I am sitting here sipping on an ice tea with lots of lemon and ice. I am a happy camper today. I GOT MY HAIRCUT in a backstreet barber for only $20. Most are charging 35-65 cause they are taking a chance on getting fined if caught. It has been hell here since Dec. wanting this cut and its cutttttt. Happy Butch.

I am looking at the jewelry that I brought home with Me today that was My Mom's My sister and I went through My Mom's jewelry box. Talk about emotional. There were earrings, pins, necklaces, bracelets, brooches, - all sorts of pieces - some that Myself and My siblings gave her over the years - some that was My grandmother's (her Mom's). I swear when I look at these pieces I can remember when I purchased it - what it was for (holiday or just to say I love you).

I reminds Me of those shows where you see someone touch another article of clothing or a piece of their jewelry, etc. and they can feel the memories from that item rushing through them. That is how My sister and I felt today.

So right now I am just sitting here feeling all of that emotion - and smiling - and feeling so blessed to have the family I have - even when there have been moments of being driven crazy by their actions and I am sure they would say vice versa.

Oh and I am always trying to decide what to have for dinner - whatever it is I will have to go out get it or get stuff to make it. It is 5pm so I should probably at least get a rough idea going.

It is almost 7 a.m. just got up from a fairly good nights sleep (finally). Having my breakfast of a carrot muffin and coffee. Cloudy and cool at the moment. Just finished watching news.

Well, given I did not sleep well last night and to add to that insult- I woke up at 3:30am and could not go back to sleep. So - I decided to get My place cleaned - swept and mopped, did dishes, laundry is in the dryer, put in My grocery delivery order and it is only 8:14am. (laughing).

I just had a thought pop into My head - I now realize why I can get stuff done in a snap at home - but at work - things do not go that path. It is simply because we rely on too many other people in that chain to do their part to make sure the project gets completed and on time. Here - at home - at 3:30am I am pretty limited as to who I have to rely on - and depending on the situation - that is a good thing.

Right now, there's a load of linens in the wash, the cats have been fed and are tearing the place up zooming around and I'm contemplating breakfast.

Sipping ice tea, loving that feeling of something cool after a dental appointment. J forgot to cancel at the college and I didn't want the student left hanging. A cleaning there is inexpensive and why not make life a little easier when I go in for my appointment with the hygienist at my dentist's latter this month. It didn't happen often to me in clinical but when it did grrr. I didn't do dental but I imagine it's the same for anyone needing to get their check offs - supremely inconvenient!

I was fortunate. The students were a week from graduation. Mine had been an assistant for over 20 years before deciding, after her sons were on their own, it's my turn now. So she was flawless, enough so that J and I did lunch immediately after. Anyhow skying down from that, getting ready to do some online shopping and working on some sugar free Jello J made me, 2 kinds and some sort of don't know what it is whip cream filling but it tastes good to use on both. So working on typing this in between bites of that. :D

The weather is supposed to warm up to 38 degrees today so I will wait another hour to go out and plow. Hopefully it will clean up pretty good and not turn into an icy mess.

10 days go by and I’m so much sicker and the pearls aren’t doing anything. I’m coughing so bad I’m bruising my ribs. So I go to urgent care.

Urgent care gave me antibiotics and some light steroids and X-rays and said I have walking pneumonia. They said if I begin to feel dizzy when I’m coughing, my lips are blue I need to go to ER

So yesterday, after several days of being lightheaded and almost passing out as I’m going through coughing spasms and my family watches the color on my face change completely, my daughter talked me into going to ER. But instead of going to the local one we drive an hour and a half to Cleveland clinic ER. (there’s a minimum five hour wait in the lobby at one ER in Youngstown, and the other ER says it’s a two day wait)

Cleveland clinic has us registered in a room in literally less than 10 minutes. They were very thorough and I could not believe how courteous and friendly everybody was! After breathing treatments, X-rays, meds and new prescriptions, I get to go home.

Today I have very limited coughing! And when I do, I’m only lightly getting dizzy.

So what am I doing right now? I’m watching Water boil metaphorically.

Thinking back on times I took my mom out for ice coffee and remembering her enjoying it so much just to be out and about. My brother and I took her out on her birthdays after our father passed. Those were the easy days, the kind days, the better days. I almost envy those who have time left with a parent, they are blessed.

I’m hosting a birthday party for my youngest granddaughter. She is turning seven years old this year! Pizza for the kids, barbecued spareribs for the adults. She wanted nightmare before Christmas headphones and that’s what she got!

I'm on day number two staying home from work. Last Friday I took a tumble. Boss's dog pulled me one way and knocked me to the ground. I landed in sand/grass. I either cracked a rib or bruised it. Hurts to breathe and move in a turning way. I think I really over did it on Monday, at work. My job is really physical
So today, its heating pad. Doing a really good job not to snack all day. Bingeing on cooking shows, survivor and crafting.

