Good Sunday morning everyone!

I awoke to a really beautiful sky & sunshine this AM. 80 today!

Spending morning getting ready to go to an outing with my super cool friends this afternoon. Drag Queen Bingo..at a local burger joint. I am excited.

Think I will have the teriyaki Hawaiian burger with pineapple OR the Cuban sandwich & fried yucca.

Hope everyone has a splendid Sunday AM..over easy...how they are meant to be..

Saturday was such a great day with errands accomplished and spending all afternoon in the garden. I planted my lily of the valley pips and also some bearded iris that had been given to me. Weeded side beds and general winter clean-up. I then cleaned myself up and met a friend for a wonderful dinner and conversation.

Sunday is a bummer. LoL! The rains moved in late Sat. and forecast to remain until sometime Tues. The time change has me a bit sideways for some reason as well. I did a few indoor chores this morning but the elephant in the room is I need to do my taxes. Ugh. This would be the perfect day to do them as it is rainy and ick but I.Don't.Want.To. I'm trying to think of a "reward" I can motivate myself with once I file but I just feel defiant about the entire process. I'm quite sure I'm due a refund so one would think that would be motivation enough. It is not.

Woke up early and did a few chores. Then I drank tea and read some poetry from a new (to me) anthology, which inspired me to buy a short selection of Shelley's poetry on Audible. I listened to that while cooking breakfast and cleaning. I then discovered, to my extreme annoyance, that a supplement I tried to start taking today raises blood sugar. Later, a long phone call with a Michigan friend. It is his youngest son's tenth birthday, which made us both feel old. Now out running errands, and I stopped for a salad. Ok day. Not complaining.

Saturday morning started out stormy and some plans with friends fell through so I absolutely *forced* myself to buckle down and do my taxes. Ugh! But they are done and filed so yay!!! Just as I finished the odious task the thunderstorms stopped so I took that as a sign. Went to the botanical garden which was gorgeous with all manner of bulbs in bloom and bright and sparkling from the morning rain. Blue skies and soft breeze and warm sun, perfection! There was also a bonsai show going on and I rewarded my little tax-filing self with a little bonsai tree. It's a serissa and will bloom with little white flowers...I hope. My track record with bonsai is 0-2 so maybe third time is the charm. If trees have feelings this one is probably nervous.

This afternoon I'm off for a sushi lunch then have tickets to the musical "A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder". At some point today some grocery shopping needs to happen. Weekends are just waaaaay too short!

After a difficult week, we decided to head to Ptown for the day. Brunch at Fanizzi's. (https://fanizzisrestaurant.com/) Checked out the town and the coast. Found the loose fishing boat that is still embedded in the jetty. Checked out a few shops that are open year around. Was a nice quiet relaxing day. A little sun and less wind would have been nice too.

Now it is pj time and finish watching season 1 of The Good Fight.

Got up read newpaper,drank mocha. Hit the road at 930 am heading east to Spokane Washington [5 hour drive] where i will be at the Davenport Hotel with the firefighters till friday morning. Heading to a exec board meeting with the Wash State Council of Firefighters.

Let's see....I got up, fed the babies, got ready, had a banana, went to the gym and worked out, came home and had breakfast, showered and washed my hair and thought about chopping it all off like I do every time I wash it, started a load of laundry, watched some TV and played online. It was around noon and no longer morning at that point.

I have managed not to injure myself this afternoon, so the night is mellow and I am relatively pain free.

I went on a work retreat this weekend so Sunday was waking up in a cabin with my executive director, both of us a little bit hungover. :blink: There were showers and coffee with the crew, cleaning up the place we were staying at, reading the morning news together, and then I went another hour down state to catch the end of a slumber party one of my girlfriends was having for her birthday. I had breakfast with them there. So it was a hustle bustle Sunday morning but fun and different from the norm for sure!

We had a really good Sunday.....

we stayed in bed til 10am....unheard of for us! Then got up to bring my honey's grown son to a birthday party. (no, he doesn't drive yet) Since it was so far away from our house, we found stuff to do out and about.

