5 Things:

* I like to overuse exclamation points!!!

* I don't hear well and if I am in a crowded room trying to have a conversation, I usually have to lip-read to understand the person even if they are standing within 3-feet of me. The lip-reading has come in handy over the years :)

* I am oddly drawn to the Cathouse series on HBO.

* Every day on my way home a Weimereiner that lives about a mile from our house waits for the truck to pass his house because we have made friends and I keep a bag of dog cookies in the truck just for him.

* Between The Planet, work, and personal, I average about 2 hours a day just reading emails.

As a newspaper editor, exclamation points are my mortal enemy. *grin* Journalism teachers will tell you that you only get one in your entire career, so use it wisely.

I can't read lips at all. That's a sucky thing, because yes, it does come in handy.

Tomato and mayo sandwiches rock. BUT, they MUST include pepper. Lots of it. And some salt, but not that much.

Dexter intrigues me.

If you don't know how to curse well, they will teach you at any newspaper. I had one co-worker who NEVER cursed -- until something went wrong on deadline and then she could drop the F-bomb like no other.

1. I was in Rockville, MD at an NIH conference, on the day that the "Beltway Sniper" shot his first person. The hotel was on lockdown for a few hours. When we left the hotel to go out to dinner that evening, I remember running from tree to telephone pole--I felt so vulnerable.

1) The first time I wore my pager, I was driving a country road and going through some twisty-turneys...my pager went off and I thought my guts were going to explode...I nearly put the car in the ditch.

2) My mom drove a Dodge Polaris custom...similar to the old California Highway Patrol cars...she was as wild as a march hare. One day my sister and I were sitting in the back seat (4 and 6 y.o. old ) and mom said 'HOLD ON GIRLS, WE'RE CLEARING OUT THE CARBORATOR' and she STOMPED it. I remember reaching for my little sisters hand, laughing at not being able to lean forward in the seat from the acceleration...and to this day when I stomp it I think of that!

3) I got grounded for life in H.S. when I dropped the transmission out of Dad's Mustang. I was speed shifting, racing my best friend Margo in her 442. She won :(

4) My friend Kerry had a 62 Chev Impala. We rolled down all the windows and I took The Walk...she was only doing 40 or so, but I managed get out of the passenger seat, walk around the outside of the car and plopped my young ignorant ass back in the passenger seat without killing myself.

5) I had a bunch of water balloons and my friends and I were off to find some action...We were driving about 40 and recognized my teacher's car coming toward us...at a good 40...obviously my physics lessons hadnt stuck....The combined force of an 80 mph impact shattered her headlight and destroyed her grill...I got grounded for life on that one too.

I can already curse like a sailor. I learned very young. :cheesy:

I agree. Pepper is a good addition to a tomato and Miracle Whip (Does NOT Suck, June!) sandwich.

I haven't seen Dexter yet. I have seen the trailers and ads and I think I'll like it but I haven't actually watched an episode yet.

I cannot roll my tongue either and it frustrates me to no end. I've lived in very culturally diverse areas and I'd like to be able to pronounce the names of folks properly.

Manners aren't in style anymore and that is truly sad.

My favorite color is Cobalt Blue.. not light blue.. not dark blue.. Cobalt Blue.

Very few people get Me. That used to bother Me. Now I think it is pretty cool. Because those that do, rock.

I have a sarcastic and dry sense of humor.

I listen to all types of music from Italian opera to Beyonce.

1~ I Can roll my R's {I discovered in the U.S. when I do this, the girlies Melt}....and my tongue in a "U" shape{it's proven to be genetic, if u have the gene, u can twist the tongue, otherwise, no dice}....

2~ In puerto rico, it was a Constant battle proving I knew English...in the U.S., it's spanish....How did I prove it?...in Puerto Rico I frequently won by saying Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious AND the english alphabet [only once did someone ever wise up..we wound up dating though -shrug-]...in the u.s.? When I stayed in a small town in Ohio, I usually impressed 'em with "La Bomba" by Ricky Martin...

3~ I used to Love agressive inline skating, nowadays I have to brush up, and maybe visit the park in athens...

