It's almost the end of my day, sort of, but I washed and dried a small load of laundry, the dishwasher just stopped -so now the dishes are done. I'm going to have some supper soon (salad & roasted spiral slices of ham), but I've got my legs propped up and I'm just resting, reading posts on the boards and waiting for the advil I took to kick in (I hurt my knee, riding my bicycle too much, booooooo). So nice to rest and do pretty much nothing, today. :blush:

Go to the doc's in the morning! Due to gravity's pull throughout the day, we can lose up to an inch every day but you're tallest when you get up in the morning so go then.

I blame genetics for my own height issues. My father is 5'11" and my mother was 5'4", so it would be logical to assume I'd be between the two, right? NOPE! Genetics threw me a curve ball and I'm 5'1.5" because my mother's fraternal twin sister is 4'11".

Now that's some shit. Blew my mind when I started learning about genetics in my biology classes. Everything made sense then!

Having coffee and preparing for my very first day of orientation at the new job. It's been 8 years since I started a new job and I'm feeling real nervous. Maybe because of my age? A lot of the cna's are so much younger. But I'm looking forward to working for a big, not for profit nursing home that really cares for the elderly residents. Sitting here smiling because I just spent 30 minutes plunging and treating a "clogged" bathtub only to discover that it actually wasn't clogged. It was only when I decided to unscrew the lever stopper to see if it was the problem that I realized the true problem...there was no clog. Somehow the lift lever was dropped into the closed position. I refuse to call myself an idiot, so I will just sit here and smile, thankful that the drain is super clean now! :)

12 days ago I came home from a relaxing vacation only to slay the dragons at work! Play catch up, attend a meeting across town, put up holiday decorations, a holiday floor set, throw in prep for yet another visit ( I nailed it), interviewing and hired a new associate, and coaching my co-Mgr-now-has-her-own-store for her visit, finally had a day off yesterday to do my stuff!

Because I have put in soooo many hours, I gave myself the morning off.

I should have just gone to the library like I usually do, but I wanted a nap, lol. I'm at 25% now. Oh well, they don't give out A pluses so I have plenty of wiggle room. Pffft, if I can't get the plus it's like why even stress about it?

I found four sweaters, one sparkly Christmas sweater, and a zip sweater jacket to send back to her today.
