5 Things No One Would Know About You From BFP Alone

I smoke and it has been an ongoing struggle to "kick the habit". Still trying.

I am somewhat of a hippie and love that era and surround myself with peace signs and try and view the world in this optimistic, love for all place.

I had many eye surgeries as a child and almost lost my sight. But, my eyes are fine now.

I have always been a girly girl but was somewhat of a tomboy in pink in elementary school. I was the one of the first girls chosen when picking sides in football and kickball. Still love sports and, even at my age, was on a women's softball team two years ago.

I collect tiny little tea sets and i still have some from when i was a child.

When eating hot cheetos, I suck all the chili powder off, take it out of my mouth, look at it, then chew it.

I’m ok with most chores, but putting away clean laundry… God have mercy.

Speaking of laundry, it bugs me if the hangers in my closet don’t face the same way. But I don’t care if I hang clothes up inside out.

When I’m texting someone and I’m excited I will read the last message they sent me and the last message I sent them in different voices and laugh.

I’m terrified of Oprah.

I practice doing most things with only one hand in case I lose the other. Although absolutely left-handed (except golf and the guitar)...I am now quite ambidextrous.

I am afraid of only snakes and can not even bring myself to touch them in books. Forget watching a Tarzan movie where inevitably an anaconda will drop from the trees onto some poor, unsuspecting safari-goer.

I like spam and jelly sandwiches...but it can only be apple jelly.

If I eat a candy bar I will sometimes put the wrapper in my shoe and walk around with it in there all day. It is sorta like it is my little secret.

When my cat talks to me (which is all the time)...I always pretend she is telling me how stunningly beautiful I am and carry on that conversation until she tires of it and seeks sanity in another room.

I don't have or watch television. With the exception of a miserable six years living with a long-ago ex, I haven't had a television since I left my parent's house at 17. That was, um, a long time ago.

The list of foods I can eat has probably become shorter than the list of foods I can't eat.

The sight of oatmeal can actually make me gag.

I've never belonged to a gym.

If I ever become so disabled that I can no longer ride motorcycles, I've told all my friends to just pull the plug.

I have a rare blood disorder, the two main bad things about it- makes my blood vessels overreact to the cold making me get colder faster, and the biggy- if I get cold and my body temp drops even a degree or two my blood (abnormal proteins and antibodies in it) starts to gel... yes gel. So I can't stay warm on my own well and if I get cold I can die, the in between state just is slightly painful.

I play guitar when I'm stressed, and I play a lot around the holidays- too much hubbub around shopping etc., which I love, shopping that is,,, just not holiday shopping, the crowds and the florescent lights in the stores drive me batty.

I love old style decor, not old timey, not mod but real old style, Victorian etc. etc. and deplore modern eg: a white cube with a piece of glass on it for a table... ew, abrasive to the soul (my apologies to those with such decor, just not my style at all ;)

I'm a misanthropist, though make no mistake those close to me have my total love, loyalty and adoration... it's all those idiots out there I can't stand... heh.

I once was arrested for riding my motorcycle atop a block wall, onto a bank building and jumping down on a berm on the other side in downtown. They couldn't catch me but arrived later at my house where I saw them out the window feeling the engine of my bike for warmth... they said the recognized me by my black leather pants, I fought it in court based on that but lost.

I have blue green color blindness. Because I changed the rods and cones in my eyes by wearing purple, yes purple tinted lenses in the 70s.

I was a disco queen. No shit. Honest to god. And was damn good at it. I had people lined up all night wanting to dance with me.

I absolutely hate to dance now, except of course when i am hallucinating in a sleep clinic study. Then I belly dance and do my best to engage "my friends" to join me.

As a child, i was an alien cow one year and the "wow factor" was that I came from Udder Space...

when i get busy irl i tend to slip away from here, sometimes for a long time, but i always miss it and make time to come back.

i think i am more agreeable than is good for me sometimes.
i find small little things very gratifying - like eating cherries or grapes or jello, making or following lists, getting lost in big poofy bed things, 10 or less minute daily convos with Someone, making my way through a book (especially when it shows as thousands more pages on kindle).

1. I have laughed at funerals. Not that I have meant to of course, but to me, there is a very fine line between some emotions, and when I feel overwhelmed, I kind of loose it. It is embarrassing, and I feel horrible, but trying to explain myself is often pointless.

2. I've known some people who after their shower, leave the curtain open because then no one can be hiding behind it, but I have to have it closed after my shower, so it can dry completely, mold and mildew free.

3. When I go for a walk, my cats come with me...they just follow me without a leash...I think the neighbors think I'm nuts.

5. If the world is going to end this year, I'm at peace and ok with that. I'm ready to go.

~ I am horribly accident prone and have: cut myself with my fingernails (twice); cut myself on ice (three times); broken both baby toes (at least 3 times-EACH); burned myself on Ramen noodles (once) and scalded myself in boiling water (three times).