We went to the Stockbridge/Great Barrington/ Lee area and went geocaching and exploring. We also went to the Lee outlets. I'm not much of shopper, but the stores there are very cool.

We got lunch, coffee and dinner out and then picked up the boy man and went for ice cream. Was a good day :)

I've had a lovely Sunday so far. I had tea with lemon and galaktobourikos from the Greek bakery for breakfast, while sitting outside on the porch swing. It was a little chilly, but just fine with a cup of hot tea.

When I came inside my boy was washing the dishes, without being told. What a sweetie!

Got up around noon after going to bed around 2 a.m. He went out to get supplies for homemade cake pops while I vacuumed house and gathered items into some donation bags.

Had a quick lunch of chicken tenders and biscuits while watching an episode of Superstore, now going to bake and sing along to Spotifys Acoustic 90s playlist with the windows open.

Well, it's because your taste buds become accustomed to flavor after about 3 swallows or bites. Same thing with ice cream.

I found this: Most of our senses cannot continue to deliver the same intensity of stimulation that they do when they first encounter a new stimulus. You’ve probably also noticed that you experience the same thing when you smell something. If you walk into a room that has a certain scent, after a short time, you no longer smell it at all. Taste and smell are very closely related. Just as the intensity of a particular scent fades in time, so does the intensity of a particular taste.

In other news, I'm super duper happy for you!

To be thread compliant, I slept a little later than normal and didn't work out but I do have to work so it's not overeasy....just kind of normally easy-ish.

I had a lovely breakfast with an overnight guest, who is gone now. The breakfast was Cap'n Crunch, but the conversation was warm and friendly.

Afterwards, I did some cutting with scissors for a crafty project, and I made out a grocery list. Grocery shopping will be later today, unless it rains - in which case I will stay warm and dry inside under my covers.

Sunday Funday!

Today is all about seeing my Papaw in the hospital, popping over to the local Pride event (maybe), picking up a couple of things at the market, and starting to pack my car for a return trip to Atlanta.
Also somewhere in there is working on a freelance job, dropping a check off with my attorney (yes, my badass attorney is in the office on Sundays lately!), and doing some much-needed eyebrow and nail maintenance!

I woke without the alarm, which is amazing. I tinkered around the place and ate a late breakfast and talked to the babies. Loki planted himself in my lap so that took a while to give him love from head to tail. I watched one of my favorite movies of all time, Steel Magnolias, and bawled and laughed through half of it. It's been a super low stress day so far.

I slept past noon, must have been all those heavy boxes I've been moving around. Off to such a late start and with the temperature already up in the mid 80's no plans to do anything of any real significance this afternoon. For now just sipping peach tea and watching over Monte, playing his guardian angel, as he takes the biggest of all his many big naps throughout the day is enough. It seems like the neighbors on all sides are running their air conditioners this afternoon so maybe these next few hours won't be too bad, perhaps I'll be able to work on some sort of craft project. Then back to the salt mines, schlepping boxes around and making the most of the cooler temperatures. Hope everyone had a nice morning, and has an even better afternoon. :)

This Sunday morning was not overeasy...
With starting out early to use the weedeater around my workshop, the in-the-process-of-being-built patio, the bass boat and flatbed trailer and the well house...other chores and unload the new cement mixer.

It's so easy to over heat in this gawd awful humidity. I swear is was 90° before 8:30.

But then my Sunday got better as we drove up to Moorseville Antique mall so I could get several colorful Dalle Glass blocks for my projects.

Enjoyed dinner at The Barcelona Burger and Beer Garden for the first time. It was awesome!