4~ I collected beanie babies for years, recently I was furious and threw them all away...So yes, Short Fuse...

5~ When I have nowhere to go, nothing to do, and I'm wound up tighter than a jack-in-the-box, I will take Long Long hot showers to help me think {occasionally i'll sing/dance silly..what?..Beuller did it!!! I can be the walrus too !!!}:piratelaugh:

*I play a game I call Parlor tricks...Usuaully at Halloween or on camping trips. I give the person in front of me instructions to look around them..become whatever they choose within the area...see it in there mind...I get three guesses to connect and tell them what it is...It is a fun game for both parties.

*Some Native Amercian cultures and well as a few others..Believe that a person such as myself carries two souls...Due to my twin I absorbed. "I have no real opinion on this either way."

*One of my most favorite thing for me to do is to be by a creek or large bed of water and simply be alone to write or think or simply put my feet in and soak up the beauty.

*I love to BBQ and cook over an open fire the old fashioned way.

*Some of my favorite people who ever lived are Hellen Keller,Lady Dianna, Mother Teresa and Gandi...Just to name a few.

1) I can not roll my tongue. (It is genetic. My mom can't do it either.). I can, however, roll my r's when throwing out the little Spanish I have retained.
2) I love to skip rocks. I've used this a great emotion reliever. You pick out good throwing rocks, put all your angst, emotion, etc. into that rock and then sling it to hell and gone.
3) People are often impressed by the events I cover with my job and the people I meet. That would be the glamorous side. However, they rarely seen the non-glamorous side of it, which is waiting hours on calls and stomping down muddy sidelines in the rain covering high school sports.
4) I'm not a big fan of mayo. However, tomato sandwiches are the exception. Mmmmm. And I can go with white or wheat.
5) I don't usually eat white bread, but the biggest exception I make for it is at Dreamland Barbeque in Tuscaloosa, Ala. It is a MUST HAVE for dipping into the rib sauce. I once sat down with two other fellow reporters and between us, we wiped out four racks of ribs and two loaves of white bread dipped in the sauce. Heaven. And that's not even counting the ribs, which are divine.

Okay, I meant to say I can't roll my r's.

I can make my tongue do shapes but can't make it do the wiggly wave thing which is just creepy anyway, so it's no harm, no foul for me.

I may or may not be trying to do too many things at once tonight.

1. When I was in high school, I aspired to be worthy of my intellectual friends. I would only buy Penguin books, which, for the most part, I had to force myself to read. So silly.

2. I also subscribed to Harpers and Atlantic Monthly, which I always read and enjoyed.

3. Now I belong to a book club and I hardly ever read the books in their entirety. The last book was "Three Cups of Tea." We met at an Indian restaurant, which was the best part. That, and seeing my friends.

4. My first concert was Seals and Crofts. They played in a movie theater, where people actually lit lighters at the end of the concert. Ah...the good old days.

5. I was invited to Billy Joel concerts twice in high school. Both times, my parents found reasons to ground me.

2 - I like Mafia Wars so much that I have FIVE facebook accounts. One real facebook, and four that are exclusively for playing MW on.
3 - The only socks I am willing to wear are ankle socks. I hate all other socks.
4 - I briefly lived at a christian commune in Chicago in my early 20s.
5 - I hate Jim Carrey and can't watch any movie with him in it.

-1- I worked in a Scientology Center for 1 month...I did some filing, and organized Accounts...I marveled, each and every time, at the amount of money some people paid for Books and videos {ex: 1 Book I was browsing, I checked the Price, and almost dropped it, $450.00}..I did leave, after I realized they weren't gonna pay me with Money, but rather...Auditing Lessons...

-2- I spent 3 summers working as a Sports Counselor in a Deaf childrens summer Camp...I would happily do it again if I could, I bumped into the kids frequently when I did grocery shopping, I would see them literally drag their parents to me, and Sign wildly about the stuff I taught 'em {At the time, I would mumble "this island is too small"..but then, I was 18 when I said that}

-3- Because I've been drinking strong coffee since early childhood, it's very Rare that Caffeine will have any effect on me...on the same subject

-4- Anesthesiologists have a tough time with me..it's not so much 'allergies', but rather, I'm resistant to sedatives..Generally , they have to give A lot, or I will wake up mid-surgery {it's happened}..I had a tooth removed recently, the dentist was merciful, after giving the max dose to numb my gums, I still felt it...she added a bit more, it helped, a little..the tooth was deeper/bigger than she expected..