I am an excel geek. I can spend HOURS creating spreadsheets.

Once I got punched by a little old man who got pissed at me for throwing him out of our poker room. He then sued me for 3 million dollars.

…Well, I’ve said of my love for going barefoot; my sonar like hearing and various other tidbits about me…..

I have an imaginative approach to life and bring creativity to most things I do….. I’m a genius (apparently) at making a meal or day special with very little.

I may not be Zen in every aspect of my life, yet, I try to find balance and harmony. It’s the “AAARRRGGGHHH!” moments that get me! LOL!

Speaking of “AARRGGHH!” moments; I can mimic the Xena, Warrior Princess’ war cry to a tee! :blink: I use it to great effect when students are rowdy and not paying attention. It also works on my Cats to stop them fighting…

The ringtone on my phone has been “Tequila” by the Champs for many years. The Text message tone is the Swedish Chef’s version of “Popcorn”.

I’ve never really liked junk food, although, I have weaknesses for Kumara chips and mushy peas (very Kiwi, lol!) and Bavarian Hotdogs made with Vegan sausages.

One of my biggest phobias, besides Tortoises is Clowns! I’ve sort the help of a Psychologist to help me get over my phobia, only it made it worse!

…OK! That’s more than 5, but, it’s Saturday and I had to go shopping this morning, so I switched my brain off! :| LOL!

1. I am unable to wear a watch on my wrist because I drain the battery within hours. I have tried putting a piece of tinfoil between the watch and my skin, but it still won't work!

2. I read for about an hour every night before shutting off the light to sleep. I also prefer books over all those electrical gadgets, like ipads and kindle's. Keep your kindle, give me books!

3. I do not own a cell phone, ipod, ipad, mp3 player or anything like that.

4. I read the sports pages, do the crossword and sudoku puzzles in the local paper everyday.

5. I don't like to microwave coffee to warm it back up. If it gets too cool to drink, I will just add ice to it and make it an iced coffee. Either very hot or very cold, I don't do medium!

1. I love shoes, I notice other peoples shoes. Friends know, without me asking, that I'll want to try their new shoes on and I have come home wearing them more than once :p BUT, I prefer to be barefoot whenever possible!

4. I'm very independent and capable. I can take control of a situation without being controlling.

1. All the women in my family have a few artistic talents, I draw, sculpt, crochet, sew, bake and cook, photography. I also can arrange flowers, and have done so for many weddings.
2. Playing in mud makes me happy, (happy is the G rated choice word) usually on a quad taking jumps off hills and splashing in the who knows how deep it is mud puddle below.
3. I had a serious accident a few years ago on a quad, and they didnt think i was going to make it the night, severe internal bleeding, and road rash, apparently i had more living to do..
4. I had bowel cancer when I was 19, 20 years of remission this year :)
5. I love driving fast over hills to feel my stomach drop just like on a roller coaster.

1. I love celery, and my favorite part is the leafy tops. I always choose the celery with the MOST fluffy tops I can get!

2. I will pick up 20 magazines at the library at a time. I will then flip through them quickly, attaching a paper clip to each page that I want to read further. When I have made my way through the magazine, THEN I will go back to each paperclip and read what I had book marked!

3. I sleep with the fan on for white noise.

4. I am a constant organizer, and I move my furniture around a lot.

The one musician I have never senn live and have wanted to see my entire life.....would give up my lesbian card...cut off my right hand....lose access to chocolate forever.....Cat Stevens AKA Yusuf Islam. I was very young when he left the music business and I cried for days.

As outgoing and extroverted as I am, sometimes I totally retreat from the world to re-evaluate myself and my life. I wish I was able to express this to friends and loved ones.

I carry cases of water and blankets around in my car to hand out to homeless people. It gets so hot here in the summer and cold in the winter. It's so sad. Much to my parents chagrin, I will pull over and offer these things when I am alone. For some reason, I am not afraid of getting hurt when I am doing the right thing.

Since I was 18, I wore my hair very very short. A year and a half ago, I decided to let it grow out, and it is halfway down my back.

I am an incurable insomniac due to some neck and back issues. But I have been fortunate to find the silver lining in this....I do my best writing when the human kid and animal kids are sleeping.

I love being under metal in a thunder storm, it is the sound of the rain on the car roof, house roof, carport roof, so loud and pounding then the thunder rolling gently over the roar, sigh

I love bug hunting. I deeply dig getting a butterfly net and sweeping it back and forth through high grass and seeing what I come up with.

I eat things in a certain order and my plate has to face a certain way. I am rarely conscious of doing this arranging but I do it every time.

If I do not see the utility of a task, I tend to not do it

I seriously think I am going to turn down a job opportunity to work in Japan because I can't take my dogs.
