5. If I nap late in the afternoon, I will most assuredly awaken cranky.

4. There are two kinds of cranky with me - the 'aww, that's kind of cute, out of sorts cranky' and the 'I'll bite the head off of a bat kind of cranky'. If you had to experience one of the two I'd choose the former.

1) I tell myself that I'm resilent and will overcome whatever obstacles may come my way because in reality, obstacles are not a part of my vocabulary: It's just takes me a while to covertly subvert obstacles and make them into something that is taste-worthy.

2) I have enjoyed not working so hard lately but in 48 hours, I'm going to work a 14 day stretch; then catch my breath and work another stretch of time; then next month, on a certain weekend, party like a Goddess. :)

3) My mom celebrates her birthday on Sunday (she's going to be 74). She's also been waayyyyyy toooooooo quiet. My 'radar' is uber-sensitive lately. :|

4) I've gotten smarter with pinging certain posts on fb: I ping the posts that send a loud clear message that I'm intolerant of racist, over-the-top biased social behaviors and it's paying off: cousins and certain other friends & family members have 'vanished' and are getting the message loud and clear.

5) EVen though life has been uber stressful since my birthday, I've been feeling rather playful lately.

`1) I am a procrastinator. To a fault. I use to have to live by deadlines and day planners. My schedule was so tight I rarely got home before dark and almost always left before daylight. Now, I fight to make sure that doesnt re-occur consciously but also, in a very passive aggressive unconscious way. I find myself missing appts. I forget meetings. I drag my feet on things that have a time schedule.

2) I hate hate hate talking on the phone. Its gotten much worse the past couple years. I think this comes from believing you could get to know someone and have a relationship with them if you spent enough time with them online and on the phone. (I learned this is SO not true) And also because there was a time when every phone call was a crisis, from my former line of work. It really doesnt matter how it started. What does matter is that there are dear friends I havent spoken to for almost a year because I cant stand to be on the phone. New friends know I have about ten minutes max before I start to get anxious. If you dont pick up my cues, or my direct request to get off by 30, there is a good chance I simply wont pick up the phone again when you call.

3) my fav purse designer is Dooney & Bourke. I would so die for one of their pink ones!

4) I religiously watch reruns of the 70s show and then Criminal Minds every night

5) I dont cry anymore I use to cry alot. I had alot to cry about. And that made me sensitive to things that would also move me to tears. I realized the other nite, that I hadnt cried much at all this year and when I did, it was over physical pain, not emotional pain.

1. I'm very compassionate. I come off here as being precise and exacting, but with a lover, friend, child, or service person, I am as patient and understanding as the day is long.

2. I don't place a lot of value in bodily form or integrity. I can be attracted to the right person regardless of her size or shape, and regardless of disability or affectation. I find all forms potentially lovable--depending on the personality of the person inside there.

3. While I come off here as very intelligent--I am--but I can also be disarmingly stupid about things. That's why those with complementary intelligences meld well with me. I'm dumb about so many of the more femme/subjectives things and I suffer from that.

4. I'm open to exploring friendships/relationships from anywhere. Though I am ensconced in Maine, with a son here and a full life, I am adventurous and long for more travel beyond the extensive moves and journeys I have done.

5. Probably my number one personal trait is that I'm comfortingly and frighteningly forward about what what I think and feel. You never have to wonder about me, "Man, what's that tapu thinking?" I'll fucking tell ya.

1- When I cook I need to have all the cooking implements (measuring cups, spoons, bowls etc) ready with all the ingredients out.

2- When I cook I need to clean up as I do (that is including washing dishes)

3- I tend to update my bankbook at least 2 a week sometimes more (depending if I am near a bank machine and I pay my bills at the ATM also....YES I am probably the rare few who do this lol )

4- I have an amazing respectful son.

5- My girl (f) and I are working towards immigration. We are hoping to start the paper work within the next month or so :) She is American and I am Canadian. The plan is for her to move here with my son & I.

PS If anyone has gone through this (American immigrating to Canada), if you are willing to, maybe you could message me and let me know how the process was for you :) Thank you.

It's all so individual.. can be easy peasy or a 5 year long pointless quagmire. Canadians and Americans seem interchangeable but we are not , on many levels, and that border can make a 20 foot difference into a thousand miles.