-5- I break the ice with Humor..And I do try to quash tense moments with it as well...If it doesn't work, I drop the humor, and let 'em stew...

3. I have been accused of being too nice ~ a doormat, even......but when I'm backed into a corner, watch out..... that surprises even me.

4. I think cows and goats and alpacas are some of God's greatest creations.....and I want a whole field of them someday.

5. I use these ......................... in extreme. Ok...that's no secret.

I am craving fries right now and may just have to go next door to Jack in the Crack to get some, even though they totally went traitor on me and changed their 'natural' fries to generic ones that you can find at McD's or BK.

Today is the first day that my new to me shoes haven't hurt my toes. I'm breaking them! BTW, the 'in' was not left off.

I'm watching SNL for the first time in years. :guitar:

I've been incredibly bored and frustrated and irritated today.

1. The only thing I don't have that I want (besides a pygmy goat) is a vintage, upright piano.
2. I do not know how to play the piano, but it's a small detail.
3. I am getting so forgetful, that I think I already posted about the piano in here.
4. I have a large, useless collection of vintage jewelry boxes
5. When I go to the Urban Farm store in a bit, I am going to whine about getting more chickens, even though I don't want any.

If I had known this a little more than year ago, and you paid the shipping, you have already had an upright piano. Vintage, yes. Functional, not so much. But you would have had it. That's what you get for keeping your secret desires...secret.

I love vintage xmas decor. Now that I have this wonderful old home, I am going to start seeking out some red cellophane window wreaths and plastic candleabras and plaster nativity sets..

my christmas tree has a rose theme to it. Its covered with bulbs decorated with roses on it, with white, cream, gold and bronze pearl strands used as trim. Add lace streamers, in a soft champagne color. The topper is a steepled decoration with a rose on it as well. It really fits my Rose Cottage now!

I love sleeping alone...

I dont like orange food (cheese whix, cheetos) except for carrots. I love carrot salad!

I am a fan of forensic tv shows

* I have about 100 pairs of shoes and only regularly wear about 5 pairs. Time for a major purge.

I love to watch CSI, SVU, L & O, Cold Case, Criminal Minds, etc because I just KNOW that the things I learn from them will come in handy one day.

I was rejected by the Army when I tried to enlist due to lack of papers regarding a surgery I'd had at age 5. At that time, I could have probably been molded into a damn good soldier. Now, I'm way too set in my ways and question authority too much.

I saw Rudolph and Santa once. Well, I thought I did. Looking back (and not being 5 anymore) has led me to believe it was a very low flying plane instead. Sadness.

One of my housemates has a Darth Vader Mr. Potato Head. I covet it.

 in the past year, our apartment has been transformed and no longer resembles my butch pad – it’s now quite lovely, comfortable, and stylish; this adventure has helped me hone my HGTV side

 I now look forward to a trip to the grocery store [a place filled with this nonsensical stuff called “ingredients”]; I love traversing the aisles, planning the meals, and finding fun treats – all while watching her dance to the rockin’ muzak

 the rediscovery of this city with my angel has given me so much joy; to love this place and be able to share it with her makes everything new and exciting – I figure it’ll take another 30 years of living here to show her it all

 though I personally cannot draw nor even finger paint, in just short of 10 months I’ve witnessed prolific creation at its finest, with a front row seat to real inspiration and hard work that lead to art (in many forms); she’s like “wow”

4. I often have lots to say, but I'm actually super shy, so I'm quiet in public forums. I would have 3 or 4 times as many posts as I have now if I didn't delete everything before I posted.

5. Mary Ingalls from Little House on the Prairie had me obsessed with blindness as a little kid. My favorite thing to play was "Blind School" and my mother hated that I often pretended to be blind in public, like when we were grocery shopping. I've been blind in my left eye since I as 19. Coincidence or jinx?

