When my daughter was little I always made a "first day of school" cake. It was fun to celebrate the new school year. Also when I was little my mom took weekly cake decorating lessons. Every week we kids would enjoy her "lesson". My fav was the Barbie cake, which my two brothers balked at but ate anyway!

Mandy doesn't eat egg yolks or dairy. Anyone have any baking recipes that are vegan?

Not a vegan recipe...but... you can substitite a can of soda for the other ingredients that a box cake mix call for... My favorite is a can of cranberry sierra mist/yellow cake mix...yum Don't get hooked on it tho...they only sell cranberry seirra mist for so long every year...lol  *tip hat*

So you follow the regular baking directions but just use cake mix and soda? That sounds goodddd!

How could I have gone this long in life without knowing this? The combo ideas are endless!