1. My college expenses where paid for in part via tennis scholarships. (with part time jobs filling in the void).

2. My education in college was with aspirations of being a National Park Ranger (life member of the GSA was my inspiration) until the first female Kansas park ranger was murdered 30 miles away from me.

3. I am not PC and sometimes it has caused my personal and professional biting of my tongue more times than I would prefer.

4. My son is my most important gift that I was and am able to give to all who know and share his presence.

5. I am not as good of a listener as I should be. I am deaf in my left ear

1 My best personal trait is my ability to get along and communicate with anyone. No matter their background, education level, handicap, age gender ...
you get the picture.

2 Helping people if only by listening is my biggest joy.

3 I grew up believing that I should be or end up in a better place then my parents were financially. I am better off in a lot of ways and more importantly I consider myself a better person.

4 Although I was never lucky enough to have children I think that the type of patent you are says a lot about you as a person. Which is why I do not have anything to do with most of my bio-family. After all kids and animals are the best judge of someone character.

5 I am the worse speller in the world to the point that it embarrasses me. No matter what I have done there ate just words that I can not spell and I am ok with this most times. However it has stopped me from going into chat and I dislike being corrected publicly. I am however very grateful for the Google browser since it has spell check :)

I dislike loud chatter and music, most of the time. I play music fairly low. Except when I don't.

I moan all the time about the rain which is unfortunate when I live in a place where it rains more than it doesn't. It isn't the rain that really bothers me though it's wet hair. If my hair didn't get wet I wouldn't care about the rain. My scalp feels itchy and dirty when my hair is wet even when wet from washing and I can't stand it! Don't much care for fluffy hair either but that isn't as annoying as the itchy scalp.

I have no internal thermometer, never have. Regardless of the weather, I am continually adding and removing layers throughout the day to compensate.

I need my kitchen cupboards, fridge and freezer well organised and tidy. I seal bags and boxes with sticky tape, elastic bands or pegs depending on what's in there. Do NOT just randomly through stuff in there. Newest to the back please. I do not do cupboard avalanches. Anything hitting my head, work surface or floor because it wasn't put away properly, can go straight in the bin!

If you don't want an honest answer, don't ask the question.

1) *surprise, surprise* I have health insurance now but I'm not so sure I will find the kind of service providers I would like to have. I'm not sure what to do about it, yet.

2) I give up, when it comes to my vision: My last glasses worked for a few months and now I can't see anything at all with them on. I fear that I am better off being half-blind, but I will find another eye doctor (soon).

3) I want to go swimming but it's not that time of year yet.

3. I recently had a mini facelift and my upper and lower lids done after years of saying I would ''never, ever'' have cosmetic surgery. I originally justified the eyelid surgery by saying that it was necessary in order to improve my eyesight, which it did (I have peripheral vision loss due to glaucoma/other eye issues). I'm now planning a tummy tuck for the autumn and won't be justifying it to anyone. (Go me!)

I'm shy in some things. I won't make the first move when I'm out with someone. I just can't. I haven't had to for the past decade so getting back into the Vancouver thing where butches don't make first moves (? Or something?) I have sat parked in a car outside my house for up to an hour talking, feeling really confused because aren't they supposed to at the very fucking least try to kiss me here? Isn't that the whole point of sitting in a parked car outside my house? And waiting.... And waiting.... And nothing.... Dum de dum.... Ok this is agonizing for me now, I don't understand why we are sitting here, I'm going to go. And I leave feeling horribly disappointed. Then confused as to why they are calling and asking me out again if they don't want to kiss/shag me. It's obviously not for hanging out, they are asking me on date things. But they don't try to kiss me and they don't ask to stay over or put their hand on my leg or....???

So if that happens twice, I turn down the third date. It seems that it's a pointless exercise in awkward and growing confusion. I've had one take me on six dates and nothing happened. Why? Why would I keep going? I have no idea what that person wanted from me. I don't understand. I finally stopped going and finally stopped responding to messages.

So, I can't make first moves. At all. I can ask someone to go hang out for a beer. But I can't make the first physical moves. Apparently this is a hideous handicap now. Wasn't before, now is.