(and 6. I'm a little on the odd and quirky side.)

2. My mom hated grocery shopping and I've always loved all kinds of shopping (it's the thrill of the chase/finding the sale I think) and so I would take inventory and make out our grocery lists from a very early age. I'd say we ate pretty good and I got my mom to try Harvard beets because they were pretty and purple and in a resealable (although glass) jar.

I know how to fly in dreams, and if I realize I'm dreaming, I do it deliberately. I haven't done it in a while, though.

A lot of the time, I feel like an "imposter" in my work. After 25 years of experience, I still wonder if I really make a difference.

I used to wear skirts all the time. Since starting my new job, I haven't worn a skirt or dress. Maybe I will, tomorrow.

My dog wakes me up every morning by laying on me (she is an American Bulldog Boxer mix and weighs 106 pounds) I like it

When on vacation I call and speak to my dog on the phone, I know she doesn't understand but it makes me feel better to hear her breathe

I am teaching my dog to obey hand signals; she is up to 5 commands in a row all without me uttering a word. This makes me feel like she and I are a secret spy team

I like the way my dog's paws smell

When I am stressed and miserable very few things make me feel better than to be lying on my side and feel my dog curled up against the small of my back

I have a problem with feeling insecure and apologizing repeatedly to Daddy for things that I do not need to apologize for... This is deep rooted and he gently redirects me to think positively and know there is nothing to apologize for...

when i was young, I had a wishnik coloring book that I loved so much. I colored in it so carefully and treasured it so much. I thought the cover was brilliant and it was thicker than most. I felt so lucky to have that book. Yet, I have no idea when it stopped existing in my childhood...where it went or why.

I was raised by parents who were first generation American and blue collar, farmers and steel workers.

I didnt know sheets came in sets or that silverware could match or that dinnerware included a saucer for the cup and a cup was not the same thing as a coffe mug, until I was 18 years old or later

I almost swallowed mercury as a child. And almost stuck a hairpin in the outlet at the bottom of a telephone/electric pole as a teen. I escaped my lack of commonsense to grow grey...

I went to a Boy George concert right after I gave birth to my daughter..I had a huge crush on him..go figure!

If your caloric intake wasn't set by a doctor and is monitored regularly by said doctor and will only be for a short time, there's a reason it's hard. It's unrealistic.

I am 5 feet one and a half inches tall and I think you are taller than me. I weigh about 140 now and my MINIMUM caloric intake (verified by a health professional) is 1300 calories. That's the lowest I can go without doing damage (either temporary or permanent) to my body. Someone taller and/or larger than me would require more calories than just over 1000 per day.

I am genuinely worried about this number. I'm sorry if it seems as if I'm butting in (okay, I am butting in) but this feels wrong.

Having said that, I miss living in Daytona, because I also enjoyed walking the boardwalk and strolling on the beach (though I preferred the quieter, more private beaches further down).

I'm stoked for you for college. Good luck!

I just won't date a woman that I find intellectually lacking. I just can't do it. And yes, sometimes, I think I am a snob about this which doesn't feel good internally.

The older I get, the less I care about what other's think of me and even less about those that talk about others behind their back - and those that listen. GRRRRRR...

andrews list made me think...

:penguin: I get a kick out of playing Naive at first with strangers when they assume I'm very young {Campus LGBT center director kept saying it would be difficult for me to Mingle, most are 18, stick together, being 23 would be slightly difficult...I shrugged and said, "I'm not a cougar, nor am I cruising, besides, they were probably in pampers, if born at all, when I had my first kiss" :sunglass: }

:penguin: When I'm in a really rotten mood, I'll watch Psych. Thrillers, or Slasher Horror to feel better.

:penguin: I'm a polyglot & self-taught sommelier.

:penguin: also a very very.....veryveryvery picky chocoholic.

-I think first and feel later (this is a double edged sword)
-I sometimes come off as unemotional when in reality I feel things quite deeply I just don't show every emotion I feel when I feel it.
-I am SUCH an INTJ (this should explain some of the above)
-Although I am quite comfortable comforting someone who is upset when it comes to people who live their lives at a high level of emotional reactivity, I am at a confused loss as to how to deal with them.
-I am working on the above, but sometimes it feels like learning another language, a non romance language

ok... heres some more on me....

