1. I think my minivan is totally cool.

3. My three kids will all be graduating in the same year (2013) -- youngest from high school, middle kid from college, oldest from grad school.

4. I'm addicted to "Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood." (I know. I can't help it. Is there a 12-step program for this??)

5. Vacuum cleaners piss me off. Seriously. I just turn the thing on and I have a knot in my stomach.

* There are two movies that I will watch whenever they come on tv, even if I catch them half way through. One is Overboard-"caviar should be round and firm and burst in your mouth at precisely the right moment." The other is 5th Element-"Leeloo Dallas multipass."

* I want to learn to play the uke.

* shower routine is always face-hair-body.

*Everyday when I come home I give my boy Fruitcake a kiss and tell him I missed him "all the day long" :)

I cannot make a good pancake

when I use an egg from the carton, I put the empty shells back in the carton. When all the eggs are used, I put the eggs in my compost bin and throw the carton away

My truck takes $90 to fill. I can only afford to fill it once a month

my wallet has to match my purse

I hate wasting letters on the computer. If I make a mistake, I will delete only the letters I dont need, rather than take the shortcut and delete the whole word and start over again. I feel bad for letters once they exist...and dont want to throw them away if I can help it

i make myself be very outgoing at work - laughing and talking with people all day, inquiring about what is going on with them - but that's not really me, i am painfully shy & most comfortable that way.
when i get busy irl i tend to slip away from here, sometimes for a long time, but i always miss it and make time to come back.
i observe more than i think people know i do.
i think i am more agreeable than is good for me sometimes.
i find small little things very gratifying - like eating cherries or grapes or jello, making or following lists, getting lost in big poofy bed things, 10 or less minute daily convos with Someone, making my way through a book (especially when it shows as thousands more pages on kindle).

Like Mr. Nice Guy, I like to sleep with a fan on me at night, both for the white noise and for the breeze.

Smells and sounds get me where it counts. Someone who smells divine and/or someone whose voice hits a spot with me will never be forgotten.

I have a Buddy Bear, but I don't cook him anymore cuz the smell makes me queasy.

Honeycrisp apples make me happy.

I saw the most beautiful baby today.

1. When it rains, and worms get washed up onto the sidewalk, I stop to pick up each and every one and move them back to the grass so they will be safe. I feel sad for the ones that were stepped on before I got to them.

2. When fishing, every fish caught, gets a name, a kiss where the hook hurt them, thanked, and returned from whence they came. (Yes, I use worms, but I view fishing as 'worm destiny', and feel I am helping them to fulfill that destiny)

3. I am majorly organized, but scattered. I have been known to forget to put on pants when going out to the mailbox because I was 'thinking' about stuff.

4. On my days off, I wake to watch cartoons and eat ice cream.

5. I like to take things apart to see how they work, but can never quite get them back together.

1) I despise anything wet under my bare feet (i.e. grass) I literally am bothered by that sensation.

2) I sleep with a fan on for white noise and can't sleep without one.

3) I LOVE babies and no matter where I am, I can't resist commenting on them and talking to them. They just make my heart smile big.

4) When someone is looking confused from a "directions" standpoint, I stop ask them where they are looking to go.

5) If I see someone being ridiculed or harassed, I jump into my "I'll kick your ass" mode without hesitation and confront the person(s). I have no tolerance for that bullshit whatsoever.

Watching the "Estimated disk use" bar for before and after defragmentation. The orderly corner straightening of the files & gathering in bars of white, red, blue, and green.
Leaning over the washer with the lid open while it is spinning. The cool, scented breeze coming up off the hippie swirl of clothes, the whirring hum, the ocean spray of rinse water

Vacuuming really dirty carpet. The satisfying tick, tick, tick of the dirt bouncing up into the bag or when there is deep, dog fur to be cut through in great reaping passes.

The spring of a good sable brush when putting pigment down into a wash on heavy cold press rag paper, the color unfurling in pebble fractals

Lying in a the bathtub with my eyes closed and ears under water listening to my breathe and my heart beat.

