Happy Sunday everyone !

Relaxing with strong coffee. Listening to the birds. I brought home my Dad's bird feeder, and it's caused quite a stir with the neighborhood bird gang. A couple of cats have discovered the commotion as well...Oh well for them, it's a pussy tease!

happy sunday! the puppy woke me with a wet nose...he played on the bed for a bit and then followed me to the kitchen while i fought with fried eggs (they always stick to the pan) i made coffee, toast, fried eggs, scrambled eggs with sausage links and sausage crumbles now time to relax :)

Up at 6 helped my sister move, then went to breakfast. Back home now for a lazy sunday afternoon, or maybe not. Might strike out on the road again after while

This Sunday has been very overeasy. I did some cleaning earlier - worked on my list of things to do this coming week - and then took a nice longggg nap.

I needed the sleep as I am still in recuperation mode I think - well at least my body is. I feel better than I did when I woke up this morning.

It is blistering hot out there so the a/c has been on all day.. and I also think I need a new fan for the living room - this one seems to going on a slow stroll even on the high setting. :|

So far, my lazy Sunday has consisted of organizing our living room and tidying up the condo. We are on nap #2 for the day. It's a blissful, unbusy day.

Happy Sunday everyone!!! We are just enjoying our coffee by the pool! Having brunch with our friends later this am. Sunny skies, not too hot (yet!).
Has been pleasant weekend, celebrating my honey's birthday! Yesterday AM we went to a Butterfly Gardens ...that was so cool!!! There were turtles in the pond along with some huge koi!!!
We had brunch at a Crepes place....that was the best meal of the day!!! They offer a dessert crepe, filled with fresh bananas, strawberries, & pineapple and drizzled with mascarpone & chocolate drizzle....yum...yum...yum!

It's been a good morning thus far. I've worked out, started a load of laundry, went grocery shopping, got gasoline and am eating breakkie and talking with my honey now.

I have another shopping trip and work ahead of me. Luckily, it's a short day.

Today is going to be a good day! I don't have to work tomorrow so the pace is nice and slow.
Lounged in bed and played with the dogs (the 2nd best way to start the day)
Groomed and my hair decided to cooperate (this is a good sign for the day)

After lunch I am going to do some research for a presentation I have to do later in the week on physician documentation requirements for teaching hospitals

Today has been a good day. Quiet, just the way I like it. Spent the morning on the phone with one of my most favorite people in the world. After that - I did some cleaning - dusting - put clothes away

Then I upgraded my laptop to Windows 10 - so far, so good.

After the upgrade was done, I decided to just soak in the tub.. it felt good.. just relaxing.. used some lavender bath stuff.. and let everything drain out of me.. need to do that more often..

Now I am finally making some lunch.. and planning to just relax the rest of the day.

This week ahead is going to get a little busy I think.. need to store up some energy.

Good Morning over-easy peeps,

Today will be pretty relaxed. I have a pasta salad to make to add to my lunch repertoire this coming week. Other than that - all the cleaning was done yesterday. Soooo I might enjoy a movie or two myself.

This week is going to the my first week at a new job - with a non-profit I have wanted to work for - for the longest time. My wish finally came true. I am really looking forward to starting this new part of my life. Even though it is "just a job" - it feels like everything has changed. Everything !!

I want to say a big thank you to all that participate in this thread. It is always refreshing and up lifting to hear about good things!
Tomorrow is open house at Red's school. Our day is going to be filled with finalizing her room so all of the new 5th graders will be ready to learn. Classes start Wednesday for the kids and as always Red is always excited to see 26 new shiny faces. LOL.

We met Wynton Marsalis by total accident in New Orleans one year. He walked into Emeril Lagasse restaurant and set right next to us at the bar. Pretty cool guy. This is Red's favorite show and she has the song on her phone as a ringtone..LOL

It couldn't be easier if I tried. I went to bed very late so I woke very late. It was about a quarter to 10 and now I'm enjoying a big breakfast. The afternoon, unfortunately, will include work but at least it's a short day.

Life is back to normal. Red just finished the first week of being back in the classroom teaching 75 little 10 year olds. Morning routines are in full swing. The pups are not to happy having to get up and about early but they do like the extra treat they get.

Had a little scare this last week. A lovely man who just got out of prison decided to break into our cars and the neighbors shed. The bright well rounded individual left a wonderful bag of goodies consisting of others id's, credit cards, check books etc. and his own wallet. He is out on bail and I can't wait to see him in court next month.