I'm sitting at the car dealership getting an oil change. I've had so much joy in my life today, I'm smiling huge.

First, I had lunch with my lunch buddy. Last week I brought her some huge strawberries. So we started talking about our favorite fruits and ones we have never had. Dragon fruit came up. Neither one of us had ever had it. I told her I would bring a dragon fruit drink next time so we could try it together. I brought Starbuck's. You would have thought it was Christmas morning. It definitely was a treat for her. Turns out, well we decided, it tastes like pear and kiwi. She was so happy, she took her drink back to class. I'm sure she felt special. Such joy for me!

We also talked about poems and how they rhyme. Hit the road Jack came up. Now I have earworm with that. And....my service guy for my car....wait for it...his name is Jack!

I wore a butterfly clip today and only put my hair half up. I stopped at the grocery store before this and it's a very windy day. I needed to put all my hair up. My clip had fallen out. Oh no, I was thinking, I hope it's in my car. And just as I thought that, a butterfly flew past me. Someone sending me a sign??

Hmmmm, a face book memory came up with my Dad. Could be my sign?? Smiling with joy!!!

Today I stayed home, because I’m just barely getting over a virus I’ve had for the past week or so. It felt good to sleep until I wanted to get up. I only left the house to go over to the grocery store for some groceries (some meat, veggies, fruit, herbs, etc). I laid down for a nap and now I’m going to watch a movie (dvd). Might go to sleep again, lol. Tomorrow I might go swimming at the gym. Sit in the jacuzzi for a bit. R & R.

I went on a drive to my favorite countryside coffeehouse to have breakfast for dinner (cheese & jalapeño bagel with egg and real cheese) and a huge venti size herbal tea, before I go to church. I also bought some specialty coffee beans (Santa’s Delight: a sleigh ride of pecan, hazelnut, almond and caramel cream). Can hardly wait to brew a coffee carafe of coffee in the morning.

The drive to the countryside was filled with late evening fog and smoke from people burning wood in their fireplaces. :stillheart:

I just got through making brunch for myself. It’s very tasty. I pan seared some spicy Italian sausage, then added sliced cremini mushrooms, sliced organic carrots, tiny cloves of garlic, then added baby spinach leaves to steam them and release valuable nutrients. Half of an avocado to spread on a slice of pan toasted veggie bread. Clean spring water to drink.

Truth. I've never met someone who has chickens who said they wished they didn't. Apparently 4-6 chickens, in their prime, can lay around 3 dozen eggs a week! I could keep one and barter two weekly!

I figure with the way things are going I better get busy growing and producing as much food as I can. My daughter used to keep bees and we would harvest buckets of honey every fall. Maybe I'll see if she wants to start up again.

Went thru the many totes of yarn my Mom has. She knitted for years. I never learned to knit, she was left handed. I am trying this wave pattern. Two different sand colors and a light aqua to look like water.

Getting ready to watch NCIS: Sydney. Also, just installed a riser on my toilet seat (easier on my knees). I should have done this long ago! It was only about $25 and took me about 20 minutes to uninstall the regular one, clean everything well, and install the riser with the same toilet seat on top.

It's just after 7 AM and I can't get to sleep. I've listened to music, podcasts, and watched TV. I've taken an extra sleeping pill. I have a crick in my back that won't go away. I have excruciating neuralgia and I've taken all the meds I can for those, too. I just took my first two morning pills and I'm about to give up and go back to TV. Then I'll probably get up and have some breakfast, something I hardly ever do, and never this early. Maybe I'll order from Waffle House. I hear they're charging 50 cents extra per egg while the price of eggs is so high. I don't really mind. Mmm, eggs over easy with grits and cream, ham, raisin toast with apple butter, and a pecan waffle - doesn't get much better than that. Oh, and coffee!

I just got home from my day of errands (gym, got my laundry done, dined on lunch outdoors at a beautiful downtown outdoor eatery). I also stopped by my favorite sports store and bought a bunch of brand new vinyl stickers for my car’s back window. I took all the old stickers down and put up brand new baseball stickers. 😁⚾️ :cheer:

I’m home now and put all my clean laundry away and now I’m resting in my big leather momma rocking chair. Got to rest up for my doctor visits tomorrow. LOL (stuff you look forward to after 66). :eyebat:

Feeling a little weighed down by the 3 fresh (regular sized) blueberry muffins I just had. They were a little heavy, so I think I put too many blueberries in them. Mmm, they sure were delicious though. I got up early, so I decided to bake muffins. I also gave Brittany half a banana. (She doesn't like blueberries, although she begs for them. If she gets one, she spits it out and looks at it on the floor like it's something evil.)