1. I sleep with a fan blowing directly one me, on high (for the white noise and I like to sleep cold) year round, and have for many years now!
2. I LOVE fried gizzards and livers!
3.Freshwater fishing is a great joy!
4. I have an affliction for Jelly Belly Jelly beans (the original ones and multi flavors).
5. Shrimp is my all time fave food (local and fresh is best way to go)

1. For as long as I can remember i've had OCD.

2. This includes my eating habits, I couldn't eat foods that touch eachother, or certain colors of things...or anything that was all mixed in together. (sometimes i still cant)

3. I wash my hands three times in a row, in hot soapy water, and if I forget how many times i've washed I start over.

4. I have currently been in treatment for this issue for the last year, and am making progress, so much so that I can actually eat a peice of supreme pizza without having an anxiety attack...but without onions and mushrooms cuz EW.

5. I haven't admitted this to anyone, so I am feeling quite proud of myself right now!--I dont know if that counts as one so I will add in that I have a glass of ice cold milk everynight before bed. :)

1. I have laughed at funerals. Not that I have meant to of course, but to me, there is a very fine line between some emotions, and when I feel overwhelmed, I kind of loose it. It is embarrassing, and I feel horrible, but trying to explain myself is often pointless.

2. I've known some people who after their shower, leave the curtain open because then no one can be hiding behind it, but I have to have it closed after my shower, so it can dry completely, mold and mildew free.

3. When I go for a walk, my cats come with me...they just follow me without a leash...I think the neighbors think I'm nuts.

4. I could eat home made salsa and guac everyday! Without chips!

5. If the world is going to end this year, I'm at peace and ok with that. I'm ready to go.

1. I absolutely HATE being late for anything, makes me feel incredibly embarrassed, I think it is disrespectful.
2. When invited over for dinner, I believe you should always bring something as a gift of thanks.. either some baking for dessert, or a nice bottle of wine, if appropriate.
3. Some one acting out in public, embarrasses the FUCK right out of me, and is a deal breaker in the manners department.
4. I really truly believe that people are good.

I've done everthing in my power to run barefoot but the bottom of my feet must be the weakest whimpiest geekiest part of my body. They have the pain tolerance of zero. One microscopic pebble and they are out for the count.

I have never ran out of gas.

I think cold sushi makes a great breakfast!

~ I love being barefoot OR wearing high heels. I hate flip-flops and call them "toe rapers." But, I can run in heels just as fast as I can run in tennis shoes or barefooted.

~ I love to stretch and I have had had people tell me that I make porn start noises when I do. lol

~ Someone once asked me "what would you do if I offered you $500 for your hair?" I replied "hand you some scissors."

~ Every two years or so, I chop off my hair & donate it to Locks of Love.

~ I am horribly accident prone and have: cut myself with my fingernails (twice); cut myself on ice (three times); broken both baby toes (at least 3 times-EACH); burned myself on Ramen noodles (once) and scalded myself in boiling water (three times).

1. When I was a wee child.. lol.. I really thought I could fly. My mom and I were walking home from town, about 6km, i was pouting, my mom asked me what my problem was. I said, I dont know why you are making us walk home! She said, as opposed to what? I said, we found fly, but you wont let me! She said okay, go ahead, fly then, I'll meet you there. I ran so hard, with all my might, flapping my arms so fast, and tried again and again. Crushed, I put my head down and walked beside her in silence the rest of the way home.
2. I love being bare foot! Socks always feel like they are too hot, or scratchy.. lol
3. I had an imaginary friend when I was little. I still remember him.
4. I failed math in highschool, 3 times, when I had to take math in college for university transfer, my mark was a 97% Guess my brain grew up.

Once I got punched by a little old man who got pissed at me for throwing him out of our poker room. He then sued me for 3 million dollars.

…Well, I’ve said of my love for going barefoot; my sonar like hearing and various other tidbits about me…..

I have an imaginative approach to life and bring creativity to most things I do….. I’m a genius (apparently) at making a meal or day special with very little.

I may not be Zen in every aspect of my life, yet, I try to find balance and harmony. It’s the “AAARRRGGGHHH!” moments that get me! LOL!

Speaking of “AARRGGHH!” moments; I can mimic the Xena, Warrior Princess’ war cry to a tee! :blink: I use it to great effect when students are rowdy and not paying attention. It also works on my Cats to stop them fighting…

The ringtone on my phone has been “Tequila” by the Champs for many years. The Text message tone is the Swedish Chef’s version of “Popcorn”.

I’ve never really liked junk food, although, I have weaknesses for Kumara chips and mushy peas (very Kiwi, lol!) and Bavarian Hotdogs made with Vegan sausages.