I love the color of orange: My mom used to have a Satin blouse in a dark shade of orange and I'd find a million reasons to borrow her blouse.

I don't really care for famous brand cologne or perfumes. I like the natural scents of natural oils from flowering plants that one might find in a private scent collection made by independent producers of such finery.

I gave up hating the haters who hate me. Instead, I find reasons to punish them with loving, random acts of kindness. I feel better lately, having discovered that I could do such a thing.

I find reasons to wear my favorite pair of flip flops, even in bad weather.

I threw all my bras away before I found out how expensive bras are, nowadays.
I really need a few new bras and wish I hadn't thrown out my well-worn bras.

I'm a reluctant atheist. I wish I could believe in a god. However, logic dictates against the existence of god. Still, I liked Kilgore Trout's response in Breakfast of Champions to the query he found written on a bathroom wall “What is the purpose of life?” He wrote “to be the eyes, ears and conscience of the creator of the universe.” I just have to remind myself that neither a god nor a belief in a god is required to adhere to the spirit of that statement.

I'm someone who easily holds two (or more) contradictory or conflicting opinions. I seem to suffer no ill effects from this, no cognitive dissonance or stress. However being able to see many sides of an issue or problem allows for me to understand it from the perspective of another. This causes me to feel empathy for the other and her position. Which can upon occasion allow me to vacillate This sometimes leaves me feeling like I lack conviction. I believe I come across as wishy washy. Nothing feels set in stone for me. There are few constants. Over the years I have thought that perhaps I simply lack the courage of my convictions. But I think in order to have courage of conviction one needs to be convinced. And unfortunately I am rarely finished with a thought or a belief. I am always willing to examine it again and allow for a different conclusion. I don't feel good about this trait. It leaves me feeling indecisive and weak. Sometimes I wish I could be like those people who are so sure they are right and that their convictions are synonymous with truth. In some cases they are not even persuaded from what they believe by facts. There is a certain seduction in that kind of certainty. I think there must be comfort in being so sure of oneself.

I am too willing to hold up a proverbial mirror in the belief that people want to see themselves and like to look in it as much as I do.

I am too quick to forgive. I know I'm no saint so I doubt I'm just being nice. It makes me wonder if I have actually allowed myself to work through my anger before letting it go.

I talk too much about stuff nobody is interested in talking about. I know it's not that they don't want or like to talk because I hear them talking all the time. It's just something about my idea of conversation that is off putting. I see it in their eyes when I try engage them in chit chat. Their eyes say “chit chat, you keep using that word, it does not mean what you think it means.”

Bonus: I use waaaay too many words to say stuff. Upon further reflection I doubt this is something anyone who ever read one of my posts doesn't already know so nevermind.

Let's see five things...

Some times I feel like I should have been like a chef or pastry chef. I really love being in the kitchen cooking and baking and it brings me so much happiness when I can see someone enjoy whatever I made. I also can some times be seen dancing and singing around the kitchen while I am cooking. Although I have never let anyone see me do that.

I really wish I could live in the country in a house with no neighbors and a good size piece of land but I also want it to be close to my family and my work because I don't want to give those things up. So that is what stops me from living in the country. Priorities.

Third thing...I worry every day that today is going to be the day that my dad forgets who I am. I know in his heart he won't ever forget. He has alzheimers and it is progressively getting worse.

Fourth thing would be that I have really bad social anxiety. It has gotten better but I will avoid things I really want to do if it is going to require me to interact with others and even more so if I have to do it alone.

And the final thing is that I am a super picky eater. I have issues with textures on a lot of food and it causes a gag reflex for me. So I pass on a lot of food that actually looks like it is really good. I realize most of this is a mental block on my part and it is only within the last year I have started to try more things.

I was not brought up, nor socialized like many females.
My Father instilled and expected me to go beyond gender. It never occurred to me that I was not able to achieve anything that I desired , gender was no excuse as far as my parents were concerned..and that was one of the greatest gifts they've given me.

I have a love affair with books, and have a room dedicated to them.

I love to garden in the rain.

I sleep very deeply.

Nothing makes my heart happier than to see my loved ones happy,
and nothing can bring me lower than seeing them unhappy.

