.

I was confused and dismayed.

Add the disappointment in at not being able to see a doc today that can help me with more than sniffles (which I don't have...knock, knock) and today has not been stellar.

I've dug into Redbox again and we'll see if it can redeem itself tonight and turn this thing around.

My morning didnt start out over easy

i was to pick up a friend and her family and take to the airport for them to go to disney for a week. i set my alarm for 415 am but slept right thru it and woke at 5am. Jumped up dressed and everything and on the road within 5 mins got to them by 6 and to the airport by 7. Their flight left a little after 8am and they made it with NO issues.

Ms Cricket26 and I went to WinStar and she was treated to lunch by a complete stranger. The 3 of us had lunch together. Ms Cricket won enough to break even and I got to play while there on just what I went in with.

Now we r watching halloween wars on food network

I've spent the morning relaxing and talking with my mom <3 going to get up and make myself a tea and migrate over to my dads room to spend some time with him now. I will have to get up and take my girl for a walk soon as she knows there's no rain today and 3 days of rain and not a lot of outdoor time makes her a restless pup! Overall going to be a great Sunday. :)

Once I got into work, that's when it all hit. The snow showers, the problems, etc.

Up early, in time to catch the last pink glow of sunrise over the golden falltime fields with a soft blue sky above the band of pink...
Drove to Charlotte (enjoying the gold and red trees through the country)...breakfast at Cracker Barrel.. shopping at fabric store, deep mental focus on my projects too early in morning, and then craft store where I had to scour the whole store to find anything close to what I needed...

Another drive through stunning beautiful countryside to my roommate's parent's house to drop off a special treat...Then Gramma talked us into taking a ride to the mountain and Lake "to see the leaves and deer"...after much will power to bypass Dunkin Donuts...we headed back to their place, had a homemade dinner...headed home, then I went back to town to put gas in my car...$20 gave me an ALMOST full tank!! *happy dance*!! I've got a big car that was taking nearly $50 to fill up this summer.

All around, a very happy day

Good Morning!
Last day of November and it is going to be 75 here in Okieland and then hit rock bottom tomorrow with a high of 32. My bones don't know when to ache and when to dance. :-)
I am assuming it's back to work for most of us. Long weekends are always great other than I have to tell myself over and over to get up on Monday. Red is cooking our meal today. We spent the weekend visiting family and shopping. I now have proof that you can't fix stupid because I was talked into to going out on Friday. LOL. Hoping everyone has had a nice weekend. Happy December!
We are back in the winter mode here, not real cold but not flip flop weather. The tree is up, and presents are starting to appear. I actually let Red charm me into going out Black Friday and it was as I expected, crazy. People were not in the holiday spirt, more like the evil spirits..Lol. Anyway I survived and now have that experience checked off my bucket list.
Mailing my BFP Christmas cards tomorrow. It is always fun to get the cards every year, I enjoy seeing all of them.

Our tree is up. Each year we buy glass ornaments in tropical theme. This year, for mine, is a glass fused dolphin with blue frit on her back and differing shades of blue on the chimers. Hers is a smaller turtle with variations of teals, blues, and greens.

Got our cookie cutters out to make sugar cookies and decorate later this week.

Just lazing around, reading Sunday paper, enjoying our quiet, quality time....I love this day best of all.....

Getting ready to deliver packages to my neighbor and a young family with two daughters below age 3, who lost their home in a fire.

It's that nagging gray wet weather here where you think you do not need a coat until you leave the house without one you freeze.

Red has been sick since Friday and she is getting house sick, which means once she gets loose she will shop until she drops. I am not sure I want to be here when she get's back, unloading the car could take days.

It is freaking cold and windy with the sun shinning like it is summer :-). Tomorrow is the beginning of a new job for me. I am going to be doing the same thing but for a much better company and I will no longer be on commission only, I will have a base, weeks vacation, 401K and they pay all of my health, dental and eye insurance. Totally amazing to find this job and get it.
Here is to a fantastic 2015 for everyone. May all of you get what you need, go for what you want and have one hell of a good time just living.

Good morning!

I'm in super PMS mode, so I naturally decided to eat most of the food I bought at the gourmet market yesterday. Chocolate bread (CHOCOLATE BREAD!!! it's soooo good), mango mochi balls, cheesecake from Junior's in NY...it's amazing how much your body can put away when you're really determined.

I've woken up, lounged around in bed for an hour listening to the rain, gone to the gym and the grocery store, got gas, put everything away and I just heard the click of the washing machine to let me know it's time to switch over the laundry. Brunch is being consumed and I'm relaxing before starting some chores.

I slept in til noon, holy bajeesus, and it was awesome!

got and entire 2 lb pack of my favorite bacon (thick cut, applewood smoked, no preservative) baking in the oven-- if you haven' tried it, you need to. it comes out perfect.

