my yorkie is still in bed with his sweater on...the big dog and I are up listening to music and having coffee...the grown children are still sleeping....and the gf is at work....the electric blanket is turned on in my big chair ready to cuddle with my puppy when he gets up...I love sundays :)

At 11:00AM we are heading to the Infrantry Museum here in Columbus, GA. So, it is a kinda slow and easy morning. We have to have him back at the base at 5:30pm. We will see him in 3 weeks for his boot camp graduation!

After a hectic and stressful night, I've enjoyed a relaxing morning with hot coffee and a good chat with MBD while watching the walkers and joggers brave the bitter cold on the Riverside.

I woke up a bit early this morning cause the fur kids needed to make a pit stop,it didn't take them long with the temps in the mid 30's.While they were out I made coffee then cooked up a batch of belgian waffles with melted butter and real maple syrup to top it off with.The rest of the day will be an easy one,just wondering when and it the snow and ice that's in Dallas will start falling hear as we are right in line for the weather that's coming,U can bet i'm ready for it if it dose.All of you that are dealing with this nasty mess stay safe and warm.

Slept late, which I desperately needed. Now I'm just lazing about in bed, playing on the internet, trying to decide what I can do to relax my mind today. I'm also considering making some peppermint hot cocoa. Maybe a movie...I finished a big goal I was working hard towards yesterday and now it seems surreal to allow myself to relax! But relax I will, damnit!

I have to study all day, as usual. at least on the weekends I can sleep in before I hit the books.
but I'm in bed with my work books and sketch books copying out the brachial plexus and hips muscles and writing out the structure of joints. and attempting to work on a presentation of the joints in the lumbar spine.
during Xmas break though, I'm going to give a presentation of access to health. I'm going g to specialize in people who have difficulty in confiding their personal physical differences or their difficulty with touch. I have been working with friends who are trans and stone and I want to do that as my medical niche. trans (gender or sex), gender queer, stone, and people who may have body disphoria like sexual assault suriviors, people with eating disorders... and people who have difficulty being open about their practices with health professionals like sex workers and kinksters.
since massage is part of the socialised health system in canada, I want to ensure they will get a specialist practitioner who will see them they way they wish yo be seen. who will makes having skin to skin contact a comfortable, and professional interaction.
so... study all day sat amd all day sun I have to. no weekends for me for another 18 months...

Listening to an audiobook while I clean house and hobble around on a knee that is PISSED about how much walking I did yesterday. Fire roaring in the fireplace. Salt lamp full of essential oils burning in the corner. Incense and candles providing some much-needed aromatherapy and mood. Lazy red dog snuggled into the rug in front of the fireplace. Cornbread baking. Chicken marinating for tonight's dinner. Fuzzy socks, worn-thin pajamas and the happiest girl in the whole USA right here in the warm comfort of her very own nest.

Red and I went on a trip to NYC a few years back and the last morning we were there we at a little café in the Upper West End. I am a huge eggs benedict fan so I was pretty sure that would be what I had. However I found something on the menu I had never had before called benedict Arnold. In stead of the English muffin the poached eggs are served on crab cakes. OMG Yummy!

What a weekend this has been. My Sooners beat OSU in the bedlam game. We had a 4.5 Earthquake hit the state and my Christmas bonus arrived in the mail :-).

This morning everyone got up late as we stayed up to watch the NFR rodeo after I got home from pool.I doubt anyone would have gotten up if it weren't for Little Bits needing to go out,me and Rowdy( the other fur kid) wen't back to bed after they came back in but the Bits saw my son's bed room door open so she wen't in there to bug him a while.
Finely I got up then fixed the Sunday ritual of bacon,eggs with home made butter milk biscuits.I was thinking of making waffles but didn't do it cause my brain was on auto pilot.Now it's all cleaned up ,the man child has has left the house me and the fur kids a going back to the bed to catch some zzzzzzzz's.

I have been moving at at, what feels like, a dead run for about a month. Traveling with my job, my honey lamb's dad in the hospital then in a rehab facility, classes to teach, people to deal with.

Today I had nowhere to be and nothing I had to do.
Got up at 5 AM, let the dog out, made hot cocoa then went back to bed with the dog and read until I fell back to sleep (about 15 min) then got up and watched a movie, then went back to reading in the big comfy chair. Made ham and cheese roll ups for lunch then went back to reading/dozing.