Today is going to be great because the plan is to sleep through most of it in order to escape the heat of the afternoon/early evening. Monte is settling into his big nap – a couple few pats and it will be lights out for him. I have to stay up and push through the last two loads of laundry before the temp reaches 70. A load is in the dryer now, the other already washed, is sitting on top of the dryer and patiently waiting its turn. Since it's going to be warm today just a handful of fresh cherries and some black tea before my siesta. Hope everyone is having a great morning, and if tea drinkers, the tea in their cup this morning is as good as mine is. :) :tea:

Well no rest for the weary. I was going to nap but then I reached in the fridge for milk and realized I have strawberries to slice and sugar and blueberries to put up in the freezer. Then there are the red bell peppers I bought on sale to chop up and freeze, plus two large bunches of celery to deal with, as well as all those chicken trimmings. I bought a bunch of whole chicken breasts rather than boneless skinless and really shouldn't have because by the time I was done turning them into cutlets I had so many scraps it would actually come out cheaper to just buy them as I usually do. That is unless waste not want not I do something thrifty with the scraps. Which I forgot about and need to get done today or lose them to spoil. Oh drudge. I guess the easiest, most economical thing to do with them now would be to make chicken soup. I wonder if I'll remember how. I know there are all kinds of recipes online but I used to make really good chicken soup. Seriously good soup. I gave someone the recipe once and permission to use it in her restaurants and it went over very well. Now I'm not sure exactly what I did. I just know it took a really long time. Well I don't know anyone who owns restaurants to impress today so as long as I can stand it. If I can't my sons will enjoy it, they're nowhere near as fussy as me when it comes to food.

I slept in and then laid in bed for hours just thinking. I fell out of bed last night on to the floor. Haha! I had a struggle with the blankets and that caused me to fall out of bed. :cowboy:

This day will be spent relaxing and enjoying my birthday. When my birthday rolls around I usually spend some time taking stock in the last year. Anything I would have done differently? Yes, I am "one of those" people that celebrates this day because I feel it is another good time to be "the man in the mirror".

yesterday I washed all my winter linens and sweaters ,comforters. etc. It's a brisk morning ,folded all the laundry, had my coffee w/ my dogs on the deck watching the white caps out over the ocean , birds dancing across the sky , choregraphed by the light winds. Roasting a turkey later w/ company coming over. Thinking of steeping a fresh herb w/ orange , lemon , apple rines . Listening to jazzy soul music with weather temperatures of 67 degrees w/ 44 % humidity ~ good hair day too ! Happy Sunday :)

I spent the morning making art and marathoning ER. I worked on some resin tarot pendants I'm making for my bff and it's a struggle. I messed them up on first try. It's been about ten years since I've made one. Had to relearn a couple things. Then I just relaxed online and chatted with some friends and got some packages together that have to go in the mail tomorrow.

Well I spent the morning sleeping and then sleeping and then woke up very aggravated that I slept too long and missed out on most of the day. I know that’s my body saying hey you need more sleep! But geez I worked yesterday and wanted a full free day not a piece of one. Oh well... next weekend I guess lol. Once up (in the afternoon) I got some stuff done and ran errands. Fun fun fun. Oh and paid all my bills for the month. Yes one hella exciting day! That’s ok though I do like to have it out of the way so next weekend can be a fun one. :)

It's been good so far. Bladder woke me before the alarm but I still snuggled under the covers for a few minutes before acquiescing to Loki's very vocal demands for breakfast. He always thinks he's going to die without his wet food, regardless of how much dry is in the bowl.

Laundry is on, the heat is turned up, recycling has been put out, I've tried my new fuzzy house boots and they are WARM (could only wear them for a few minutes before my tootsies cried for cooler air). The babies have been fed and I'm going to empty the dishwasher and figure something out for brunch. Currently, the CMAs are on in the background. I'm still going through bins to change out my warmer weather clothes with the cooler stuff too.

Later, I'll get ready for work but it's only half a day so it's not too bad.

Woke this morning to find Mortgage left out on the balcony. (Big kitty) He has been attached to me all morning. I think he has abandonment issues :(

Going to the grocery store to pick up things I need for Thursday's dinner. And then coming back to finish this twin size quilt. As I'm sewing each row on, it gets heavier and heavier. It's a rag quilt, and I've been clipping for hours! I sold it on Etsy and making $$$. Yay me.