*I appear to be as tough as nails in many situations, but cute kittens, (yes-redundant, I know. ALL kittens are cute), are my Kryptonite. A live baby kitten can turn me into babbling mush. Photos and videos of same are nearly as effective.

*I've taught a straight woman, a butch, and a few gay men to wear high heels. Sa-SHAY they desired, and sa-SHAY they did!

*Back in the late 1970s when we thought they were about to become the hottest visual art medium, I spent a year making holograms.

*Once I find a motorcycle or a car that suits me, I just keep replacing the worn out vehicles with the same model.

*I love roses. The more old fashioned and fragrant, the better.

1. I would like to live in a zoo; eat, sleep, beat my chest now and again, then embarrass myself in front of onlookers. Nevermind that is my life already.

2. I had an imaginary friend as a child. His name was Toby. He had red hair, wore Osh Kosh B’gosh farmer jeans without a shirt and carried a sling shot in his back pocket. I only saw him from the back and never even came close to seeing his face. He giggled wildly and I would try to catch him as he ran through a small wooded area behind my house.

That I wake up many time in the night.
That I'm a graphic artist with no passion for my work. I love my job (in part) because I manage, distribute, and update art files instead of creating them.
That I'm not good at original designs but am good at copying others' work. I would be an excellent counterfeiter, but I don't have the patience nor the inclination.
That I had a car accident in 2014 where my soft-top car rolled over after I lost control after getting a flat tire while speeding on the freeway. I'm still amazed I walked away without even needing a band aid, though I am scarred mentally.
That I'm having the inside of my garage painted a pale color of pink over the next couple days. Am looking at some paint samples this morning, and may even create a mural in the garage, but for now i'm starting with a pink palette that may remain blank. Very stoked about this!

1) As I have aged, grown, I've noticed that I'm not as fast to drop kick problematic issues like I used to. But, under mixed combinations of trigger tripping circumstances, I am known to pull out my proverbial big guns and apply the perfect hush remedy.

2) I've had a few loves in life....but when Juan came into my life, my whole world burst into flames. I've fallen sooooo hard, for my Cuban Sugarman. He's so smart, I'm almost terrified of his intelligence, lol. I'm sure he probably thinks the same thing about me. When we're together, I know there's nothing in the world we can't face together. He's mine and I'm his, hook, line and sinker.

3) I love to drive, I'm proud of my near perfect driving record. But I might not ever drive again. And, I'm okay with that, for now. My near traffic fatality accident has traumatized me in ways that I couldn't expect.... I'm fearless, in so many ways. But life changed for me the day I nearly died. Maybe, in time, I will not be so deeply affected by the traffic accident.

4) I've always prided myself on my own independence. I've since discovered that I can't live without Juan. He's my whole world. He's all I can see, for miles and miles. We study each other with hungry eyes and devour each other like we haven't eaten anything in days. He drives his closest friends crazy with talking about me all the time. I have no idea if I'm driving my friends crazy, lol.

5) I've come close to swooning, a few times in life. I used to be so jaded and thought that swooning was just some imagined personal experience. Not anymore, though. Juan makes me swoooooon. Swooning is a very real thing. Juan proved that to me.

to bump this thread..five other things about me

1) I am Russian Slavik/Romany. My maternal grandmother was an actual "gypsy" and my paternal side had a relative that played the violin for the czars.

2) I often try to have the last word....its a character flaw and it gets me in trouble. LOL. Its not as bad as it use to be but yeah, it still lingers as part of me

3) I really worry about why there arent more cemetaries. People die all the time and I believe we just dont have as many cemetaries as I think there should be to account for all the deaths. We have more apartments than graves and there have been FAR more people who have died than people who are currently alive. Where are all the dead people?

4) Speaking of dead people, my daughter is a professional medium. She does readings at a local holistic alternative spirituality shop, on a regular basis. She has quite the local following. She has had this gift since she was a child..she was always conjuring up spirits!

5) I keep all my old jewelry in old purses. I have about three big handbags full of dated jewelry. I cant wait for my grand daughters to get bigger so I can give them to them!

1) I grew up in the Republican stranglehold of not only my home state, but was the only member of my family who did not adopt republican values or the typical mindset eschewed by members of my immediate family and extended family. I took a lot of heat for bucking family traditions. I was an outsider in my very own family. And I paid a huge price for it, growing up in my family.