I think I may be feeling human again

Just the mister, myself and the pup snuggled in bed late, then it was turkey sausage, banana bread and fresh Cara Cara oranges for breakfast. We caught up on American Horror Story and I introduced him to Bones and The Help.

It got more windy as the day progressed but not much, if any, of the anticipated rain. The snow's nearly melted off and it will not be a white Christmas here. I'm kind of torn as to whether that's good or not.

Coffee sipped while watching the birds at the feeders in our citrus trees, thinking of tuesday when I'll harvest the blood oranges (moro) for the season.

Woke up the first time way too early... my internal work week alarm clock is a pain in the ass... Fell softly back to sleep with the ocean's constant lull (sometimes roar) in the background.

The second waking was a smidge more appropriate for a day off and making coffee was a little easier. Doing a few piddly things then heading out for some sun and adventuring. I was told of an awesome place that is way off the tourist route and only accessible by 4X4. A protected area so no fishing, which is great for snorkeling! I am not sure exactly how long the drive is, and as I am getting a bit of a later start than I perhaps should, it may have to be saved for full exploration for another day.

I will head that way and see where the road takes me. Later, my now usual routine of dinner with the boys at a local gay bar ( the only official gay bar). The owner, a precious man who spends much more money/time/energy giving to the community than the community returns in kind, prepares an inexpensive meal on Sunday evenings and it is always worth the pittance he charges. It is also thus far the one semi-consistent way for me to at least see other queer folk. Early in the evening, so not a great deal of drinking which makes for more opportunity for conversation. When you are alone on an island that goes a long way!!

Red and I just got home from a weekend at our friends wonderful cabin on Lake Texoma. We go down twice a year with just women and have a great time. The weather was excellent and drinking nice hot coffee watching the sun come up was great. Hoping everyone had a nice and over easy Sunday!

Rode out to the beach and we sat there for a while. My honey loves to walk on that warm sand!
Watched THE game yesterday.....go Broncs!!!
While I watched the game, it was such comfort to listen to the soft whirr of her sewing machine...she is making us a quilt for our King bed. It has dolphins (grins, OF course it does), sea turtles, and some rainbow stripes along with a fade of colors into a burst of a sunrise to sunset. She is so talented with the quilts she makes!
So yes, my Sunday morning was over easy...just the way I love them to be!!:hangloose:

Already looking forward to Sunday Morning Overeasy!!

The news stations are calling for 4-6 inches of snow tomorrow and another round of it on Tuesday and Friday. Jackhammer has been sick all day so we've had an easy day of resting.
I'm stocked up to make spaghetti and chili this week and if she wakes up feeling bad tomorrow, she'll get to rest another day.

The Puppy Bowl is on tomorrow, y'all!! (for those who want an alternative to the Super Bowl)!

i went to the store yesterday to avoid it today... it was worse than Christmas time it was so busy....freezing rain and the superbowl sent everyone to walmart haha...so today movies and a nail appointment with my daughter...and later...if I can find it online...the superbowl...go broncos!! :)

Well, slept in, which was very nice until one said cat wanted attention.

You know the temp is 41. Not a good morning to lock yourself out of the house with nothing on your feet. Went to neighbors house and had to endure her trying to give me socks while we searched for my extra key. "It should be right here" search.

I'm patiently waiting for rain, possible thunder showers. So I'm going to put in the two movies I rented today. Dallas Buyers Club, alright alright alright :)

Working on my pen pal project, should wrap it up in a few hours. And then to finish sewing quilt blocks together to get to quilter.

Spending Sunday morning making the family recipe of Sicilian-style red gravy with Pops and Pappy supervising. Jackhammer is at home washing clothes and getting the house in shape since I've been gone all week but she will be heading over hear in a bit to eat spaghetti and fix their toilets.

We have landed! Red and I survived a 2 day trip with our nephews to Gulfport MS! It is raining but we have a balcony with a view and a Waffle House next door! Life is good. New Orleans on Tuesday!

Laptop and me at patio table watching way more hummingbirds than I have ever had fight over two feeders. Really. Saw 9 at once. Crazy fun.

Big dog Gabriel (standard poodle - champagne) watching intensely for 'stinkinsquirrels' to him. I have a cute squirrel feeder on the fence, and if one gets a peanut he goes bonkers. So much fun to watch. Love to hear them bitch at him.