1. I think lists should always have bullets or numbers, and I work hard to sometimes form ones that dont.

2. This is not one of those times.

3. I am more confortable with things I know, to the extent, that I am still listening to the same music I was in high school, and it takes me a long time to add anything new.

4. I really HATE to be alone, especially when I am working on things like cleaning.

5. I love airplanes, and if I could take a trip that required being on an airplane twice a year, I would be overjoyed.

When I was a kid, I used to do a lot of things with one hand. My father was missing a hand, and I was always curious about how he managed - so I trained myself to do things with one hand to see what it was like. He always found it amusing, but at the same time, it (and he) taught me to be grateful for things we don't often think about having.

I really can't wait for our veggie garden to start growing. I've developed an obsession with Mare's homemade salsa.

I used to love adding sugar to my coffee (or cereal). I no longer add sugar to anything I eat or drink and find myself actually enjoying the miracle of Equal. (But I haven't given up my Pepsi....yet....)

I have an obsession with lights. I've recently lined the driveway/walkway with solar lawn lights and spotlights, and will soon be working my way into the yard. I love all things solar.

The next door neighbor has the most adorable bulldog. I want to steal him. (But, I won't, for now....)

I never wanted a pony, wanted to play the guitar, or marry any rock stars. I thought Barry Manilow was sappy, and I didn't wear makeup until I was an adult.

I'm easily embarrassed and usually think that I had something to do with any problem in my vicinity, even if it had nothing to do with me. It's a kind of perverted egotism....

There isn't a day that passes that I don't think about money: how to pay bills, how to have enough to retire, how to do the things we want to do.

Having my kids grow up has been unexpectedly sad for me. My daughter graduated from college on Saturday and I was taken by surprise by my sadness.

When people in my neighborhood (who I don't even know) have parties, I always feel a little hurt and left out. Crazy.

1. I am an extremely quiet person. I sometimes worry that there's not enough noise to stimulate my :dog:'s mind (and this in turn elicits feelings of guilt)

2. I have almost every song ever written in my head(and can bring forth excerpts of said songs at any time). Yet I can not for the life of me rememember why I have entered a room most of the time. I blame my shrunken hypothalamus (no, it's true. It does shrink!)

3. I used to be a morning person. Now, I don't know what I am. I'm thinking it's possible I've become a *mid-morning* person (but mid morning is simply not practical). Perhaps because I sometimes stay up too late? But I'm not a *night owl* either. It's a conundrum. No joke.

4. Despite my Sunnyvale upbringing I've been known to use a four letter word on occasion. Actually that word was fudge (of course I realize that's more than four letters, but I use it like four) okay, I might use a bit of a stronger word now and again.

I have to have at least two cups of coffee in the morning, otherwise I am either bearish or zombie like during the day. However, I won't normally drink coffee after 11am.

I'm not the cranky, grumpy type when I wake up in the morning. It's not often I wake up with a grump face on. Some mornings even consist of song.

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day.

I make up personalized songs to sing to my cat(s). Each one had their own special lyrics. Now, I am down to one cat, and (lucky him, lol) he's been getting full attention.

In the past, I have been accused of being too aloof. However, those that know me well know that I'm much more sensitive than I appear. I was always taught to not let things show. Inside, I could be a raging emotional mess, but externally, I'll appear quite Spock-like. On the upside, this "quality" has spared me from engaging in a lot of senseless drama.

I was supposed to be a redhead. I know this and have known this for all my life, so when the dye comes on, I'm headed that way. I'll most likely go auburn.

Redheads also have a chromosome that makes it more difficult for anesthesia to work properly, so they need more of it given to them. Same with Novacaine, I've read. Do you find that that is true for you?

That would explain my "resistance" to anesthesia...
Anesthesiologists have a dandy time with me...2 times in OR, i woke mid-surgery, they did take precaution the second time, they kept poking my lower back with numbing shots...

My latest dental appointment, the Dentist mercifully went beyond the 'limit' a little, tooth was deeper than she thought, and I still felt the "crunch" before she yanked...