One of my biggest phobias, besides Tortoises is Clowns! I’ve sort the help of a Psychologist to help me get over my phobia, only it made it worse!

…OK! That’s more than 5, but, it’s Saturday and I had to go shopping this morning, so I switched my brain off! :| LOL!

1. I am unable to wear a watch on my wrist because I drain the battery within hours. I have tried putting a piece of tinfoil between the watch and my skin, but it still won't work!

2. I read for about an hour every night before shutting off the light to sleep. I also prefer books over all those electrical gadgets, like ipads and kindle's. Keep your kindle, give me books!

3. I do not own a cell phone, ipod, ipad, mp3 player or anything like that.

4. I read the sports pages, do the crossword and sudoku puzzles in the local paper everyday.

5. I don't like to microwave coffee to warm it back up. If it gets too cool to drink, I will just add ice to it and make it an iced coffee. Either very hot or very cold, I don't do medium!

1. I love shoes, I notice other peoples shoes. Friends know, without me asking, that I'll want to try their new shoes on and I have come home wearing them more than once :p BUT, I prefer to be barefoot whenever possible!

2. I am as comfortable around power tools as I am around my makeup bag.

3. I believe the most amazing perfumes cannot compare with the scent of line dried towels and linens.

4. I'm very independent and capable. I can take control of a situation without being controlling.

5. I can spot a player from 10miles away. That doesn't mean I won't play the game. Just don't break the rules ;)

1. All the women in my family have a few artistic talents, I draw, sculpt, crochet, sew, bake and cook, photography. I also can arrange flowers, and have done so for many weddings.
2. Playing in mud makes me happy, (happy is the G rated choice word) usually on a quad taking jumps off hills and splashing in the who knows how deep it is mud puddle below.
3. I had a serious accident a few years ago on a quad, and they didnt think i was going to make it the night, severe internal bleeding, and road rash, apparently i had more living to do..
4. I had bowel cancer when I was 19, 20 years of remission this year :)
5. I love driving fast over hills to feel my stomach drop just like on a roller coaster.

1. I love celery, and my favorite part is the leafy tops. I always choose the celery with the MOST fluffy tops I can get!

2. I will pick up 20 magazines at the library at a time. I will then flip through them quickly, attaching a paper clip to each page that I want to read further. When I have made my way through the magazine, THEN I will go back to each paperclip and read what I had book marked!

3. I sleep with the fan on for white noise.

4. I am a constant organizer, and I move my furniture around a lot.

5. I've cut 12+ inches off my hair twice for "Locks of Love."

The one musician I have never senn live and have wanted to see my entire life.....would give up my lesbian card...cut off my right hand....lose access to chocolate forever.....Cat Stevens AKA Yusuf Islam. I was very young when he left the music business and I cried for days.

As outgoing and extroverted as I am, sometimes I totally retreat from the world to re-evaluate myself and my life. I wish I was able to express this to friends and loved ones.

I carry cases of water and blankets around in my car to hand out to homeless people. It gets so hot here in the summer and cold in the winter. It's so sad. Much to my parents chagrin, I will pull over and offer these things when I am alone. For some reason, I am not afraid of getting hurt when I am doing the right thing.

Since I was 18, I wore my hair very very short. A year and a half ago, I decided to let it grow out, and it is halfway down my back.

I am an incurable insomniac due to some neck and back issues. But I have been fortunate to find the silver lining in this....I do my best writing when the human kid and animal kids are sleeping.

I love being under metal in a thunder storm, it is the sound of the rain on the car roof, house roof, carport roof, so loud and pounding then the thunder rolling gently over the roar, sigh

I love bug hunting. I deeply dig getting a butterfly net and sweeping it back and forth through high grass and seeing what I come up with.

I eat things in a certain order and my plate has to face a certain way. I am rarely conscious of doing this arranging but I do it every time.

If I do not see the utility of a task, I tend to not do it

I seriously think I am going to turn down a job opportunity to work in Japan because I can't take my dogs.

1. I know longer own a cell phone. I think it's been three months in my cell free zone. It's pure bliss!

2. I don't own an ipod, ipad, kindle, mp3 player or any sort of up to date technology! Does this make me odd? Perhaps. Do I really give a sh*t? Not one bit!