I wound up going to be in the wee hours of the morning, thus decreasing the chances of me getting up early to work out and further thusly decreasing the chances of me getting up early to work out when I set my alarm for 2.5 hours later than I normally would.

Tiny Dog and I went walkies and were greeted by a beautiful almost-fall-kinda day. When we got back, I switched out the summery sunflower welcome plaque on my front door to an owl made from reclaimed, painted tin with blue glass eyes anchored on with coiled wire.

Tiny Dog is getting a bath today. Then I'm going to do some deep cleaning in the kitchen. This evening, I am re-watching Mr. Robot; I'm about halfway through season one. I don't usually re-watch shows, but there's so much going on in this one that I'm sure there's stuff I missed the first time. And at 9pm, it's time for Fear The Walking Dead!

I think we'll be having breakfast for supper - bacon and eggs - since I didn't get myself in gear this morning in time to have any.

I am wide awake and dressed at the ridiculously early hour of 9:30am on this fine Sunday.

I think I will do some work in the yard today so I can enjoy the beautiful weather before it starts to rain later. I need to make a quick run to Lowe's for some pansies to plant around the mailbox and some mulch. I'm getting a can of spray paint too, so I can perk up my mailbox. :rrose:

I've got indoor chores to do too, but I don't want to waste the beautiful day doing that kind of stuff.

Woke up to thunder, rain and the doxies howling, so yes the trio got to come and get in bed with us. :-).
Laundry is going, crockpot is loaded with country pork ribs, onions and sweet potatoes.

Reflexology at noon today then it is back home to get ready for the work week.

Fall is here next week and I am so excited for cooler weather!

Sadie woke up very early and did not go back to sleep like she usually does. Instead she thought it would be fun lay her head on my face...at 2 am! I would move her and she would wait until I was asleep and do the same thing again. Well she never wakes me up unless she needs to go out, so of course I ended up taking her outside and then I couldn't go back to sleep. Sadie however, curled up and was soon fast asleep again. :dozey:

The rest of my Sunday has been spent watching detective shows and working on a new triaxial weave that I am doing on the handle of a throwing tomahawk. I like it. :) At some point I intend to do some writing and I may even do some housework.

Lot's going on today. The sun is shining, the air is cool and the Groovefest is here. It is a wonderful little concert in town that hosts a magic mix of really cool music and it's all for equal rights around the world. Doesn't start until noon so I have my laundry going, just put fixings for white chicken chili in the crock pot and now I can sit back drink some coffee and take in the quietness until Red and the pups get out of bed.

It is a very windy day here with bouts of torrential downpours thanks to outer bands of Joaquin, so the majority of the day has been spent inside. I did make it outside to do the Fall cut back on my Moringa tree and get the branches out to the roadside for trash pickup tomorrow. I also worked a bit on this new weave I am trying to learn to tie. In the early afternoon, Sadie and I had a wonderful nap and now I am watching "Mad Max Beyond the Thunderdome" and goofing off online.

I did one small thing at work and now I'm contemplating breakfast. I have the day off and it's looking like a craft and movie day.

Last Sunday 92, this Sunday 59. Sweeeeet, I'm ready to break out the sweaters and jackets. The fall is my favorite time of the year. I love the smells of the upcoming holidays. Pumpkin spice, mulled cider, apple pies baking, I love them all.

It is "cooler" here as well. BUT still in 80's days.

House is all opened up, sliders to patio/pool area open with a gentle breeze through.

Honey is sewing on our quilt she is making for our loveseat! It is turning out great! But then, all of her quilts are so beautiful! Anyone who gets one as a gift is really blessed!

Sun is out...birds are twittering away....just beautiful day all around!

Woke up extra early to get dropped off at my office so I could pick up the car I left on Friday evening. Wifey is finishing up sermon/service #1 of the day and I am home getting ready to go to my parent's for laundry, crafting, and a trip to see my 95-year old Grammy at the dementia care facility.

Breakfast consisted of vegetarian "bacon," a sourdough English muffin, and coffee.

I could use a morning snooze.

Definitely an easy Sunday morning.

A Sunday off but not necessarily easy. Any day I set the alarm is not 'easy' in my book. I worked out, went to the bank and grocery store, home for breakfast and a shower and then to the adoption fundraiser and Sam's Club and Savers to drop off a toy and small bag of donations and then I popped in the theatre to see when Goosebumps was playing, bought a ticket, went home for lunch and to visit with a coworker briefly, went to see the movie, came home to do some chores, have dinner and catch up from the weekend's DVRing. It's far from morning now, but now it's easier. lol

What an awesome Sunday I had!

