This goofy company I was going to work for having me drive 1.5 hours for training only to do a 1.5 hour training session. If it was worth while no problem, but literally all I did was listen to some F'ing dou%%e bag use acronyms like JUICE (Join Us In Creating Enthusiasm) and watch another Hemorrhoid write sentences on the board rather than write simple notes and outlines to summarize. I think I developed a tremor and twitch from watching this guy take the whole time writing out every single word he was thinking. Les Miserables would have taken less time to jot down on marker board!!!!:brainsucker:

It is ok to be pissed at the world. However, I don't like when my friends consider themselves failures - ESPECIALLY when it comes to parenting special needs children.

You DID not FAIL anything. Parenting isn't a pass or fail as long as your child has grown into adulthood without you having caused irreparable harm to him. Period. You and I both know that our children will be in therapy, blaming us for the state of their lives, no matter our efforts. Its ok.

You should be proud of singly parenting a child with the challenges of your son. I know firsthand, on a daily basis, just how difficult a task this can be and you need to remember that as parents, we do the best we can. Period. Once the child reaches adulthood, its up to him.

To be brief. Be KIND to yourself.

I'm home and the phone is on if you need to talk. Even at 2am - but you know that.

By the way, if life were easy, I'm pretty sure we wouldn't appreciate the simpler joys. I, for one, wouldn't.

Taco Hell - my total was $5.03, I gave you 10.05. You start counting out a bunch of damn change at which point I say "I gave you $10.05 'cause I don't want a bunch of change." So you nicely appologize and proceed to just hand me the four dollar bills. At which point I say "It should be $5.02". This should not take you two more attempts and calling your manager over. It's 2nd grade math idiot!

Then I still manage to get to school fifteen minutes early, but circle the parking lot for 10 minutes, with other cars pulling into spots just ahead of me as I round the corner. And finally end up getting a spot on the last freakin' row. Making me 5 minutes late to class because the walk from there is TEN MINUTES!!!!!!!

I'm sick. I've been sick all week. I didn't work last night because of it.

My coworker called today and asked if I was coming in tonight. I told her I was going to try. She said for me to call her if I didn't feel like coming or if I needed to leave once I got here. Well, being lulled into thinking I could work (after not doing much today), and then realizing how freaking exhausted I was (just from showering, dressing and driving to work), I called this co-worker back and told her I would work half the shift if she would please come in and cover the other half. She said she was running errands and would call me back shortly. Hours later (I'm on a 15hr shift) she calls back and says she just isn't "prepared" to come in tonight, because she really wants to stay home. After a slight pause and a few more yada yada comments she says (in a haughty voice) "is that ok with you?" Feeling like refried death and not in the best mood, I reply with haughty voice and say "yeah, that's perfectly fine, don't worry about it" and hung up.

Now HERE is the problem I have with this... For one, she worked for me last night and knew she may have to work tonight. Second, I gave her HOURS of advance notice. Most importantly, the one single, sole, solitary, ONLY friggin reason this person was hired is to be an alternate and only works in situations like this when someone is sick or if something comes up. So, really...wtf... If you are hired for one purpose and one purpose only, and then you "really wanna stay home", then what was the friggin point in accepting the job in the first place???

I haven't been on a whole lot the last week or so and not watching my usual news shows - had company and was off a few days camping. So, tonight zi read about another young gay man that took his life that has been bullied by other school kids. I'm pissed, but much, more in terms of a growing sadness about these cases. Mainly, my anger is at both school districts as well as parents that either put up with this (or dismiss bullying) or just plain have their heads up their butts about the seriousness of it. Recently, I have been thinking about during this time and what is going on, would I have taken my own son out of public school and home schooled him. Sure, kids can be cruel, but this is NOT even close to anything that is acceptable.

I am thinking that perhaps this needs to go as far as making school officials personally liable- as in criminally negligent- if they do not deal with bullying. All school districts should have teacher and administrative in-service training about bullying as well as workshops for parents (including identifying your own child as a bully). And parents that don't do something about their bullying kids ought to be liable criminally as well. And bring on the civil suits for wrongful death!!

Parents need to know the signs of bullying going beyond "kid cruelty" (fergoddessakes, could we define the damn difference!) and know they have support and some teeth behind them that will protect their kids.

It just seems like no one gives a damn about how this behavior is out of control and needs to be stopped!

ALH, I could not agree with you more!!!! and lets not forget about teachers as well. ABCnews did a special one week ago about bullying and the one teacher interviewed admitted that she has seen bullying but was unsure what she could do about it. Back in my day a teacher would have grabbed the ear lobe of the bully and carted them off to the prinicipal's office. Now a days that would be considered inappropriate and the teacher would be disciplined. But there are things that the school staff can and should do up to an including the Board of Schools! Time is awasting while lives are being lost!!!

