I refer to JO usually as my partner....girlfriend at my age just seems odd to me..i think she refers to be as the same but im sure she will answer for herself later. Honestly i have struggled over the yrs on what to call my significant other...nothing seemed appropriate to me.

I usually say partner....unless I'm talking to Human Resources at my company, then she's my "DP" (for domestic partner).

Girlfriend sounds too young...and also too casual...and also like what I call my girlfriend Annie (who is my best friend, but different...)

And sometimes....Scoote's my candy-coated mean ass, but that's just sometimes