2) I tend to favor the stories of the anti-hero, rather than buying into the story of the hero.

3) I'm not proud of having invested ten years of my life to become a member among the ranks of the so-called educated. Knowing what I know now is no different before I invested in an education. I'm not any smarter, thank heavens. I've just got a better set of .... skills, so to speak. Maybe one day I won't feel bitter about it, but I have grown cynical over time. I'm still growing, I'm still learning, I remain committed to an attitude of humility and seek to shape my life in ways which will help me to feel better about who I am and who or what I still could become.

4) I'm an artist, of sorts. I like to draw or paint or create sculpture.

5) I sometimes struggle with poetry. I appreciate poetry. I like to create poetry or prose. Sometimes I write vast amounts of literature; then I will go several years before my creative writing process comes back to life.

I love to make big meals for other people, and then hardly eat anything myself when it’s time. Recipes and meals are never the same twice, I have never followed a recipe all the way through, except for the cheese cake(I have yet to see it out done).

At some time in my life I want to acquire a decent parcel of property turn it in to a lovely bed and breakfast, grow my own produce. Knowing myself it would also end up a hodge podge of rescued animals.

I am crazy shy. Just awful at social interactions, my face flushes very red at the thought of talking to someone by choice that I don’t know, unless it is work related then I can talk laugh even flirt a bit, but speaking to someone because I might want to…. I’d rather turn tail or bury my head in the ground.

I love a rainy anything; I even prefer running errands and amusement parks in the rain.

I can never get there and their right, so I use other phrasing or rework the direction of my intention so I can avoid the words. I also can not spell some of the easiest words, but I can spell the more difficult so I appear to have a better vocabulary than I actually do.

I love reality T.V. and keep up with Hollywood drama.

I love food and choose restaurants by their atmosphere and rarely by their menu.

I organize clothes by outfits just so I don't wear the same outfit and bump into someone that I may have seen the day before.

When I get home from being out I almost immediately change into my 'at home' clothes.

I have been wearing the same perfume for 10+ years. I alternate between two. I'm thinking it's time for a new one. :)

Am quite partial to trains...be they passenger...freight or the kind that only I can pull.

Love city commuters and long rural lines, over water, over bridge, over prairie, but most of all in the desert deep where no one or modern building be. They're most beautiful at sunrise or best glorious at sunset.

Should I come back, I'd an engine be. Pulling hundred car freight trains from sea to shining sea.

1. I love green olives! On salads, on sandwiches, out of the jar!

2. One of the girls at my Starbucks thinks my name is "Josephine" because that's what I tell her every time I get my quad flat white.

3. Years ago I worked with a woman who was a complete asshole. She was mean and nasty to just about everyone in the office. One day she made another coworker cry and it pissed me off so bad that when the asshole left her desk to go to the copy room I farted in her purse and zipped it closed. No, I don't know if it trapped it but it was damned satisfying to think it did.

4. I am fascinated by people. I love to people-watch and I love watching the way people traverse the world of dating, work dynamics, and friendships. It's like people TV!

My favorite books in all the world are, The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran and The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. Both changed my life at different times in my life.
My weakness is pastry. I cannot and will not ever say no to cake or pastries (most). Because I'm a vegetarian people assume I would be thin (i never understand why that is) but carbs are a girl's best friend. Sheet caking is real.
I do not like domestic flowers, except for sterling silver roses. I am more the wildflower kinda girl.

Thinking of five things for this thread often feels so hard. It can take me forever, and sometimes I abandon posting on this thread because I get stuck. I have no idea why it's so hard :seeingstars:

For many years I've had a secret name for myself (actually perhaps even since childhood) that would become my name if I was ever "perfect." Sometimes I say that one day I will have that name but then I fail at being perfect, and the name migrates to the background. I kind of like having a secret name for myself that only I know even if I can't ever claim it, and even if the concept of being perfect is quite sad and troublesome. It's always exciting to have a secret and maybe especially a secret name.

I feel on this site I can be myself more than anywhere else on the "web."

I have more shoes now than I have ever had in my entire life, and I like each pair of shoes I have because not only are they terribly cute but they're terribly comfortable.