3. I would rather sip a meal through a straw than prepare something using pots and pans.

4. I read at least 1 hour every night before falling asleep. I have several books on the go at once, the library is a lovely haven.

5. I love the gardening, Mother Nature doing her thing, and watching the plant magically do its thing, and I will be the lucky one to enjoy the bounty!

I almost passed out trying to put in a lightbulb in an overhead light, last night. Strange things like that keep popping up and makes me wonder what have we missed medically?

I love those cheap little freezer ice things you can get in any discount store. You get about 100 of them in a box for $2. They are my salvation during the summer

I start up conversations with people when I am out and about. Today it was with the people at the gas pumps. I am so not a timid person in the world.

I never comb my hair. I brush it. Even after a shower, I use a plastic brush designed for wet hair.

When I received what was left of My share of the settlement from My mother's death I used it to have My first love artificially inseminated and once she had our child she left Me for a man.

I am more old school then you would think.

My grandmother was the most influential woman in My life and I miss her everyday since she has been gone.

I have worked to be where I am today and I am not ashamed of anything I have done to get here nor do I apologize for who I truly am.

I'm a bee charmer. As a kid I'd let them crawl around on my hands and arms...couldn't understand why the other kids kept running away from me. Still have never been stung.

I don't tan, I boil. My heritage is mostly Italian and Native American. Both of my parents have an olive complexion and get very dark in the summer, I however blend in with snow year round.

I don't have a facebook account and just got a cell phone three months ago. FarmVille baffles me.

I'm addicted to Food Network.

I love shoes, but prefer to be bare foot.

When I was 18 my hair went completely red/auburn because of where we lived, when I came out my hair was elbow length and my gf was totally freaked out about being with a long-haired femme, and when I was 40 my hair started to go a bit wavy/curly - all my life my hair has been so straight that even if it was plaited all day within a short time it'd be completely straight again, and I have a lot of grey in it now but I'm going to keep colouring it until it's about 75% grey then I'm going to join the purple rinse brigade.

3. My background is Swedish, and that is one country I have not visited. Plus you wouldn't know it to look at me. Well you might question my fair skin with my dark hair.

4. I used to be able to drink anyone under the table and not even feel it and now I am such a light weight, one drink and I am tipsy... and horny. Ok maybe I am just horny all the time.

1) I hate talking on the phone. I actually have anxiety over it. This just developed in the past 2 years. I cannot talk long, when I do talk and everyone in my personal circle knows to text or email me instead. I have fallen apart after long phone calls and cried. Yeah. That bad.

2) I like going back in my mind, to the 70s and remember what it was like dating and fucking back then. Pre-AIDS. After free love. Lots of pot. Long hair. hip huggers. vans with scenic views on their side.

1) I quit high school my senior year with a full ride basket ball scholarship so that I could get a full time job to help take care of my family. I do not regret this decision. I got my GED day after my class graduated.

2) I went to college as soon as my life permitted it and payed my own way to do it. I only regret that I had to wait so long to do so and I am going to have to put it on hold again because my life requires that I do so. This will be a temporary thing after all the loans start to come due in 6 months so will return before that time.

3) I collect comic books all types, if I really like the series I buy two of a copy, one to read and one to package away to pass on to the next generation. I do not do it in order to resell them my collection will be handed down to the next generation when I die.

4) Although I am the biggest flirt there is I honor the women I am actually dating and do my best to treat them on here as I would in real life.

5) I am an emotional person but I do know how to control them and I am confident enough in who I am to display them when I feel them. I will walk away from a heated discussion or argument but tell the person that is what I am doing then I return and attempt to find closure for the situation.

1) I love ottomans. I still feel bitter regret that I didn't buy a vintage sixties black leather ottoman I saw at a street fair in the East Village a few years ago.

2) Sometimes on my lunch hour I walk around Tribeca stopping to pet any dogs I pass. Each dog I pet makes me feel happier and by the time I head back to the office I'm in a really good mood.

3) I love badminton and ping pong.

4) I love key lime pie, mojitos, blackened salmon, brussel sprouts and shrimp cocktail.

5) I didn't read a lot of 19th century literature till I was in graduate school, in my thirties.

Even the woman I've lived with for the last two years doesn't know these things about me.