Going to add that to fluffy scrambled eggs, cheese and my yummy coffee.

happy sunday! finally a relaxing sunday....this past week included my moms 70th b day party, my sons gfs b day, a week long visit from my sis (and 2 kids) from milwaukee, work every weekday except new years day, and a week long hospital stay for ted, and i tried to spend at least a couple of hours at the hospital every day he was there...so today i slept in...had coffee, eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, watched movies and dozed most of the morning...i am also trying to shake a head cold...back to work tomorrow! :)

Happy Sunday!!!

Sundays are sorta my "whateva" days. I catch up on cleaning that was not accomplished through the week, and or work in my office. I usually always try and do some relaxation by watching a movie or two.

Sunday nights for me is my girl time, hot oil my hair, pedi sometimes, and going through clothes to wear next week and picking out my jewelry. That way, through the week, it's already organized and all i have to do is get up and grab my stuff that is already coordinated. It's like having a stylist without having to pay for one.

I enjoy Sundays. Always have. Somehow they seem like a very long day. Maybe it's because i do try to do things i really enjoy.

Good Morning!
Typical Oklahoma weather, 70's yesterday and today. I love being able to open the windows and doors and smell the fresh air. It helps to get these nice days of weather so I can get busy and ready for our garden. Setting up the mini-indoor green house today to plant our starter seeds. Ordered non GMO seeds for this year and I am going to hopefully have a true all organic garden this year.

My Kasey spent all night at the hospital with a dying friend, so I will be taking our elderly friend alone to church in the rain, then hurrying home to get ready for the Oscar party we throw each year.

yesterday and this morning we have been preparing for half an inch if ice which will most likely paralyze this area for a couple of days...i packed a bag and am staying at teddybears place as he is just down the street from my work....we are stocked up and are waiting for the ice which may or may not come and may be more or less than expected...sheesh...it seems so silly compared to what others are facing...

No matter how busy our weeks, and Saturday are, we prefer to reserve Sunday for sleeping in with no alarms and just going with the flow. Only real plan today is planting and hanging up planters, and perhaps meal planning since last week we didn't follow it all too well.. :-) Now to crawl back under the covers for a while!

Slept in forever, and ever. It felt so good to do so. Went out to grabbed a bite to eat and splurged a little by having pancakes with my meal, it was amazing! Then just ran a quick errand and home to work on our patio. Now that the bedroom is all setup and organized, and the weather is getting nice, we can focus on making the patio nice. Next up...I am thinking a BBQ!

If I could live in a place that had todays weather year around I'd be packing as we speak. Perfect is the only word to describe this day.

Spring break is up on here. We decided to do a staycation this year. Lot's of things to do around the house.

With the help of a friend we are building some raised garden beds this year. I have the wood for the framing, just waiting for my carpenter friend to get here to help. Looking forward to getting ready to plant.

I had a relaxed, peaceful day that started with great coffee and receiving an email letting me know that I had passed my Pet First Aid Certification course. The remainder of the day was spent texting with friends, bathing Sadie and trimming her nails, partaking in a 2 hour training webinar, and a quick trip to the grocery to buy bacon for tonight's spinach w/ spaghetti alla carbonara. :)

I got an early, busy start today. I have already cleaned the living room, gotten stains out of the laundry and done two loads, and am now taking a break from cleaning the kitchen. I think I will have a cup of tea. :tea:

I'm making a moderately big meal for this afternoon, which I will begin as soon as I finish my tea. We're having ham, butter beans, potatoes au gratin and cornbread, and maybe turnip greens if I have enough time. Dessert is going to be Easter candy. Edited to add: Oh, and of course, deviled eggs. Whatever would we do without the deviled eggs on Easter?

Celebrated Easter early last night with my parents. My mom made the traditional polish fair. Smoked butt, smoked and fresh sausage, potato pancakes, rye bread, and hard boiled eggs.

Today I'm headed over to my aunt's house for the traditional Italian Easter. I guarantee she'll have enough food for a small army. I wish I was still little going over there. My aunt always did an Easter egg hunt. And then the kids all would change out of our Easter best to go play in the park.

Spring has fully sprung here. Severe storms last night. No damage here but some tree limbs down around the town.
I have all my garden items ready to plant. Now to get my butt out there and get busy.
Going with black mulch this year and a variety of colors. Excited to see how it turns out. A friend bought me back a cascading Tyler Texas rose. Planting it by the back window that helps keep birds from flying into the window.

i am having trouble keeping up with how fast the grass is growing in between rain storms! at least my house is clean and i got the lawn mowed before the bbq last nite :)

today we are going to irving so teddybear can tie up some loose ends at work and check out another apartment because he wants to move close to his work

I'm trying to keep today overeasy, but Kasey invited people back after church for lunch and a movie.