I took the dog out, and then the boy and I painted the last few remaining undecorated Christmas cookies while Tiny Dog ate her breakfast. Now all my cookies are done! Nine batches (whew!).

Planning to take a nice nap. Later I'll get up and make some French toast.

This morning was great! I woke to sunshine instead of my alarm and I had a leisurely grilled cheese brunch and then got to play with power tools and build something all by myself...all while remaining in my pajamas.

Had the best day/morning. Took a road trip with a very good girlfriend to a neighboring state where weed is legal. Two hour drive. We didn't stop talking all the way there. The line at the dispensary was short, as opposed to the last time I went and waited outside for 3 1/2 hours. We bought goodies and then we did a little shopping around and drove home two hours and talked all the way. Very therapeutic on every level. We also found samples in town of glittery hair gell/detangler and left town pretty much looking like unicorns.

My Sunday morning was _really_ overeasy until about 11 am, as I was still asleep. I was up until 4 am last night playing Yahtzee. But around 11 am I rolled out of bed, to see a patient Tiny Dog waiting for me to take her out. It was a little gray and overcast, but nicely cool, if not warm. I had tea and toast with a friend who spent the night, and we had a nice chat until it was time for him to go.

I'd worry and then start packing to take my mind off worrying until I couldn't pack anymore, then take a break and play online to give my body a rest and distract me from worrying. I figure at this pace I'll be done a month earlier than I need to be and it will all be worth it, not having to deal with the last minute crowd, all stressed and freaking out, facing crunch time. It's days like this I wish I had my own personal cheerleader – go team me go!

Hello Everybody,

I had a couple of cafecitas this morning, along with a PB&J sandwich. A friend stayed over last night, and had his usual morning breakfast of a Coke Zero. The day outside is just beautiful today! (especially compared to yesterday, which was stormy and gross.) I will definitely spend some time sitting outside, probably with another cafecita (mmmmmm, caffeine shivers).

I'm going to do laundry, but that's the only chore. I'll cook something later that we can have to munch on all week pre-vacation (some kind of beans and some rice or cornbread - maybe chili?).

I'm feeling a little crafty, and a craft project would de-stress me, so maybe I will think of something crafty to do - perhaps a little Zentangling.

Happy Sunday,

I slept in till 9:00 am then made a good breakfast and now watching CBS Sunday Morning News.

Today will be light chores and some down time.

Having a very easy Sunday. Finished grocery shopping. Am sorting through a pile of items that need to be filed while I watch the news. Will food prep for the week. Watch some movies while I do a bit of sewing. Count my lucky stars.

Happy Sunday morning,

I lingered in bed until 10:00 am. I made waffles and bacon for breakfast. Now watching CBS Sunday morning news. Light chores today but I hope to catch some old movies on TCM today. Maybe some light gardeng today.

Happy Sunday morning, Everybody!

I got up early and went to Hardee's to get us all breakfast biscuits. (Delicious! I had a biscuit with gravy.) Then I went back to bed with a full tummy.

Spent a little while outside in the porch swing. It was comfortable with a heavy sweater on. I even got a little Christmas spirit and sang a few Christmas carols - inspired by the red berries on my holly. Then I started to get a little morose - sang "To All the Dogs I've Loved Before" (my own version of "To All The Girls I've Loved Before") and decided to come back in the house.

I have some laundry to do, and I'm going to wash my hair later. I'll get in an episode or two of "Homeland" before the end of the day. We're going to have game night this evening - probably Yahtzee.

My Sunday involves an early football game as the Seahawks play the Eagles, some good food, a few chores, rounded out by Packers at 49ers on Sunday Night Football.

I woke up at 5:30, which I like to do. I read the news, drank coffee, responded to emails, and now am heading into quiet chores since my daughter is still sleeping :)