I'm allergic to clover honey because of something in the clover

I saved a very tiny, very unique moth with beautiful light green and cream colored wings.. released it gently outside ... then grabbed the fly swatter to go on a rampage against all the other flying critters that have overtaken my kitchen from around the AC unit .....but that one little unique moth was so pretty I just had to set it free...

I am now fradie-cat scared to set foot in my kitchen without lights on.. after finding a baby copperhead snake.

I love giving a special someone a good back scratch with my long nails, seeing them arch their back and just about purr like a kitten, the goose bumps appear on their skin as I change from firm touch to a very light gentle trace ...not leaving a single spot untouched ...feeling them relax under my touch as the afterglow sets in... then have them cooo to me about how good they feel... that's one of my favorite ways to give attention

1. Sometimes I flatten and smooth out the wrappers of the Dove chocolates that have the little sayings inside, and then put them in a random page of one of the many books on my shelves. So, whenever I read a book I come upon a forgotten little note and it makes me smile. :nerd:

2. I couldn't read until the second grade.(not even for a second grader) I was tested for all sorts of learning disabilities but, they couldn't figure it out. Then one day the school called my parents in and almost angrily asked them why I could read on an advanced level all of a sudden. Turns out, little me just decided one day that I can read.

3. I created a vision board when I made a big change in my life a while back. It sits beside my bed and I look at it everyday to help me focus on what I want, and achieve it :)

4. I'm not a fan of microwave popcorn. I prefer to make it in a pot on the stove. Jiffy Pop over a fire is acceptable too.

5. I prefer dark polish on my toenails and light or no polish on my fingernails.

My boys love electonic games but I do not like them much. I'd rather shoot a game of pool or play tip kik (foose ball) or throw darts or try to land an arrow on a stack of hay because there's something totally uncontrollable with holding a bow and arrow and making it go the right way.

I don't care too much for working in an office environment; I would much rather be outside, rain or shine or even if it's foggy or a snowflake kind of day.

I like stopping at tiny little antique barn-like places on the way to the beach to see what kind of things they might be keeping from yesteryear: I like finding old mason jars, trinkets, old post cards, ribbons, china cup and saucer sets or even strange forks and spoons.

I normally have a few fragrances I like to wear but lately I've been stuck on wearing Givenchy's "Irresistable". There's something about that fragrance and how it melds with my body chemistry (get tons of compliments every time I wear it).

I don't like to wash my hair too often. But I do, about two to three times a week - depending on how my hair is cooperating with me. I ran out of my favorite mousse which is a 'caviar' kind of mousse - a heavy like creamy stuff that makes my hair simply beautiful. I can hardly wait to buy a case of it, next time.

I would rather talk to you on the phone or in person because while the text and the computer are wonderful to much is lost is meaning when you cant at least hear the voice.

While I am not shy I am a lot more shy in real life then here at leas until I get to know you a little.

While I do love sports I do NOT love all sports and while I can have an excellent time with the guys screaming and getting into the game if a friend or the woman I am with needs me they WILL come first.

Music is very important to Me and while I have My favorite geners I will listen to almost anything. It is either the words, the rhythm, or that particular video that is speaking to Me.

I am far from perfect and some times it is easier to say things in written form but whether you are my friend and especially the woman I am with you will hear and see Me say the words "I love you" before you see them and damn sure before anyone else does. Those are three words I do not take lightly and that includes with people I call friends. Those words take time, whoever I say them to will see it in My eyes knowing it is true, and I have said them to very few but am not closed to saying to again. I still love the people I have said those words to.

2) i love to color: i recently bought 4 coloring books and i haven't gotten to color them yet but i will be soon :D

3) pepsi is my weakness, i'm trying to ween myself off it but that'll be a slow process :|

4) i'm a lover of animals of all kinds; my fave animals are cats, as i have two of them and would love more

5) i'm a HUGE kid at heart; i love listening and singing along when my sister plays things like Dora and Diego, Barney (yes i said that), The Wiggles, and much more :)

if someone says "let's have hot dogs for dinner "... I MUST be in the right mood for them because as a child of a mother that wasn't always functional, a lot of times the only thing my sister and I had to eat was frozen hot dogs (for several years, the stove didn't work and we could barely get to the fridge because of my mother's hoarding and her "shutting down" on us)... same goes for canned green beans because we HAD to eat them cold from the can.