I do not care for nosy people.

I'm sort of a snob when it comes to purses. I don't care for brand name purses that have come to be some sort of status symbol. I like home made cloth purses or leather tooled purses. Purses that scream individuality and style. That's my kind of purse.

I take pride in paying off all my bills before they are due and I also take pride in living within the constraints of my own earnings. I'm not a proverbial money tree, but I do have an excellent credit rating that my banking institution says speaks highly of me. I guard it with my life, just like I guard my privacy.

I don't care for people who don't know how to shut up and listen, really listen. I tend to stay away from people who do not value a quiet, chaos-free style of living. I blame it on my ever deepening introversive personality as I value my introversion and ability to feel at home -- as a very quiet individual.

1. I have a no pet policy in the bedroom during our adult time! As much as I love animals I'm not cool with them being there during those moments, that just doesn't sit well with me.

I once broke up with someone I was dating because of her evil black cat.
The breaking point for me was when the cat decided to park itself inches away from where we were to observe the situation!! Thankfully nothing happened other than an argument as to why the cat was allowed to be there in the first place. I broke up with her shortly after that. She couldn't understand why. :|

2. Because of #1 I will not date anyone that owns a black cat or allows pets in the bedroom during our adult time. #sorrynotsorry.

1) I like the windshield's of my car sparkling clean: No streaks, no dirt or drippy tree sap on them. I like to see the road and not have the sun glaring off the windshield, so I clean them before I drive (every single time).

2) I am constantly keeping an eye on the tires. The tread needs to be a certain depth and the tread needs to be evenly worn. I like to make sure the tires are always aired properly. Rapid temperature changes can make tires lose air and can go flat when you least expect them too. So I keep an eye on them.

3) I wash and vacuum out the car on a weekly basis (I go to the car wash often).

4) I am particular about the type of gasoline I use for the car and I am particular about the gas station, too. Top shelf gasoline only and only clean gasoline stations do I frequent.

5) Last year I switched to Green Energy as my power source with the power company that serves my area. I cut my energy use by more than half. My power bill is 5 times less than it used to be, even during a heat wave or a cold spell. I don't heat the house, but I do use a Clean Energy Air Conditioner, which also saves on my power bills. My Green Energy comes from Solar Panels, so I highly recommend Solar power if your utility company offers it via a Green Energy program. My winter monthly power bill is less than 20 dollars. During the summer, when I use my A/C, my monthly bill is less than 50 dollars. Before I switched to Green Energy, my power bill was off the charts in the winter and just as horrible during the summer. Green Energy uses less power and your carbon foot print is small, very small.

6) I am saving up to buy a Smart Car (EV). I'll miss my Ruby Tuesday, but I like saving money and I like being energy conscious and not robbing Mother Earth of the energy she's got left. 1. I have a fruit bowl for bananas only. I have a fruit bowl that currently only had Halos in it although sometimes there are apples in there too. Bananas hang on their tree to prevent bruising on one side.

2. I will only eat bananas when they are ripe and the peel is lightly speckled. I find this is when they taste the best. My employee says the same thing. I prefer 99% yellow with no green and very little brown. It's the texture that gets me. Too ripe and they are too soft, like baby food and I just can't eat them. I liked firm bananas.

3. I love pickles and have yet to try peanut butter (or nut butter) on a pickle. Apparently that's a thing. Apparently, it's not just for the pregnant anymore! Here's a recipe (https://www.trialandeater.com/peanut-butter-pickles-chips-sandwich/).

Honestly, as much as I love dill pickles, I've never tried this. **Update** I took a chip and a schmear and I tried it. It's not my favorite thing in the world, by far, but I didn't gag so there's that. It might be better in the recipe with the other things added.

People also say pickles and ice cream is good. I'm not eating ice cream now so someone else will have to confirm this one.

4. I soak oats before making oatmeal. Me too! Since I switched to steel cut oats, anyway. I like the chewy texture better than the more processed oats.

5. Sometimes as a snack I will eat cucumbers with tomatoes and avocado. I take a cucumber slice and build everything on top, squeeze lemon juice and add fresh/dried herbs and a little salt.

I've never eaten this but it sounds absolutely delicious.