Sitting with a glass of Chardonnay and watching the garden grow. Tommi build the raised garden, and we filled it and planted last weekend. Loving it. Can't wait for first tomato or pepper to be harvested. Spinach, beans, cucumbers and green onions in there also. Red beets too, but someone has been eating the leaves.

Bunny? There has been one seen in the yard.

Love the warm weather. Feel for friends in cold areas. Cooked St. Pat's dinner today - awesome. Leftovers tomorrow.

Today will be a relaxing day of organizing and going through receipts and papers. Have several projects going and love staying busy while I play some Edith Piaff in the background and the scent of Nag Champa wafts around.

Last sunday was the best sunday I have had in long time. I got to wake to a cool (warmer then I have been used too) windy day with someone so special. We had breakfast, and then hit the road to go see a park that was in full bloom.

It was a great lazy sunday.

Today I had to wake without her but I got to call and wake her we are getting ready to run errands in 2 different states but together. I love the time we spend together even if its miles apart.

Good morning!

Well we have had our two foster doxies for almost 24 hrs and it is going pretty well. Ms. Daisy who is blind has taken up with me and Mauser is pretty much just hanging with who is willing to rub his belly. Their furever mommy will be picking them up in mid May. My main goal is to get them to Bark Boomer Sooner so when get to Nebraska they can rustle them some Cornhuskers!

Our day was wild! The foster puppies change our routine so sleeping late is not an option! Work is crazy along with the weather. Got stuck in a hail storm, and wow people will almost run you over to find shelter for their car. Me, I went to the donut shop called Red had a cup of coffee with the owner and gained a new client. Funny how going with the flow opens new doors. I am test proctor for the next 8 school days. Had 2 days last week. Love the kids but I am sure glad I no longer am 10yrs old :-).

I went ahead and opened up all the windows and there are about a zillion happy birds chirping and singing all over the land. I'm busy in the kitchen making a lunch and will plant some stuff in the raised bed later today.

Good Morning!

What a wonderful weekend this is turning out to be. Went the annual Mayfair yesterday and purchased some wonderful oils and soaps. Red found several pairs of handmade earrings to take on her trip in July. We feasted on fresh squeezed lemonade and corndogs, watched some little ones perform "Happy" on the stage and wondered around the park people watching.

As always the pups like to get up early, so I am on my second cup of coffee waiting for Red to get up, have 2 flats of Begonias to plant in the front flower bed. Two movies to watch later today and that's it.

It's cloudy and muggy this morning, pretty much typical type of day this time of year. This weekend has been busy, busy, busy. Red has been gone since Friday and will return tonight. A little cloudy today, not sure if it is the weather or the Thunder loosing to the Spurs. They played hard and that is all a fan can ask for.
The count down is on for Red to leave for her trip, we have been busy getting everything ready to mail to the college dorm where she will be staying.

It's raining again. If the humidity wasn't so bad afterwards it would be very nice. Our farmers out in western Oklahoma really need the rain so it is very welcomed. I like the rain it seem to slow everything down.
Last weekend with our foster pups. Taking them next Saturday to meet the new forever mommy in Wichita, KS. Then they are off to their new home in Nebraska. I am going to really miss Ms. Daisy and Mr. Mouse. They have been quite a treat to have around the home.

We did ride out to PetsMart to see the available dachsies for adotpion, but they had NONE! I do have my eye on one on a rescue site, a cute lil senior...a ruddy, reddish color with icy frosted white face!!!

If it is in your heart please go back to the shelter and adopt the little senior. Seniors are the hardest to find furever homes for and shelter life is horrible!

Okiebug....I will adopt a senior...for sure! Those ARE the ones who capture my heart, and I know they aren't usually adopted!
My own dachshund isn't doing well right now with liver issues and possibly lymphoma...so I have to devote this time to her...how ever long I will have her. We had rounded a corner and seemed to be doing well...then last day or so, she is showing some of the earflier symptoms. She will be 12 on the 28th!!!

Our Sunday really started on Saturday. We went and watched a double feature had lunch in between then came back to my place to sit around the pool for awhile.

Today was breakfast then church and back to her place for movies and dinner. I love these lazy weekends which doesnt happen much but we enjoy them when we get them

Yesterday was definitely over easy. A good workout first thing, a good filling breakfast, scrub a dub time, chores and errands and a teenage flick just for me. Good times!