What pissed me off today? Better question might be what didnt piss me off.

1. I got a sock caught in the door of the washer and didnt see it. The rushing water covering the floor was my first clue.

2. There is something wrong with the steering on my car. I see the expenditure of big bucks in my immediate future.

3. The surgeons office called to tell me they couldnt schedule my surgery for Monday because according to their chart, I already had it. It was a candid camera moment to be sure.

4. The little munchkin downstairs, who used to be so cute and quiet, has now discovered his voice and feet. He likes to run up and down the hallway, screaming at the top of his lungs, and slamming doors for effect. I'm buying him duct tape for xmas.

5. I decided to calm my nerves with a relaxing free cup of coffee courtesy of dunkin donuts. Of course, I arrived at the store right after Officer Joe who was buying coffee and sandwiches for the entire freakin police force.

Thanks but touch up paint won't work. The spots have to be smoothed out and when I get the funds for it some time down the road, the whole car will have to be painted. My girl is a 2003, so those aren't the only scratches and marks on her. She'll be fine until we have the funds to have all of the marks cleaned up. It's just the principle of the matter.

I'm not pissed, but very...VERY...concerned. I just started working here and now my manager is leaving for a better paying and more enjoyable job. Though I fully understand and support her decision, we have a good relationship. Part of what I liked about this job was her and the fact we clicked right away. Ebon and I are nearly set to move into a new apartment very close to my work and now I have no idea whether I'm going to like or hate my new manager, once they've found one to replace mine. In the interim, I could potentially have a new boss each and every single day until that happens. :(

Some comfort for you Bo, AZ state legislature has passed a law that prohibits protests 1 hour before and 1 hour after a funeral. The protesters are restricted to 100 yards from any funeral. Brewer needs to sign it, she just might.

My friend's mother passed away two weeks ago, settling the estate has been less than pleasant, because she worked for her mother she's losing a job she's had for twenty-five years, and today she had to put her favorite cat to sleep. Today i went to a patient's house and there were these chickens in her yard. I noticed one was kinda looking at me but i paid no attention really. I had to enter from the back porch so i walked across the yard and this freaking psycho chicken threw it's arms up in the air and started screaming at me and then charged me. There was another one beside it that followed it's lead.

I freaked!!!!! I went flying up on the porch and almost busted that woman's door down trying to get inside.

She said she had had or been around chickens her entire life and had never seen anyone attacked by them.

It hurt my feelings so much it made me cry. I left out the front door.

At work today one of the office people I work with and one of the elders had the elder's son who is an old time tent preacher who spits out hell fire and damnation to anyone or thing not in his narrow view of the world come to the center and preach his religion till it was a rant about if the world dosent live up to his standard of life we dont have the right to be on the earth...u will burn in hell fire and damnation so he said looking right at me and said I wasnt liveing right cause of my life choices.He looked at me and I did the same at him...I did not blink...not even once.Then he turned and walked away.The staff wasnt given an notice of his being there.I reported this to my agentcy and I was told that we are a goverment subsidary and its employees arent suposed to be subjected to this sort of thing.I just spoke to my big boss and now I have to option to not go to work that day or just work till he comes in and sets up.I hate to lose any pay over this but I have my rights as much as he dose.BUT I also have the right to NOT have to be subjected to someones hate and bigatry.This may seam petty to some but its not to me.

and I have to have two more hernias done as well

and the shit head pulmonologist I went to, doesnt want to treat my sleep apnea. No. He wants to disregard the fact that I am not getting oxygen to my brain which is causing me to have seizures which is causing me to have hallucinations. What he wants to do is give me klonopin. Yes. Lets treat a symptom.

And when I asked him to read me the results of the sleep study I was informed he would tell me what I needed to know.

And he also informed me I no longer needed to take the medicines my psychiatrist was prescribing to me because he could treat my fibromyalgia more effectively better than the psychiatrist could.

It taking 7 hours to get a perscription for some happy pills, on 3 hours of sleep.

and my friend officially died today. she got into an accident on monday and slowly slipped away all week. She was only 22 and suffered far too much.

My job is locating in the semi-boonies, so the only water source for the entire property and for the manager's apartment comes from an outside tank. The tank froze solid a few days ago, so we've not had water either. It's not so bad for me, as I can go home to water, but the associate manager that lives in the apartment has had to get very creative with showering this week. :blink:

We actually had to walk down to the creek and haul water to be heated on a wood burning stove...

The first wouldn't shut up and kept me on the phone for over an hour for something that could have taken two minutes to cover and the other for continually calling over and over and over again but not leaving a message when the machine kicked on. SIX hang ups from her alone. At the end of my day, I had a splitting headache and was quite the crabby one. Luckily, Ebon's used to it. :blink:
