I'm sitting on my back patio, looking at my veggie garden. It's so nice out here. The afternoon breeze, the pin wheel spinning on the tomato plant and watching the pretty spring green leaves on the big 'ol oak tree wave. I can hear the storks a yacking out in the distance. Least I forget where I am, a plane coming in for landing up above. Little miss Holly sitting in the chair next to me.

This is really really relaxing.

It’s been a very busy day: cardiology @ o-dark-thirty, early morning appt, then home to take a nap, then tag team phone calls to set up urgent cardiology tests…. Which being told “No Ma’am, we can’t get you in until next year unless your doctor re-writes the order for echo cardiogram as urgent”,,,, so to come down from high anxiety over getting my echo cardiogram by early August, I went looking for musical support. :tease:

I finished getting dressed for my work day (wearing: black gaucho trousers under a dark burgundy rose print long sleeved dress — that I bought several years ago from a woman owned business that no longer exists :( ) and changed my nail polish color to burnt summer orange-red.

I’m just sitting in my huge mama bear cave chair, relaxing before I go to work.

ETA: I sure hope my college baseball team wins today in the collegiate World Series baseball playoffs held in Omaha, Nebraska. Gooooo Beavers!!!!

I’m baking off miniature Bundt cupcakes (pineapple pistachio cake) and baking off three miniature loafs. Once they cool, I’m going to brush a light vanilla icing mixture over the tops of them all, then by morning — I’ll wrap them up separately to give a gifts to a few of my friends.

Right after I taste test one of them to be sure they pass the yummy factor. :giggle:

I'm procrastinating for a few. I have a mound of policies and procedures to write for work. We got a hefty shakedown on Tuesday. We have to re-do a whole bunch policy contracts that impact a massive affordable housing expansion plan we have starting in a few months. Pretty much the rest of my directing team is on vacation. So I'm doing my best to have drafts to present on Monday for them to get going on it. I'm in over my head but am doing my best.

Oh, how I hate setting up a new phone! I don't understand why so many people replace theirs after only 18 months. Once I get mine set the way I want it, I keep that phone until something breaks, no matter how out of date it gets.

I'm sitting under my carport, drinking wine, it's about 80° and hardly any humidity. There is a beautiful Breeze coming off the ocean. I've been sitting here and listening to '80s music reminiscing. Painting away. I'm working on my yard decorations for Halloween ,Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Oh, and a duck just waddled by, how cute.

There is no storm a brewing, which means no hurricane out in the Gulf or out there coming my way. I don't want to jinx it, but we've been good so far this year. I'm going to have to say it's Another Day in Paradise.

I'm listening to Marketplace on NPR, and I'm babying my mouth. I finally got that cracked tooth extracted on Wednesday. It came out in several pieces, but it only took about 20 minutes and it wasn't too bad. They were very generous with the gas and local anesthetic. They were very nice. My only complaint was that the oral surgeon was fond of 70s elevator music; I spent the rest of the day with Todd Rundgren singing over and over in my head - and if that was my only problem, then I don't really have a problem.

I have antibiotics, pain medication, prescription toothpaste, mouth rinse (six times a day - I'm having trouble getting all those in), and liquid lidocaine for my swollen tongue left over from the thrush. I have slow melting tablets to put between my cheek and gum for dry mouth. I can't use my bite guard because my gum is so swollen it no longer fits, so I'm using a rolled up wad of gauze on the opposite side of my mouth to clench my teeth on during sleep. (I'm not really supposed to do this, but I don't want to crack any more teeth.) And, I have an ice pack to put on my swollen cheek for 20 minutes at a time.

So far today I've eaten two rice pudding cups and two croissants, and that took about two hours. So when I say I'm babying my mouth, I really do mean that's about all I have time for. I go back on Wednesday for a checkup and to get my stitches out.

Still working on setting up things on my new computer + added things. One huge battery that my neighbour suggested that gets rid of all the wires and plugs that I thought I needed to hook things up. This $100. gadget takes all the plugs and stores the computer in open if a power surge occurs for 20 min. It is good to have all the plugs and wires gone from behind the screen. I also have an external cd player, recorder plugged into the computer as there is no longer one internally in the computer. I will figure it all out in the end, I hope.

I’ve been sewing dresses for my beautiful granddaughter who will be 3yrs old by Labor Day Weekend (September:hk28: )… but I stepped away by late afternoon to go have dinner with family : everything was so tasty, even the slice of homemade Lemon Drop Cheesecake with freshly whipped cream topping. I suppose I should retire to bed early and get some much needed rest (sleeeeeeep). :balloon:

I’m finishing up with dinner: had a small plate of 50/50 salad greens by Organic Girl, dressed up with some sliced zucchini, Bella mushrooms, and a quarter slice of Roasted Spicy Tofu cut up into smaller bites, a few dates and I drizzled Tahini over it. Very filling and tasty. ETS, spicy black beans too.

Like every night, since the first time it began to gel in my mind, I’m savoring the way the Iranian government officials actually recognize that they are dealing with a very sick and twisted minded person who is destroying our country. Not only are they brilliant in the field of mathematics, language and science based studies, but they recognize the cruelty and sadism that is pervasive in that persons mind.

I’ve been up for awhile this morning, and I’m savoring all the many ways the general public (no matter what country you live in or what state sponsored teevee propaganda channel you happen to tune into :tinfoil: ) is learning about The Who’s who of too much $$ & time on their hands who are trying to hide the way they are cashing in on Captain Crazy Fucker in the WH: example no. 1 — Eli Lilly with their unproven ‘experimental’ drug to keep that criminal alive so they can keep their load of golden calve cash stored in locations across the world and never do the right thing in our country.

Yeah. Not only are people getting a phd in narcissism and frontal temporal dementia and cardiology concerns, but we get TONS of new ways we can cut the evil doers off at the pass. No more buying Eli Lilly products. No more watching the billionaire class teevee stations, no more (x, y, z …).