When they performed a bone marrow biopsy, the shot didnt kick in until i was in the elevator back to my room, I kept hitting the numb spot, sayin shit that would make a salty pirate blush...

When they had no choice but to put a Femoral artery Catheter, he gave a local sedative, I felt every bit of it, u'd swear I was being tortured if u walked by my room...

Although I am not a red head, I know shocking, my ex is. When she was here to get dental work done I was shocked at the amount of Novacaine she needed. She told me then this was the norm for her, even for surgeries.

So I am guessing yes, there must be some truth to it.

Redheads also have a chromosome that makes it more difficult for anesthesia to work properly, so they need more of it given to them. Same with Novacaine, I've read. Do you find that that is true for you?

*member of the redhead fan club*

Nods.. This is true...

Some Dr will believe you and adjust accourdingly, others call it a myth and start cutting before you are out...

:heavyweight: I love watching Law and Order (and all variations of it). :police:

:heavyweight: Soft Crabs! I can hardly wait until the whales arrive! I also love soft shell clams! I could eat soft crabs & soft shell clams 3 or 4 times for dinner or lunch each week all summer long. I just love seafood. The BP spill in the Gulf makes me sick. Just sick. :jollyroger:

:heavyweight: My lawn, patio, and garden is my obsession. I never had a green thumb until I moved here 12 years ago. :smelling-flower:

:heavyweight: John Deere push mower - I loved it while it ran! Then when the engine died, and everything else rusted thru, the cost of upkeep was more than I could ever afford. :lawnmower:

:heavyweight: Dino's tropical dog collar is one of my favorites. :doghead:

Im scared of the dark lol

I dont need an alarm clock. I can think in my mind the exact time I need to wake up and I wake up 15 min before. Ive done that my whole life.

I detest being late to anything.

I cant stand for someone to be late

I am very, very self-conscious about pretty much everything.

I am not particularly observant or considerate, but I do try. Some days, I'm more successful than others.

I keep waiting for my ship to come in, but with another birthday approaching, I'm starting to think that maybe I missed it.

I love to ride b*tch and miss having someone around who would let me ride with them.

I watched Uptown Girls with Brittany Murphy yesterday and was thinking how sad it was that she passed from such a preventable illness and wondered how her family was doing and this morning learned that her husband died. Weird.

1. My favorite comfort foods are tomato soup & a grilled cheese sandwich, or macaroni & diced tomatos. Both are things my mom used to make for me as a kid ~ and it instantly makes me feel better.

2. I can watch old John Hughes movies over & over (Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink, Some Kind of Wonderful). The soundtracks are some of my favorite music.

3. I love coffee, but can only drink it if it's cold outside. Now that spring/summer is here, I've switched to drinking frappuccinos or iced coffee.

4. I can't use any soap or bodywash that is green, like Irish Spring. It's a wierd quirk, that I have no idea where it came from, of thinking I'll smell like a tree.

5. I overanalyze things to an extent that I sometimes have to put myself or have someone close to me, put me in check. I've even had hypothetical arguements with people IN MY MIND, and actually gotten myself worked up over something that has never happened.

I used to fence in college :fencing: ...seriously.

I have delivered one foal and more calves than I can recall. It helps to have small hands. :farmcow:

I embrace the fact that I am a pushy broad. It's been the source of some of the best things in my life.

I have absolutely no sense of direction. I get lost in elevators, make a lot of U-turns...and please do not give me directions that say "go 1.2 miles north." I will never get there.

I am a statistical anomaly...I have two masters degrees, been married three times...and others (both good and bad) that I do not care to share. The only truly average thing about me is my height.

Im very sensitive.

Even though Im shy when you first meet me once I warm up to you Im very loud and opiniated.

Whats on my mind comes out. I have no "edit button"

Im a very giving person. I dont like to see people go without. My friends get on to me about it all the time lol. Cause if its my last 5 dollars and someone asks me for it I give it to them.

My sweetie and I joined Weight Watchers together last week. I'm VERY excited!

I have been on some kind of "diet" for most of the past thirty eight-years, even when I wasn't really overweight.

I love listening to the sounds of nature in my own neighborhood.