Did someone say Muggy? Ugh the mug is on here in Oklahoma. It makes for a busy work week but it wears one out. I am ready to do nothing all day but have to start preparing for Red to leave next Sunday. Cooking fresh sausage and egg breakfast pockets with fresh fruit on the side. I am getting ready to take Red to the airport. She will not be back until July 25th. A good friend of mine is picking her up at the Airport in Maryland so that is helping me not be so freaking weird. A month is a long time to be away but it is a great honor for her. Anyways not to de-rail any more.

We fell asleep last night, cuddled up on the futon on the patio while stargazing, so Sunday over-easy began at 5am with the sunriise and birds singing! What a glorious way to start the day!

I've got the potato salad and crockpot of meatballs ready for our church potluck, and the laundry for our trip to LA for medical appointments going already, and it's only 8am! It's going to top 100* today so i wanted to get done early.

Hmmmmm, when is the over-easy part going to start? Lol

A baby fawn in the backyard, less than ten feet from my view. Just a frolicking away. I've never seen anything like that. Playing like a puppy, running back and forth. Amazing!

Thinking about what rub to go on that rack of ribs thawing out.

Top off the day with using the gift cards that are burning a hole in my purse! Lol!

Causing a stir over there, is on my radar for this wonderful day off! ;)

Alas, I've had the last two days off, wonderfully blissful. No alarms, peaceful, sunny, and pop up thunder storms. (Can't get enough of those!) long conversations, and reconnecting conversations...just what I needed.

Today is Home Depot power tool shopping day!!!! Need orbital sander. And paint of course. More Rustoleum rust stop stuff. Lowes has the metallic paint I need, some fresh salad fixings at WinnDixie and back home to work on projects.

Feeling pretty good today. Excited about making more goodies for my future home.

Will spend afternoon doing nails, shopping online for more soap making supplies, finishing an easy "glue on" visioning collage, watch ROKU, talking on the phone with someone. I was going to finish a book by Jackie Kay, but it hasn't held up over the years so I think I'll just toss it out. Why force it if it's not happening?

The worst of my day so far was eating some store-bought curried-chicken salad that was ridiculously sweet. Life is good.

Red is asleep with the doxies and I am hanging with Abbie our Aussie. 1st day of contract for Red this next Thursday. Seems like summer was a dream. Going to be a busy afternoon today. Red has meetings and I have a business meeting the my essential oils partner. Our little business is picking up and we have 2 festivals lined up before the end of the year.

Did the usual Kitty roundup "feed me" routine. Twice because Sophie jumped up and gobbled up their wet food... dang dog. Just took a trip to the loo. :fastdraq:

Been up since six, went to my favorite 24/7 restaurant and drank decaf coffee for two hours. Took my project book with me, jotted down numerous ideas and such. I'm so loved by all my favorite ladies, they gave me their secret stash of flavored creamer to add to my coffee. They ROCK!

Got dozens of ideas in my head today. Yep. One of those days again! :hangloose:

Wonderful, relaxed Sunday morning here. It's my honey's birthday! Went to early breakfast at IHOP and got her a small chocolate decorated cake...:)

Yesterday I had gotten her a facial massage and a deep tissue massage, 1 hr. each and treated myself to a massage as well! OMG..were we relaxed. Had a late dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings!

Today we are just lazing around the house. It's going to be a big August full moon tonight, so we will pack a light picnic and ride out to beach to watch it come up out over the ocean....should be spectacular to see, too!!!

My dachshund is here and there....she only has FOUR beds in different spots to lie on..lol. NO, she is NOT spoil

I must say that this last week was so much better than the one before. I have been using my CPTG essential oils and they have done wonders for me. Working with my business partner to prepare for our first "Groove Fest" festival next month. I am really exited about this adventure. The overall experience has improved my physical, mental and spiritual health beyond my imagination.
Today is going to be a nice, slow and laid back Sunday. The only thing we have to do is a little shopping for the work week. Otherwise I am going to kick back an enjoy this beautiful day.

Reading the newspaper. Meredith Vierra and a curmudgeon who objects the the neighbor boy's lemonade stand are all I remember.

Chatting with my mother about my new (to me) mobile home. (It needs paint and some repairs, so I won't move in for a couple of weeks.) We were discussing fun stuff like where to put the furniture and what to plant in the planter out front.

Then back to bed to stretch my sore back out before I get up and grade papers all afternoon.