After all these years and the many things I've gone through I've managed to keep a very tiny toy dog (a little white scotty that's a magnet) and a little mechanical lady bug.. that's two of my most prized possessions because my Gramma gave them to me to keep me busy and quiet at church. The scotty dog is so tiny I'm amazed it hasn't got lost like the little black one.

I love Galileo Thermometers!! their beauty and simplicity.

I love old fashioned Fire King kitchen-ware.. green or blue...but I don't have a collection. I admire from afar and put it on my wish list.

I hate my SHORT hair because it just always looks horrible with these dang curls ...but LOVE that it's much easier to shampoo and brush.

I really like fresh, soft, velvety basil leaves so I can just smell them or use them in recipe or make pesto.

I like the cool, crisp, morning air: especially if the clouds come very low and make everything very foggy, then mysteriously vanish into a very warm Fall afternoon.

I have been craving pretzels, almonds, oranges and apples lately (pesto, too).

I can't find my glasses: I usually leave them in one place specifically and as it is, they are not there. I have no idea where they could be.

I love quilts: I like how heavy they feel, how big they can be, and the artistic way they tell a story.

1. One of my biggest pet peeves in the entire world is for someone to try to read over my shoulder.

2. If you read over my shoulder and then expect me to stop scrolling so that you can catch up or make a comment, I'll probably go into a blind rage.

3. Every night as I am falling asleep, I go into a meditative frame of mind and design living spaces in my head. I get caught on different things in my meditative state and might design living spaces while falling asleep for a few months and then a few months later I'll make lists over and over of what I'd do if I won the lottery as I'm falling asleep. One time I was stuck on choreographing dance routines but that one was keeping me awake with all the excitement and my legs would involuntarily twitch so I had to quit it and move on to loft spaces.

4. I'm a great house guest but a terrible hostess. (not very formal and tell folks if they want something, get it themselves - this is mainly because the folks that come to my house are family and I treat them as such)

5. My schedule is so tight these days that having an entire day to myself where I don't have to do anything for anyone else is a super duper luxury so I get real cranky if that gets interrupted with bullshit.

I have come to the realization that I really am a cat person, not a dog person. I like dogs....but only really well-behaved ones.
I would rather clean the bathrooms than mow the lawn.
One of my dreams is to really immerse myself in the Food & Wine Festival at Epcot and sample everything that isn't shellfish. I have yet to accomplish this.
I love rollercoasters, except when they go upside down....then I'm NOT going on.
I really dislike gory TV shows....no zombies, no blood, no dissected bodies...thank you. Even the previews on TV at this time of year gross me out.

1) I am allergic to mint. This time of year, I am on serious deflection mode.

2) I am afraid of heights. I can deal with being in a plane no problem but I will not go to those tall buildings with glass ceiling lookouts/climb a mountain/go on a roller coaster.

3) I don't know how to swim and I do not put my head under water. I never learned and I had some bad pool/ocean experiences as a child.

4) I *hate* clothes shopping and I always drag a femme friend with me to help me pick stuff out because I have no color coordination.

5) I would rather have great vacations, great memories and great life experiences than a collection of material stuff in my home. If anyone ever breaks in here, they'll be really pissed off to find I keep nothing of significant value.

1. I am a prepper. Not in the sense that one sees on the prepper television shows...no I do not have a steel bunker buried in my backyard. :| I simply try to stay stocked up on food items, (that will keep without electric) batteries, non-gmo heirloom seeds, and any other items one may need should an emergency happen... economic, weather or otherwise.

2. My new favorite hobby is bushcrafting, it goes hand in hand with my enjoyment of fishing and camping. I've learned many skills that enable me to make all sorts of stuff.

1.. I dont really have a tangible sense of accomplishment for the 30 years I've been in my line of work...as in, I cant stand back hands on hips with puffed chest and say "I built that".

2.. I have to trust that in my 30 years I've made a positive contribution and a positive difference in my community.

3.. Anytime I can build, destroy, make, carve, do something "hands on" I'm all for it (that tangible sense of accomplishment thing again)

5.. Swinging a hammer is like worry beads for me, minus the occasional thumb strike. I love to build and just zen out, losing all track of time!

1) I'm the only one in my set of siblings who is not named after a member of my family.

2) I used to be a very out-going person. I can be a very outgoing person when the ocassion calls for it, but mostly I'm a very quiet person, private in most things that are near and dear to my heart. I am not the same person people might think they remember me to be, which often takes them by surprise.