I baked a lemon cake (lemons from our tree) last night, and i just put a HUGE pot of beans and bacon in the crockpot this morning.

Cornbread, sliced tomatoes, sliced avocados, beer, wine, iced tea and lemonade from our tree will round things out. :jester:

Late night yesterday. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction ceremony went late. But I woke up pretty early today anyway. Grabbed breakfast, got ready, and checked out of the hotel. Then spent a few more hours at the museum. Just got in the car to settle in for the ride home.

Got off work this am at 0700 was up since 0130.... Oh well got a latte on way home then read Sunday paper and paid bills as I am leaving for vancover wash at 4 ish for firefighter work..... Before that I got 1 1/2 yds gravel for driveway and raised beds.... Shoveling it out kicked my butt!

It's going to be a lot easier for me now that I got some cough syrup. Last night and early this morning was not easy, either over or under.

I crawled out of bed before 9am, admitted my delusion of being able to work out, had a hearty and healthy breakfast (albeit with a reduced appetite-bonus!), played online, showered and made myself presentable and went to the drugstore and the nail salon and then Michael's and Sam's, in that order. I feel much better now and am aesthetically pleasing now as well so it's all good.

Woke up at 8:30 a.m. due to my alarm. Decided to log into work and work on some tickets as I fell asleep last night working on them. I've been working OT since it's been offered, and I am losing three days due to our Disneyland trip so working all the extra hours I can this week to get close to those 24 hours.

Only other plans for today involve recycling and putting away laundry. Going in tomorrow on my day off. I might be kissing some ass as 1) I am the only one taking the offered OT and 2) I want to be promoted to Level II for a $3/hr increase.

Also have a test at work tomorrow so I have to study tonight. If we fail it once they put us on probation and re-test us, and if we fail again then they fire us :blink:

The weather is perfect. Gardening work is on the menu today. But first it's a few relaxing cups of coffee and CBS Sunday Morning News. After the gardening is done Red and I are off for our weekly reflexology. We started this 3 weeks ago and it is amazing how much it has helped with so many different things.

So, now I have gone to the drugstore - dosed with medicine - drinking oj - and hoping something works.

On the bright side - the weather is gorgeous and I have the windows open to get the fresh breeze blowing around.

I had not ONE sneeze. This whole time. I saved a bundle on tissue this time around. I made it through winter with nary a sniffle and it was only when my coworker up and left right before our busy season did my immune system crash and burn. It was heartbroken, I think.

Today's not going to be bad at all! Not fully overeasy but easier than a regular day. Sunday's are our half days and, even if I wasn't into OT already, I'd be paid OT for today's work. Thank you, state of Rhode Island and all of your plantations too.

I've already worked out and broke a Redbox machine and made breakfast. I'm going to play online here a little bit more while I ingest my hearty morning grub, shower and then prepare for my work day which will pass by in the blink of an eye. After that, I see a grocery shopping venture and watching one of the movies I picked up earlier in my future.

I'm suffering from a bit of a hangover this morning. But good thing its a relaxing Sunday for me. Nothing to do, nowhere to go.

I plan on sitting around all day. Catch up on TV, read a couple comic books.

I made an egg scramble for breakfast. And tried this awesome new jam on a bagel. It's called Drunkin' Monkey Jam. Reminded me of banana's foster in taste.

I'm also trying a new recipe for dinner. Jalapeno bacon mac & cheese. :)

after an overnite stay at the lake, we packed up the campsite after making breakfast, said bye to our new friends and headed home...after a bath for the puppy, long hot showers for the humans and burgers for lunch...just relaxing and catching up on tv shows :fishing:

The morning started early. Gym, drop off Redbox movie, shower and eat, go to salon, get gas and then it was technically the afternoon but the day didn't slow down until around 6pm.

It has certainly been an over-easy Sunday.

Did a bit of shopping, then laundry. Then spent the rest of the day with my Mom.. bbq'd some hot dogs, had pasta salad and baked beans. Helped my Mom fill out some paperwork and typed up a letter for her.

Now home - and just finished putting the shopping items away (decorative stuff - candles, etc).. time to just relax.. rest my mind.. and prepare for my short week !!

Well, Sunday has almost passed. :( But 5 work days before a 3 day weekend.

My pool is officially open. Tho a little chilly, around 65 deg.

Today was fairly relaxing. I went to the barber and got a haircut. Then watched the Blackhawks game, which was disappointing.

Grabbed a quick dinner at Chipotle before heading out to see Avengers: Age of Ultron. Really enjoyed the movie. Tho I found myself (more than) slightly envious of Chris Evans body. Never really had that happen before. But I found myself wishing for his body.

Anyway... Hope everyone enjoyed their Sunday.