I stayed in bed til 8...which I never do...got up and cleaned the kitchen (I have to clean before I cook...its an OCD thing) and made awesome French press coffee and Pumpkin pancakes!

I went and got me a Sunday paper, drank my coffee and played silly games on Facebook...

Then I got some cleaning done before the magical hour of 1pm. GAME TIME!!!

I made pizza at halftime and brownies once the pizza was out...

Now a little more cleaning and laundry to put away before I settle down with a book and then some Netflix..

Happy Sunday, y'all. It's goooood to have an extra hour this morning. I'm going into work, but it will be easy. I'll take a mid morning break and will go to one of my favorite restaurants (Swami's) for scrambled eggs and a croissant, then back to work. I'll do a Trader Joe's run and watch a movie. Not driving on the freeway this weekend, there will be time for that in a week or so. Life could be worse.

I have a super busy day tomorrow and it is 90° outside once again, so I will just relax and do a bit of tinkering around the house today. So far, I've managed to oil the hinges on the doors. Now the squeaks are gone, I sort of liked them, but I knew it wasn't good for the hinges. Recaulked the bathroom sink and tub, and thinking about putting up new weather stripping around the front and back doors, but I sat down instead. Sadie got tired of following me around and she is stretched out on her bed sound asleep. I think I will have some coffee now. :sunglass:

happy sunday! i have been back to work for 4 days after a week off...finishing up all the "nesting" for winter and winterizing... i still have to get an oil change and or check tires, oil and anti freeze, and i have to mulch the flower beds...not sure when this will get done i am hoping i still have time...because today i went to the grocery store and dont want to do anything but watch cupcake wars...have a great week! :)

Happy Sunday everyone! I actually made it out of bed in time to have something to report about Sunday morning other than sleep. I woke up at 5 a.m. thinking about stuff and realized I needed to see a friend that I haven't seen in a few weeks. She's up at night/early morning, so I texted her and we planned to meet at 10 a.m. I then had breakfast #1 of the day (sausage biscuit), because I couldn't get back to sleep. When I met her, I had breakfast #2 of the day (waffle, sausage, eggs, grits). This definitely isn't a habit, just a matter of timing - double breakfasts are extremely rare. Now it's 7 p.m. and I'm still not hungry.

Anyway, had a great time with my friend. We spent some time driving around in the lovely fall weather. It was sunny and beautiful, not too warm and not too cold, and we still have some beautiful leaves.

Going out for a bit...again...to a local sleepy little fisherman's village of quaint little shops...there are some really cool shops there. Is a yearly tradition for us now. Was there yesterday...need to return/exchange some Crocs I got for myself.

Once again I did not make it out of bed in time to wish everyone good morning, but I did enjoy sleeping in. The :cat: enjoyed it too.

Will spend today doing a few chores - I need to make a quick trip to the grocery store. I'll whip up some olive salad so it has time to marinate before I make muffalettas this Wednesday for guests on Thursday. I also need to rearrange my week, because I got my wires crossed and double booked Thursday morning.

Other than that, it is a bit gloomy outside but warm and I will spend some time with the :dogwalking:.

I'm sick too, cricket. I will be having some chicken soup as well today, and trying to maximize the optimal balance of cold drugs that prevents the worst of the misery.

I plan to keep the couch warm with the :dog: and :cat: and binge watch _The Man In The High Castle_. Also, I'm going to frost the yellow cake I made last night with chocolate frosting, and eat it! It's a very small cake, 6" diameter. It's an indulgence, but cake is the only thing I want to eat when I'm sick. If I'm still this sick tomorrow, I might make cran-orange muffins.

If I feel better later, I might work on a craft project.

It's been a good morning. I woke at 4:43 and said NO. It's kind of an overcast Sunday here, and it's so warm outside that I have the a/c on inside. For everyone who's having really bad weather, I hope it stops soon.

For breakfast today we had egg and Christmas ham sandwiches on toast, and Christmas cookies with coffee. Other than filling out some insurance paperwork, I have no duties today, and I plan to spend most of it sitting on the couch watching movies.

Those Christmas goodies keep calling to me from the kitchen. There is still a batch of sugar cookie dough in the refrigerator that I haven't even baked yet. I would just throw it out, except they are so much fun to do and so pretty - they're painted cookies. So we will paint and bake them today, and they can go to the New Year's Eve party later this week.

Hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday season. Red and I have really enjoyed the time off.
We never make in resolutions other than to move forward holding on to the good things and letting go of the bad.
I am thankful that the bad was very limited in 2015 and all the challenges were easy to overcome.
Tomorrow we both hit the ground running, working to make 2016 the best year ever. I am always excited about what lies ahead and look forward to the opportunities the new year will bring.

2015 was really good to us in so many ways. We have our health, a roof overhead, and food. We enjoyed so many wonderful new things we haven't done before, made many new friends.

Today the sky resembles more of a Michigan sky rather than a Florida sky. Not a drop of rain and none is forecast, but it seems as though the sun has decided to take Sunday off.
I have both dehydrators filled with spinach with more to dry after this load finishes. Meanwhile, it is Sadie's (my fur child) birthday and I am going to go spend some play time with her and cook something special for her dinner, after which I will settle in with a movie.

Good weather here today......had brunch with my sisters of the rainbow spectrum...:). I always have such an amazing time with these ladies.

Ran some errands, took some dogfood (bag & cans) to the animal shelterfor the babies there.

Spent afternoon just lazing around...sat out by pool...painted some....ahhh...salt life!

Going out to the quilt fabric store with my honey in a while..she is making another quilt for her BFF!

It is super windy & chilly here today. Overnight we had some really nasty storms hit above, below, and upon us. North got hammered with 4 tornadoes, south got re hammered with severe weather...they have had two tornadoes in less than a week...we escaped those this time....whewww....praying for those up in Tampa & Sarasota County!!

The skies are sunny and blue here too, and it's 48* outside. Almost all of our pretty dusting of snow has melted, and it will probably be completely gone by this evening.

Doing laundry and cleaning the kitchen today. I'll be finishing up _Nurse Jackie_ - only 3 episodes left. Kinda sad, because this has been such a great show, but also because I know it can only end badly. The writers have been very up front for all 7 seasons, and I just know Jackie will come to a bad end, however much I may wish for her to make a turnaround and get everything right in the end. Tonight I'll need to find a new show to binge watch.

Wow, it's almost 4:30pm? I guess I miss Ed the Sunday morning Overeasy by a few hours, huh? I spent all morning shoveling snow! I realized by noon that I would never get my big driveway done by myself and even if I did, I still could not make it down the looooong gravel lane to get out on the main road:confused: So I had to break down and pay the farmer $150 to plow the lane and my driveway so I could get out. I swear as soon as I pay off my car, I'm trading it for a 4 wheel drive vehicle!!!!!! LOL! I was under the impression when we bought this land back here that everyone chipped in and paid the farmer to plow the long lane? That is what they told me. But today they said "Oh we have 4 wheel drive, we don't need to pay him to come". Well we DONT and I have to be to work tomorrow, plus with my spouse disabled I have to be able to get out to take her to all her doc appts, therapy, etc.Oh well, I'm thankful I had the money on hand and I was able to get out today.

Scrapple is basically PIG PARTS. After slaughtering the pig and cutting up the parts, the stuff that is left, the ears, the tail, basicallybwhatever is left that can't be used. They take the left overs and grind it up, then mix it with cornmeal and spices and form it into big blocks. U then fry till crispy and enjoy!!!!! Scrapple is an acquired taste, for sure! I hated it as a kid but love it now. It has a lot of carbs so I'm careful to only have a small piece since I'm back on lowcarb.

It is a beautiful day here, it is 64* out and a little cloudy. I spent some time outside when I took the dog out. Otherwise, today is a double-dose of Aleve day, when I will mostly spend the day flat on my back in bed. Yesterday was fairly strenuous, and left my back in bad shape.

I'll spend some time today watching Nurse Jackie. (I started over at episode 1 again, after receiving a recommendation to do so after I had finished the last episode. It's eye opening to see it again after having seen what follows. I only intended to watch episode 1 again, but I have kept watching it, because it's so good.) I'm also binge watching The Newsroom.

I have to pay some bills, too, but that's going to be it for today. Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Spring break for Red! I only have a weeks vacation this year so we are taking mini trips. Going to Memphis in May, then a few instate long weekends. I love the extra light, love being outside. One more freeze on the way then it's hands in the dirt.

Happy Sunday! I went grocery shopping on an empty stomach, bought stuff I don't usually buy (pork chops, corned beef brisket, freshly baked rye bread), but it's all good :).

Right now I'm folding clothes, watching Tamron Hall and the talking heads, drinking water, and wondering what to eat for breakfast.

I might do my taxes and I might not. Not driving on the freeway this weekend, just playing it cool.