3) I think the one thing that earning a formal education did for me was to erase my naivete. In some ways, I wish I never learned what I know now. In other ways, I'm grateful for the expanded set of mental skills I now possess.

4) I spend a lot of time in the kitchen. If I had a piano, I'd probably spend more time making beautiful melodies; but for now, making scrumptious foods is where I find time to relax - where I'm most likely to find my inner sense of peace.

5) I miss taking off at a moments notice and driving down to the coast or wandering up toward the high desert or a spur of the moment road trip to see friends who no longer live locally.

1. I love to spend hours at the gym. On cardio machines I watch t.v. or movies on a portable dvd player. Then I listen to nothing but my counting and lift weights and do yoga and stretches by myself. The gym feels like a place of spirituality for me.

2. For years I've liked to play a game I made up called "Get to Know me" based on an old Saturday Night Live ongoing character skit by Jon Lovitz with the same title ( http://www.nbc.com/saturday-night-live/video/get-to-know-me/n9794/ ). The idea is that I and the other person take turns asking each other questions for the simple purpose of getting to know things about each other. It's different from the "truth" in truth or dare because it doesn't have a goal to make the person on edge but truly to get to know the person more (and if the person feels uncomfortable with the question, they can ask for another as much as they want). If you ever see me at the Reunion and want to play this game, just let me know. It's a very chill activity.

3. I love that BB and I belong to a Jewish synagogue that is so progressive that it has a definition page in the front of it's program for words like "cisgender" and always a reminder that all bathrooms at the synagogue are open to everyone. Literally thousands of people attend the free holiday services led by our lesbian rabbi, and it makes me feel good about living in NYC.

4. If a close friend tells me that it feels disloyal for me to talk to someone who they feel they've been wronged by, then I won't, because loyalty is tremendously important to me. Otherwise, I tend to be friends with everyone at varying levels of closeness.

5. I talk to my mom on and off on the phone all day. BB thinks we are funny together and loves to listen to us talk, which is lucky, because we live in a small apartment!

1. I have a "almost but not quite" phobia about water

2. which could be from a near drowning while rafting on the Colorado River...I flipped my oarboat in Lava Falls and got pinned under it

3. but it could also be attributed to rescuing a riverboarding client stuck in a huge whitewater hydraulic which was recirculating him..I got him out but I got pulled back into it ..think of a spin cycle in a washer round and round and round , I popped out when the world went fuzzy.

4. Or being a rescue/recovery diver and recovering drowning victims...some had been in the water for a while.

5. But then again, it might be from seeing catastrophic injuries to swimmers caused by reckless boaters...

but I really love the calm (?) of being on , in or near the water :titantic:

My linen closet is perfect. I used to work in the linen dept of a smacy store. All my folds are perfect, it's second nature to me now.

I also was the one who made the beautiful beds at linens-n-things. I was a bedding specialist, such a title!

I can refold sheets back into the package as well.

I made flannel pillow cases for my staff at work, this past Xmas.

Now if I could perfect a neat pantry! Lol

- I like to go browsing for unusal items of interest in antique stores.

Watching too much Top Chef, Chopped, etc...leads me to conducting bizarre experiments in my kitchen.

Integrity gets a lot of mileage with me. Add common courtesy and common sense to the mix and the mileage drastically improves.

While in the presence of someone I'm attracted to, the ability to form a complete sentence that reflects any sign of intelligence magically leaves me.

Without apology, I will defend what is right over what is popular.

If I'm not sure how to read someone, I observe how they interact with children and animals.

1. I had to have my Chevy Pickup towed today. :( Thankfully I have AAA! :)

Some know but most do not, that I am big time into Bushcrafting, (the short answer to that ? on your face is, it's wilderness/primitive skills, tool making etc.) and as part of the process, I am learning to do a weaving method called finger weaving. It's very cool, but is also painstakingly slow to do. I am weaving a hatband for my bush hat with 16 strands of fine jute twine.

3. A person in the queer community, but offline, laughed at me when they found out I was learning this finger weaving. I really do not care what they think about it. It's cool, and I'm doing it, and that makes it even cooler! :nyahnyah:

4. I love finding interesting free books to add to my Kindle collections.

5. Of all that I've lost, I miss having a partner and I miss having a fishing/hang out buddy the most.

I'm actually rather shy in person, bashful even and quick to blush. If I am really attracted to a woman, I will do one of two things: find it difficult to talk / go quiet (does not happen as often) OR ramble like hell-- "a mile a minute".