Good morning! Record rain continues to fall :-(. Red and I have been fortunate to live in an area that had not flooded! Many friends and co-workers have not faired as well. I hope everyone in the effected areas are ok.

I woke up, and headed to the pool for an hour until some kids showed up then I was out..

I then decided we needed some sugar so we headed to our favorite cuban secret and partook in some cafe con leche. I may have eaten some croqueta and some papa rellena.

The weather is awesome so one more hour working on the tan, steak for supper and Game of Thrones later as foreplay.

My early morning was spent sipping hot coffee and going through my email. After Sadie finally got up, I took her out for her walk and a check on her p-mail. Then I got a load of laundry started and worked some more on organizing the garage, while she supervised. It was an easy, peaceful day. :)

It was a good Sunday though I am always a little vexed because it means the weekend is almost over. I finally got my platform bed put together (not without a few curse words and perhaps a pulled muscle or two) :| . However, it is done.

I did up the laundry and got things ready for tomorrow (lunch, snacks, etc.).. then had dinner over at my Mom's .. and spent some time walking the property and trying to stretch my back out.

I am hoping this pm Motrin helps and I get a good night's rest.

We found ourselves being lazy in bed, flipping thru the channels, looking for the weather report. Instead, an episode of Naked and Afraid came on. We were kinda watching and still talking about stuff.

He turned to me, and said, you can turn this if you want.
Umm, no, I want to see how this ends, after the girl had a raging fight with the guy she was partnered with, you know, have to see how the drama plays out in the wild.
He says, will you make pancakes?
Sure, the regular ones? German ones? Maybe waffles?
I know, we have so much fruit, we can have fruit on top!
Ooooo, even better, we have cream cheese, to top them . Kinda like crepes.

Food talk sorta won for the moment, that we were both excited, we jumped out of bed.

Then the commercials were over and the show returned, we looked at the tv, and said, wait, after this show is over, lol lol.
10 minutes left, but 6 more min of commercials..lol

Gave myself a pedi and manicure this morning (will paint the nails later while watching a movie or binging on Masters of Sex).

Made a run to Grocery Outlet and Trader Joe's with the top down. The only item I bought that wasn't on my list was some ginger mints :)

Stopped at the dog park to say hi to some friends who were with their doggies (nope, I'm still not ready to get one).

Listened to Nina Totenberg talk about an easy way to make Bernaise sauce without eggs and butter.

Will spend the rest of the day around the house getting ready for the week ahead.

Today was a pretty quiet day. I helped my Mom finish painting her front deck. I thought I would get scorched - but basically added to my tan. Had some good dinner and then came home to get some pics done up. Looking forward to the coming week. Thinking some good news is coming my way. I am feeling pretty happy on this Sunday.

Today was AMAZEBALLS. It's not my favorite phrase but it totally fits.

I got a good workout in this morning, had a good breakfast, enjoyed a relaxing shower and prepped for my outing at the art festival which was fantastic. I bought fun, whimsical and loverly artwork as well as some local, fresh honey and didn't get fried. Yay for SPF 50!

The only damper to my whole day was realizing that I accidentally got sunblock spritz on my shower curtain. It's fabric so it's washable but it's such a pain the kiester to take down, wash and put back up that I momentarily considered just buying a new curtain.

That passed but I won't be washing the curtain tonight. Maybe tomorrow or Wednesday. Not Tuesday. Definitely not Tuesday. There will be nothing easy about Tuesday, no matter which way you shake it.

I feel as though I have not been on BFP in forever. Things have been crazy in my life lately. My sister and her boyfriend came for an extended visit with their 2 dogs. And work is in a bit of an uproar with the new organizational structure.

Hopefully things are starting to settle down. I know today, after yesterday being another busy day, I plan on just relaxing at home. Which is quiet now that everyone has left.

I was up late last night.. so I didn't get up till about an hour and a half ago. I did my work out and cleaned the kitchen.

So now.. I am going to do some blogging then my big plan for this afternoon is to binge watch this last season of 'Lost Girl'. I just found out two days ago that Anna Silk is going to be at Dragon Con this year.. so I gotta get caught up. I have been looking forward to this marathon for a while!

Up at 7am, mowed our 1 1/2 acre property. 9:30 my brother came out to help me hang outdoor window blinds to block the 100+ heat. 12:30 arrived at the theatre to watch the Minions. Not layed back or over easy but one fun day!

Yet another socked in cloudy day...imminent rains....yet it IS still a beautiful day. ANY day I am "above ground" is a good day for me!!! We are sitting on patio by the pool, enjoying each other & coffee...planning our venture out today. A trip to a local fabric store for high density foam & fabric for a couple projects my honey is doing. Other than that, just a lazy Sunday...enjoying each other & the furbabies. I may work on my paper mosaics some today....:).....