I think I answered 4 sufficiently enough for the thread.

#5 I like to make a poor woman's version of a Caprese salad for a quick easy snack. During my 'coming of age' time, I always liked to read about Princess Diana. I thought she was so lovely and a sweet mother to her boys and I felt so sad back when she lost her life in that car crash with the paparazzi, that when I read about her life being portrayed on The Crown, I got so teary.

Which then made me think of Elton John and how his music was exactly what I liked to hear, back as a young adult. His song about Marilyn Monroe, Candle in the Wind, was the song he sang at her funeral. I'll never forget Princess Diana or Elton John.

Neil Diamond is a favorite music artist, from back then. Loved all his songs, especially the sound track he did for Jonathan Livingston Seagull.

I'm hooked on watching car chases. Adrenaline rush.

I've spent hours watching court TV. Live trials.
I find the way lawyers get testimony from their witnesses, very fascinating. I learn so much technical, medical, protocol and random forensics.

I've dated a LA detective.

I've been robbed at gun point. ( more than once, work related)

I've been on a criminal and a civil jury.

1) Stormy weather affects my body in terrible ways due to my health condition (ostero-arthritis).

2) I walk what seems to be a bazillion miles a day (at work).

3) I waited years for a wonderful partner. I have one now.

4) My sweet, lovely man is nine years younger than me. He's so awesome. I'm madly in love with him.

5) My love took me out for an evening of fun (dinner and snuggle, cuddle time) on my birthday and spoiled me to the high heavens with affection and his sweet attention. :stillheart:

I can probably count the number of fiction books read on one hand.

When I graduated from Nursing school, went immediately into Trauma ICU nursing, then Nursing Supervision after five years.

Have a tuxedo cat named Che and a Calico named Calliope (pron. Cowl e ope
just like the New Orleans street).

I'm a PETA, ACLU, and NARAL member who is vegan.

Enjoy street racing cars.

— 1) I am a very shy person, with trust issues; and while it might appear that I’m very vocal (in written form, I am), but verbally I’m not. I’m a very quiet person who is becoming more and more introverted as the years go by.

— 2) I am a visual learner. I quietly watch to learn all I can. Observation skills are probably one of the sharpest tools in my mental acuity chest.

— 3) My auditory skills are exceptional. My ability to hear exceeds normal hearing parameters.

— 4) I don’t believe in the concept of forgiveness. But once I’ve been “burned” by someone, you will most likely end up on my “unforgiven” list (permanently).

— 5) I’m grateful for certain friends I have in life who come from professional backgrounds in the healing sector. I feel blessed by these particular people in my life because I know they genuinely care about me. I return the professional courtesy by contributing toward the health and wellness of their lives.

— 6) Spring, summer and fall are favorite seasons of each year. I like winter, but not in the same vein as spring, summer or fall.

— 7) I have no idea if I will ever entertain a loving (romantic) relationship ever again. I’m definitely taking all the time I need to care for myself after my serious breakup with someone I thought I’d spend the end of my life with. I know it will be a very long time before I can move forward from the ashes of my breakup. I believe in nurturing myself into wholeness of my own and shoring up my ability to be resilient. New adventures and crafty goodness will help me to recover and move forward. ☺️

I’m a strong willed woman, and when I attach myself to an idea, I don’t let go of it. This is proven to be both good and bad in my life.

And even though I am at ease in front of a large audience, giving a speech, but if I have to do one on one in a new situation with a new person, it is incredibly uncomfortable for me

And people don’t realize how sensitive I am. Someone once commented about a physical feature of mine and to this day, I fret about it. I don’t talk about it. But in my head, I feel less worthy because of it. But because I don’t talk about it, people don’t realize that i am sensitive about it.

Speaking of flaws….

When I was younger, I used to collect flaws, like dogs would collect sticks, walking around with them like they were some kind of prize, never realizing they were just sticks. I would often beat myself up with these sticks too. But the good thing about getting older is that you just see them as sticks and you can lay them down anytime you want. Or you can whittle at them and change their form somewhat make them something useful. I pretty much have my sticks under control now.

I hate the smell of vanilla. I don’t know why, but I have a knee-jerk reaction to it. I can eat vanilla, but I don’t like the smell of it.