I like cars, especially the old muscle cars. But I am not comfortable driving because of my vision, and I'll go out of my way entirely to avoid driving at night.

I was brought up in the "Church of Christ" and questioned everything they told me. It used to irritate the hell out of the preacher. Later, I converted to Mormonism, was preparing for the priesthood and had a "crisis of conscious" because I am trans. Although the ward I was a member of didn't fully comprehend my situation, considered it a birth defect, and accepted me, I couldn't do it. I'm pretty much an Agnostic. I guess you could say I am still searching.

I was a nationally-ranked musician in high school. At one point, I even dreamed of performing in the North Carolina Symphony. I was offered scholarships that would have paid for everything but turned them down as I did not want to pursue a career in music. It's one of the decisions I sometimes regret in my past.

I never dated after I left home for college. I came out as a lesbian in college (had not accepted myself as a transman at this point), but I was too shy to date. Friends were so concerned that I wasn't even trying to date that they would try hooking me up on blind dates. The first time I even considered saying yes, the girl, Darcy, said I was too short: I am 5'5" and she was a few inches taller, like... 5'8" or something. Most of the women I have dated since that time, ironically, have been taller than me.

1. I can not sleep unless I am hugging something. Either a pillow or the comforter (better yet, a lover).

2. Along the same vein, you know I've slept well if all of the bedding is bunched up in a ball in the middle of the bed when I awaken (nope, I don't do well with tucked in sheets. It's claustrophobic.)

3. If you feed me scrambled eggs or an omelette, please make sure that the egg is yellow and fluffy with no brown or scorch marks on it. This somehow manages to make it (the egg) feel unnatural and dirty. This however, is a mute point these days because I no longer enjoy eggs. Instead I detest them. Odd, but true.

4. I tend to leave a little of something all the time. A little bit of dinner, a little bit of a drink, a little bit of water, a little bit of wine. So much so, my mother calls me "leave a little ____ (insert real name here)".

5. While housecleaning, I tend to act out mini plays in my head. The catch, I play all the parts. Sort of my own version of a Telenovela. And yes, I speak the parts out loud. (don't judge)

4-) I will mock you mercilessly if you whip out your Kindle or whatever other craptakular e-reader you may possess, I believe in holding a book, carrying a book, smelling the pages, feeling the texture, enjoying the cover art , cluttering my House with Classics and Awesome books that I would read a thousand times, IT'S TANGIBLE !!!!!

5-) I believe 2 activities are very helpful in calming me down when I'm about to lose it {I'm a Red Head + Puertorican} *a*Dance *b*Going for a walk, a long walk...With or without Willow...hey, get back here with my fuckin shoe!!!!!

I dislike 'in betweens' (i.e. I like things very hot or very cold)

I adore small teddy bears. The more character the better.

I cannot resist a truffle. Don't ask me to.

2. I used to be very organized and timely and as I have grown older that has changed.
3. I was adopted by my grandparents and they taught me how to play guitar with music from their era. I find it quite embarassing. LOL!
4. One of my favorite past times comes from when I was raising my son. We would play Runescape together and I still do even though he has quit years ago.
5. I am feeling like this is a confessional. *Chuckles.

1. I am petrified by heights (yeah, funny cos I'm tall ...) not like, oh dear, can't do that, like, oh fuck, I'm two steps up this ladder and my knees are already shaking ...

2. I am trained to be a theatre technician, not medical, as in backstage, I specialised in prop-making. Spent months using liquid latex, never been able to look at the damn stuff the same way after spending two full weeks making and force drying, with a hair dryer, fake rats for production of the pied piper of hamlyn ...

3. I'm mildly deaf in my left ear from spending years stuck next to base bins (the speakers that carry the base tone) in clubs.

4. I was born premature, I was so small that my feet didn't come out of the terry towel nappies (diapers) and my feet didn't reach the crotch of baby grows.

5. One of my hobbies is painting and making Games Workshop models. I even have a GW based tatt. I got into it through prop-making, in the design stages of a production, the stage designer makes scale models of the sets and, if possible, scale models of props onstage to give the directors a better idea of what's possible, I spent a long time making those miniature props!