I prefer silence to the sound of music or the television.

I love spending a weekend day driving to a nearby destination. It's like a mini-vacation. Up next: a butterfly sanctuary and the Adirondack Wild Center.

When I lived in London and was homesick, I'd watch The Big Chill. "Where's Kim???" "Oh, watching The Big Chill." "Bloody h**. Okay, carry on."

My peonies, roses, and clematises are blooming and it makes me deliriously happy. I just wish the old man was here to see it.

I can't wait to golf again, it's worth it for the lessons alone.

Okay, it's hot watching him golf, too.

Four is my limit today, I'm shy. Oh wait, that's five - nevermind.

The dryer just dinged. My clothes are dry!

The past couple of days have been peaceful and full of laughter and joy. I like it.

I sometimes talk (or sleep walk) in my sleep. Usually during times of high stress. Once when I was eight, my parents found me in the closet reciting my Times Tables (i.e. 3x3 is 9 etc..)

When I am upset I become ridiculously cold.

I am currently studying to take my California Real Estate License exam

I love to tell jokes but I can never really *tell* them. The end result is someone (or a group of someones) staring at me as if I have three heads

If given the choice between having chocolate to eat for the rest of my life or lemon desserts, I would choose lemon.

I'm hungry. I thought someone mentioned pizza. Maybe I should traipse downstairs to find out if I was only dreaming/wishing it so.

I'm off tomorrow and get to see a buddy I haven't seen in a while! Woot!

* I recently discovered the wonders of Glucosamine Chondrointin and it has changed my life. My knees thank me. :)

* I cried this morning when I saw a photo of a dead dolphin on the internet from the BP spill in the gulf. I cried again when I passed a cow truck going to work and saw the faces of a bunch of little scared calfs. I am dangerously close to becoming a vegetarian.

1. I am seriously way bad about hanging on to people/things/etc. in my life.
2. It's raining again (shocker) but I really don't mind. Makes me think. Lots of good thoughts.
3. I want a new phone, but can't decide which kind (Droid, Storm, that sort) that I like best.
4. My former colleagues voted me most likely to get brain cancer if cell phones do indeed give it to you as I always had my phone glued to my ear back in the day. Not so crazy busy with it these days, but I still do a freak out if I'm away from it from any extended time. I love my cell phone, love texting, love surfing on it, love being connected 24/7.
5. I'm a hard-headed SOB, always gotta do things the hard way, it seems, and it doesn't matter what good advice my friends give me. I take it into account, but will pretty much do my thing regardless.

I once let an adorable little girl - that had "challenges" - paint my finger nails all kinds of funky bright colors...some even had 3 different colors that CLASHED..., just so we could get her to talk and open up enough to interact with people around her. (I never paint my finger nails, but couldn't resist her wanting to "show" me how she wanted me to paint her's...but she wouldn't express it verbally.)

When I was 3-6 years old...my step dad called me "Squirrel"

I have slight nerve damage on the right side of my face... makes me shy to smile because my smile is lopsided and I HATE to have my picture taken.

I HATE onions!! (people always make fun of me for that one)

I used to hang my little sister's Barbie dolls on the clothes line...and snicker when she was too short to reach them, but would climb like a monkey to get them down. Trust me, she got paybacks. She and I both have MEAN right crosses!!

I have an obsession with caprese salad

I almost always think that I've left my purse on top of the car. I Panic first and then realize that it is in the back seat where I usually place it. Sometimes if I'm on a road trip and I've stopped to walk Lulu, I panic thinking that I've accidently left her behind (until I see her in her carrier that is). I'm working on squelching the panic and using critical thinking skills first. Uh huh. :|

I love rocks. I love to collect them, look at them and display them (I'm pretty sure this makes me a nerd). They are considered a "metal" element in Feng Shui.

I have cordless telephones but strangely I prefer an old fashioned princess style phone with a fifty foot long cord. When I first bought the cord I worried that Lulu would become entangled when I walked around. Luckily she has learned to stay a few paces in front of me to avoid danger!

I have the strangest desire sometimes to play with Barbies (don't judge). It doesn't seem fair that little girls get to have all the fun.
